When I was younger and single I was always buying shoes for myself. They were never expensive shoes but I just liked to have some variety. Now that I'm married with children I pretty much live in sneakers and maybe a pair of sandals and flipflops. How many pairs of shoes, sneakers or sandals do you have?

two, when I can find the other pair... I also wear flip flops to bed, so the cats don't have access to my good shoes I do have slippers, but I always keep them away from the cats, so I never get to wear them!

no, not IN bed, but from where I leave my good shoes to the side of the bed - since the flip flops are plastic, if the cats do rude things to them, they can just be washed off

Do you mean that you wear flip flops in bed when you are sleeping? I never knew anyone that wore shoes in bed. My puppy loves shoes too. Any chance he gets he runs around the house with them.

Many LOL I live in flip flops, tennies and go bare foot when I can. I've had my kids and raised them and now I am still a bare foot grandma! the shoes in my closet range from old than old tennies to new a new pair I bought this year. Since thongs have made "the scene" with capris, I too have many pairs.......... I am not a shoe person. I wear them to protect my feet. I wear a pair to a social function about one time a year LOL

Sounds like a good variety. I really just wear my flip flops in case I go to the beach in the summer or to someone's pool.

I have never been a big shoe person. I probably have a dozen or so pairs. I have got to get me a navy pair. The navy ones i had i wore to church the other day & they were hurting my feet so bad i threw them away when i got home. lol. Can't stand shoes that hurt my feet.

For not being a big shoe person you seem to have a lot of shoes. I can't stand shoes that hurt my feet either. Why do we torture ourselves like that?

Because of the fact that I recently found all of my sandals that I had acquired over the past several years, I actually have six pairs of shoes that I will wear right now. However, had I not come across those things, I would only have two pairs of shoes that I would wear. That is a pair of tennis shoes that I typically wear more than anything and I also have a pair of flip flops that I would typically wear when we were taking the kids to the swimming pool. There is no time for shoes and stuff for myself when I have the children to worry about.

Six pairs of shoes is a good amount to have. You have some kind of variety anyway. I basically only wear my flipflops for going to someone's pool or the beach too.

Just the basics are fine for now. I do have a couple of dress up shoes but they are so old that I'm sure they don't fit me anymore.

lol...same here...I love foot wear and had many, many of them before I was married. But now ...after having kids of my own, I prefer sneakers or flat sandals most of the time....and have a heeled pair or two for occassions.

I have black hiking boots, white sandals, and black and silver flat dress shoes. That's all I need.

Me too. When I was younger and still studying I had enough money to spend for shopping. I like to buy shoes and I had a lot of shoes at home. Some of them I didn't even wear them because I had too many pair of shoes. They were not expensive though, and I never bought a pair of shoes that exceed MYR60. It means I was not spending beyond my ability and never had to incur with any debt when it comes to shoes. Now, I don't have a permanent job and I am married to a husband who doesn't earn the moon and the stars. So I have to save money and I have to forget about my shopping hobby. It is very stressful because I love shopping very much but not able to do it anymore. Sometimes I will just pray that maybe some day a rich person will pity me and leave some money for me so that I can enjoy life just like everybody else. Now I only have two pairs - sandal and a slipper. That's all. I'm so sad..

I never had any shoes that I didn't wear. You must have really bought a lot of shoes then. I never would pay a lot for shoes either. They will just get scuffed up anyway.

I've a pair of tennies, a pair of slippers, and a pair of knock off Birkenstock sandals. That is a total of three pairs of footwear.

I have this same thing going on with me and shoes. Only for me i didnt start buying things for myself until my kids were grown and out of my house with their own kids. I just wanted a variety of flip flips, sandles and clogs. I have a few full covered shoes too. Alomost all of my shoes fit into 4 under the bed storage containers.

I guess I will have to wait too until my kids are older to buy some things for myself. That's o.k. though. That's great that you have the storage for the shoes under the bed.

I agree with you on that. I don't spend a lot of money on shoes or clothes. The shoes will just get scuffed anyway when you wear them outside.
