If I have given the opportunity to choose I will prefer for business because of so many reasons.
Jobs:
1. Your controlled by your boss
2. Fixed salary
3. You don't have enough time for your family and friends
4. Mostly the salary is not equal to your position.
Businee:
1. You will earn big if you want depending on your business
2. More time to your friends and family.
3. You are the boss
4. You can take vacation or day off when you want.
I work before more than 6 years but because of the reason above I render my designation. After a year I put up a small business and I enjoy doing my business than working to a known company. I can now compare this two what is the best.
Recently, Iam back to work but not in our country instead, work abroad. My purpose is to save some capital to support my business who are manage now by my wife.
If you are given a chance which do you prefer jobs or business?

Hi mspitot: I think this is not exactly true because, if you open your own business you have to be very responsible with it and in some cases you have to be in front of the office for hours. You can let a person in charge and don't controwhat he/ she is doing because your business may be in risk because of that. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

Well I suggest that you come home as fast as you can and manage the business by your self and earn your capital from there. The progress will be very slow even if you do come up with a capital from your work. The reason to this is that when you earn from your business you learn from it too.
So my point is why try to let someone get rich and let your business float, and then when you return to it, it's the same as when you left it.

Hi Boyetski: I totally agree with you. It's better that we run our own business instead of making rich other people that will leave us in the middle of the nothing when they don't need our work anymore. At the same time I agree with you in the fact that, when we start our own business we should be prepared to learn and this probably means that we have to front a long process but that's positive at the same time for our vision on the market. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

Hi Hatley: It's great that you don't give up and that you work on the things that you can. I think that here in mylot we are actually making an intellectual job, we are discussing different subjects and we earn money for sharing our opinions so you can consider it as your job.
Thanks for sharing with us that you are also joining mysurvey. I think I would be interested to know more about the site so please, send me a PM sharing with me your referral information to join the site too. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

Id definately go into my own business. If I learnt nothing else from my two previous jobs I learnt this much, I will do well being my own boss. They were two small businesses and I played pretty prominent roles. My experiences at those jobs have taught me that I really do possess qualities that could take me far in my own business.
Good for you that you got started. I am currently attending training sessions to equip me to start my own business in a certain area.
All the best as you continue make strides in wh at you want to do.

Hi tjades: Well congratulations and I wish you the best luck when you start making plans to have your own business. I think it's fantastic that you have learnt form your time as an employe how to manage your own business. So basically you haven't lost your time and that you want to be in a higher position that the one you have for the moment.
For me that's excellent because that's the atitude everyone should have. It's not ok that people want to be employes forever. So, thanks for your answer. Have a nice day and good luck.

Hello Julyteen,
I believe what's happening in your situation is working in both ways. you got job there and the earnings or salary that you get saved and funds for the business being ran by your wife, which is cool.
FOr me, i think the JOb is first priority, i do have a small ice business and mylot but that doesn't add up. for mylot earnings to skype and ice business into buying needs of the house or food and beverages
I still want to work, it's alright if i stop my ice business or mylot. i can't let my mom handle because she's too old

Hi Letran Knight: I think that, depending of the lenght of a business, it can replace a 'normal' job but big business need that we invest a lot of money and of course there's always the risk of losing the amount that you have invested on it. But I think it's great that you have a small ice business and mylot as another source of money, I think that's excellent, actually.
For me job will be my first priority after I get graduated but then I think I'll save some money for starting my own business. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

Hi tsoknat: I think that being your own boss is one of the things people dream about having their own company/ business. In so many times it's difficult to work with somebody that really don't understand the value of your work and that really don't help you. I have known both really good employes but also some others that don't help you at all so they are basically making you hate your job and that's not good for you because, the fact that you need them to earn money it's not enough reason to accept all of the things that a boss usually tell you, specially the negative ones. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

I like to run my business. I've been doing this for about three years now. The only downside is that you don't get a paycheck unless you actually complete freelance writing assignments or post. In a regular job you get paid regardless. I do like setting my own hours and deciding how much I work in a certain time period.

personally, i have not experience doing my own personal business. but i see a lot of successful businessmen which even started in a small one. there are also a lot of people who had been employees before and became successful businessmen too. well, for me, if i have enough money to start a good business, i will really quit being an employed person and employ my own self in my own personal business. i hate being scolded by others when you have done all the best that you can to perform your job. i hate being in a fight with co-employers.

Having a business of my own is also one of my life long dreams. I really want to manage my own business and be able to be independent from other big companies. I like the freedom it will sure bring to me. When I have a business of my own i can work hard to make it more prosper so that I can finally attain my financial independence.
When I am working with a boss it's actually a grueling work. The boss wants you to work hard and give your best to the company yet you will only get a salary. You can never be part of the company because it was never yours and that is reallya big disappointment.

in business theres ups and down, if you dont know how to control nor handle it then theres a tendency that it will get bankrupt, only good business survive and most of the failed. think what kind of business you want that you think will it by public and public need it everyday. while having work, you dont need to worry everything as long as you go to work everyday then you will have your salary twice a month. but of course having your own business is good since you handle your own time. but having your own business need more of your time and attention.

Actually I want to be a business man. I want to make huge money in other to be a rich man since I know that become employ will never make me rich. Robert T Kiyosaki's books have inspiring me. Unfortunately, my family don't support me. They prefer if I become employ with fixed salary and certain future. Now, I work as staff in government office. Most people in my place think that work in government office will give us certain future since we get salary even if we have retired. I enjoy my daily life with flat income

Before becoming a Businessman or self employed, In my opinon you must be an employee first, why? to be able to know the sentiments of being a worker, you mentioned things as an employee, it has a similar reason and actions if you are a boss..it is much wider and modified:
1.You are the boss, and you should control yourself
2.You must have a fixed salary too,to control and check expenses
3.You will still have time for your Family and Friends and that is a quality time,
4.Sometimes you will cash out your salary because of your Low Sales and profits
5.you will earn big and you will lose big too..
6.you can take Vacation if you want and come back to not take Vacation again because of business
7.You can Fail and be an Employee again...
Choose the two because either of the two is work!the other is just riskier than the other...Thanks!

Each option will have their pros and cons.
Working for someone
1) Fix salary.
2) Got to face the wrath of the boss.
3) Annual leave.
4) Don't have to worry about profit & loss.
Working for self
1) You earn according to the effort you put in.
2) Got to face the wrath of your customers.
3) Take leave and you won't have your income.
4) Profit & loss a constant worry.
So to summarise, if one wants to make it big, no way if the person is working for others. But if you are just happy to draw your salary at the end of the month, then working for someone is the way.

Hi sjlskl: I agree with you. Some people are afraid of losing all of their money that represents in some cases the capital that they have earn after years of hard work because of a bad decition. So for some people to work for another person means stability even if they don't earn as much as they would like to earn. However, I think that, after this financial crisis you can be sure that you'll keep your job for a long time. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

If I got the chance, I would like to work on my own business. I am currently employed and work 9 to 5, from Monday to Friday. It's less exciting and the income is quite limited. However, I found that it takes a lot of effort and courage to start up a good business. Besides, I am still very uncertain what kind of business is suitable for me. Therefore, I am learning trading and investing now.

I have been self-employed all my working life and the thing I found is that you don't really get to have more time whilst building up your business. I worked longer and harder hours than I ever did for a boss. But that was far better than being told what to do and when to work etc. I actually wnated to work harder as I enjoyed my work more. I still do, and I wouldn't ever have it any other ways. There are good times and bad times in business. The secret is to ride the storms and take the bad with the good, after making sure that there is still a market for whatever you are providing. Markets change, and sometimes it is time to get out of a certain type of business and find a new one. I have done this a few times, but I have always managed to make a living. _Derek

Business of course my friend. But you really need to have extra money for the investments of whatever business you would have to build up. Money begets money isn't it my friend..that's you can't deny the fact that you have to strive hard for that money you need for the investments. Not unless you were born rich...
Good luck again my friend hope you get lots of money there and share your blessings.

Hello julyteen. Most of what you have said is true. You just missed out some points. I think that you have pointed out all the advantages of a business and the disadvantages of having a job. Not all the time having a business or a job is easy. It will all depend on the person. If the person love his job well that is his business. If a person love his business well that is his job. Same is true when you say love what you do. It don't matter if you earn big or not having enough time for anything else. It is just a matter of loving what you do best, and time management.
But if I am to choose I would go for business, because that is one of the most convenient livelihood in the world.
Very interesting topic. Have a good day. Enjoy.

I totally agree with you the reason that you tell here. I will also prefer business where we can be our own boss and earn much money if we can choose the perfect business.

I think it is vital to have jobs to see the views from that side before going into business for yourself. Some jobs are rewarding, while others not.
