It is fine. $10 is not difficult to earn in a month. Though I thought differently when I first joined. The first two weeks, I earned like $0.05 per day, so I thought I would never reach the payout minimum even in three months. But I learnt from the pros like mysD and other members who have lots of experiences. Now my earnings per day increased. And the tasks from SharonBucks helped tremendously.
I have joined myLot only at the end of April, I am just a month and few days old here, but I managed to reach 6 times the payout minimum (largely because of the tasks). My participation earnings are also increasing now.
For next month, I am hoping and planning to earn payout minimum just on participation. Not that I would not do tasks, the tasks will be bonus.

Wow, way to go, Zralte! I thought that I was doing well on here, especially this month, and I was rather proud of my accomplishment. However, your six times the minimum amount makes my earnings look quite paltry by comparison. I do not do the tasks and I don't have any referrals, though, so all my earnings are purely participation ... well, that and the occasional reward from using the search feature.

I definitely would not be ashamed that you did not reach minimum payout on purely participation, especially since you did so many tasks. They pay very well, but they are definitely time consuming. I fear that I would not have any time to play on the boards if I even did one task per day. I checked out the current tasks after reading your post here, and they sound extremely time consuming and rather daunting. I think that I will just stick to having fun on here for now. I may be lazy and earn less money by not doing the tasks, but I am having a heck of a lot more fun doing what I am doing than I would be if all I did was the tasks. However, I think it is wonderful that you are able to do both. If what you are doing is working for you, and it definitely seems to be, then I wouldn't change a thing. Keep doing what you are doing - earning well and having fun on the side!

Gee, thanks, purply one. I am quite proud of myself too. But a little ashamed that I didn't get the $10 mark on participation. That's why I set a goal for myself for the next month.
The tasks, well, need I really say it, I love them. Not the new ones though. The present ones are a little time consuming and I haven't really managed to do much. Done just one and I am not even sure if that is alright. Took all my time last night just to come up with that one task. In the end, I had to forfeit some of the ones that I have accepted.
I am going to copy you and mysD now and concentrate harder on participation (while still looking out for easy tasks to boost the earnings).

I see absolutely no reason to lower the minimum. It is possible to reach it, and more, every single month. If it was lower then users would join and spam with even more nonsense than there is already in an attempt to reach it

A paid-to-post site has a FIXED amount for each post, regardless of what the content is (number of words etc.)
Here we earn for DISCUSSING not for asking questions and posting answers.
here we earn for furthering the topic and creating quality discussions NOT for just posting. You know as well as I do that it is commenting that gets us the best results.

It is what it is, so you either take it or leave it. It's set at a level which is achievable in one month, so if you understand how to use MyLot properly, you can be paid every month.

Well said Owl!
I have an active referral who joined 5 weeks ago. They have already reached DOUBLE the minimum amount because they have done EXACTLY what myLot tells us to do!

I think the lowest minimum pay out is too high, but then again its common with most sites, so we deal with it.

I think $10 is just right. I'm a little halfway the minimum payout. I think the payout is achievable in a month. Just keep on posting and posting.

yes your right, 10 dollars is easy to reached if you have patience to read and post here in mylot though just make sure to avoid those post that violate mylot or it will also get deleted and your earnings will get deducted. one thing i like in mylot is they will pay automatically even without the need to request it.

Honestly it isn't that hard to get the money if you treat this as a job even if just a part time job. Money isn't free and you have to work to get it. Now if Task Managers always paid in a reasonable period of time... then I could get paid. :(
But seriously, it isn't the easiest thing on the planet and it requires you to really exercise your brain, but it is doable to get a payout monthly.

It is up to you if you decide to adjust your minimum from $10 to $25. But if you are that excited like everyone felt when they reach the payout, then you can leave it that way. Then you can adjust your minimum for your second. Hence, the decision is really on your hands my friend. Good Luck!

I think that it is reasonable. If a member is active on here and follows the guidelines, then it is definitely possible to reach payout each month, as you can tell from the other responses. Doing the tasks and earning rewards for using the search function definitely help, but it is still possible to reach the minimum payout each month with just participation.

its not hard to get minimum payout here as you can earn more than the minimum within the whole month if you spend a lot of time posting here. but of course you must post quality post and avoid to post those topic that violate mylot as theres a tendency that it will get deleted and it will get deducted to your earnings.

Hello dragon,
I am not looking for a fast payout here, and I never saw myLot as a hard work : I made some good friends, I joined a few interesting sites, my English is better, etc. It is a very positive experience. As many members -- not me -- are able to reach the payout each month, it seems reasonable for me.

I think its normal for people like you and me, who haven't tried cashing out yet to get so excited with their cashout. I too am experiencing what you feel, but for me, I think $10 of cashout is okay so that people will also be challenged and work themselves out to be able to reach minimum cashout. It is okay because it is just a small amount and I know I will not be able to cashout that little amount of money from paypal because it's too little.
