cleaning house for company

Thankfully I'm the type that likes to have a house clean at all times. So for me its just doing a quick clean all over like dusting and vacuuming. I have a bit of OCD at least that is what my family says when it coms to cleaning. I'm one that does not like clutter or messes of any kind. I rather be this way then some people who live with nothing but clothes and garbage all around like on the show "Hoaders." Have a nice visit with your mom.

There are a couple of things that really pick up a house quickly! Clean bathrooms and kitchens are two of them and the other is a made bed! It's amazing how a room picks up just with a clean dish or a made up bed!

i got someone coming 2 nite and need to get my b... in gear to make the house tiday at least for them. i agress with everyone else it looks a lot better if we make the effort to clean the house up a bit. can't do much about things when people just call in, but others we can. i might even manage to mop the floor today, it not been done in a while. move a few things about.

I've got it made, my mama wouldn't care what the house looked like... As for mil, I'd have to clean but not too bad... just dishes, dusting, vaccuming, bathrooms... and made beds.

Hey missy! That is so nice that your Mom is coming to see you! I don't want my Mom to come and see me for alot of reasons! There would be too many things for me to hide and one of them would be my bf!lol My apartment is still not ready for visitors except the friends that already know what it looks like! I still have to get the carpet up and out or do something with it since it is ruining the look of all the work that I have put into fixing up the place so far! But, the bathroom being clean and the kitchen are always the most important places to be clean when having company! I hope you have a wonderful visit with your Mom! I am going to have to take that trip down to Florida within the next month again or she just might "surprise" me and come here and that would be a very bad thing!

I straighten up and spray the febreeze through the house. Just freshen things up a bit. I spray febreeze every couple of days anyway but that's like a finishing touch before company.

It usually depends on who the company is. If it is someone that I see all the time then I don't worry about what is or isn't cleaned. If it is someone that I haven't seen in a while then I'll vacuum, clean the bathroom, make sure the beds are made, or just close the bedroom doors, make sure there are no dishes in the sink, and maybe dust a little.

I clean the hall very well, there are always some places where we miss when we do daily households. So I do a thorough cleaning in the hall, and then the kitchen where there are some relatives who comes in our kitchen and I will make sure the litter bin is empty and the dishes are done too. The bathroom is one of my priority.
