if you have that blue screen error from time to time, you will need to reinstall you windows disc. ( if you have you disc) you can also try MSN.com for online assistance for your genuine Microsoft OS.

Have you tried to reinstall windows from the disc ? I think when my lap top had blue screen it was because windows was corrupt, quick reinstalation and virus scan and it was all good.

One possible cause is changing of hardware such as memory(RAM), videocard, etc. Incorrect or incomplete installation or corrupt windows may also be the cause. The possible solutions can be a reset of CMOS or an fresh installation of OS.

Hi,
The most popular 'Blue Screen error' appears due to two major reasons. First, there may be a hardware device that is damaged or is not functioning properly. In such a case you have to identify the damaged part and eliminate it. If it is not one of the most essential part, your PC will start working again. But if it is something like HDD, you have to replace it.
Secondly, there may be a software that is not working properly, and most possibly, this software is added to your startup. The application may have a corrupt file that is needed to launch the program. It may be one of those system files as well. If that be the case you may have to restore, repair or reinstall the entire OS. If any application program has caused this you have to identify the program and then try to uninstall and then reinstall it.
Thanks
God bless you
