Best IDE of php I am not sure. I am not an expert of php. I am a .net developer. But have some knowledge of php also. But I have not found any IDE like visual studio for php, so any one can suggest me the best IDE for php. I am using the dreamweaver when ever I need to program the php. What about you. Share your experiences.

Hi friend, Some of the most utilized IDEs that have been used for developing a php application are Eclipse, Komodo, PHP Designer, PhpED , Zend Studio, PHPEdit, dreamweaver etc.... And for devlopement on LINUX we have netbeans and some more... With so many amazing IDE options out there -- some of which are even free -- I can't see any reason not to give one a try, particularly if you're a professional. But as you have described you are not looking for professionally devlopement of a php application, best product for you is netbeans or eclipse, you can choose any... both of them are free and easy to grasp and utilize. Enjoy mylotting.

While PHP isn't actually a 'programming language' and You can just edit a .php file on Your website and run it within seconds, so IDE's are not that needed, if you really have to use an IDE, I'd recommend Eclipse.

You can code PHP in Visual Studio with VS.php. Try this: http://www.jcxsoftware.com/vs.php but you must pay 99.99$ I'm using NetBean for PHP. It's free and easy to use. http://www.netbeans.org/downloads
