How many times do you received flowers from your love ones? Or how many times do you give to the girl that you love? Is it expensive of in cheap price? What kind of flowers do you usually give? How much do you feel and appreciate of receiving or giving flowers? How come you like to give flowers rather than anything else?
I am not into flowers that is why I don't receive any flowers from my boyfriend since I love seeing that on the garden. But I would wish to receive that from the contest of course not the beauty pageant but at least the appreciation from what I did.

I haven't received any flowers from my boy, because both of us have the some opinion that flowers are expensive and a waste of money. We prefer to sentf gifts rather than flowers. But when we are having a walk in the street and meeting some one who are selling flowers,I will make a joy and question that "why I haven't received flowers from you",then he will buy a rose for me .

That is so sweet though at least he still buy a rose for you. And yeah some flowers are really expensive then sooner or later it will just fade unlike the other gifts it will be usable and memorable as well.

I know flowers will wither someday and it's sad because they're beautiful. When I got flowers, I pressed them on a book and placed it in my scrapbook to keep the memories.
For me,it's the sweetness that counts not the material use a gift gives. I also think flowers are really expensive so I told him "You could have bought me a slice of cake instead which would be less expensive and I'd satisfy my sweet tooth"
He said flowers are not edible that's why he gave me those and he laughed saying I'd grow fat if he did gave me cake.

Yes, on my birthday this year I got flowers from my sweetheart. They were a bouquet of red and pink roses, I think they cost 300 because there is a nearby flowershop that I often visit and the flowers I have look alike from the flowers at the store.
That was the first time I received flowers and they were the best.
I gave my mom a white and pink rose on mother's day and cake with a message "best mom". The flowers were fairly cheap because it only cost 50 each but the message with it is priceless.

Good thing you are doing that for your mom because usually I don't give gifts for my Mom but greeting her a Happy Mother's day. But she is receiving flowers from my Dad that is came from Dangua (I don't know the exact spelling) and from my brother and his wife as well. They are beautiful that is why she keeps on capturing it by taking pictures. But then I could already collect bunch of images files of flowers.

Wow, your mom seems to certainly like flowers. When there is a special event besides mother's day give her an orchid, it is easy to keep and doesn't wilt when taken care of. There is a restaurant in Lucena called Palaisdaan and sells orchids as cheap as PHP 50. It is very easy to manage and I'm sure she'll love it, especially when that would be the first flower you'd give. I have two of those and it lasted for a month already.
She have bunch of images of flowers? Isn't that great? You could find a creative artwork with that like a scrapbook. I bet you'd gain bragging rights if you could make a scrapbook with those flowers as background of you and your family's pictures. Scrapbooking is fun too, she could also use some petals for decorating it. ^_^

It was the great and surprise day for me when I recollect today, because very early in the morning my house door bell rang and I woke up and went to open and saw my friend with a bunch of fresh natural flowers with different colors in her hand, she just gave me and wished my birthday.

i love flowers..either it's still in the garden or it's given to me... i am a very thoughtful person and i tend to give flowers to my parents when the occasion calls for it... but unfortunately... i never received any flower from my boyfriend even once... and i always long to be given even a single unknown flower plucked out of nowhere...it's the sweet gesture that counts...=(

Hi,
Quite interesting topic to be discussed here.
I did receive a flower from my boyfriend(currently he is my husband) during our dating time.He will give me flowers during valentine day and also my birthday.
I would say he is not a romantic person. But he pampered me alot.
After marriage,he never give me a flower and I don't expect a flower from him too.
I prefer go for a treat during special occasion.

That is so great to hear that. Honestly we don't actually celebrate Valentines day because it has different meaning to me. But he does not really give me flowers at all but for me that is alright since he knew that I am not into it. he just gave me a simple gift like balloons and mug with doll but then I really love it and until now I am using it.

I give flowers to my girl friend for a suprise sometimes, expecially on her birthday . She looks so happy every times , although she usually said "do not give me the flowers " . So in my opinion , most of women love to receive flowers .

What kind of flowers do you give for your girlfriend? And why does she said that do not give her flowers? It is true most women love receiving flowers because it really makes them feel that they were being loved and other than that it adds the feeling of being calm, happiness, inspiration and overwhelm.

For women, receiving flowers really improves our self-image. I don't know why but I prefer receiving flowers than chocolate. Although I'd appreciate both! hehe
Last Mother's day, I gave my mom a bouquet of red roses and she was so happy!

It is actually depending on your concern and the things you preferred. If you really like eating then of course you would love to receive chocolates than flowers. But then if you like the things that are symbolic so that could be the flowers.

I must admit that I have always received flowers from my friends and family. Moreover, I send flowers to my mother mostly, and to my friends who are ill.
I send combinations of daisies and carnations. I send roses to my mother.
I Love the Lily of the Valley flowers.

Well if there would be a choice of either flowers or something else then I would choose the something else because just like you I am not into flowers too, but seldom I do like them when my boyfriend would give it to me unexpectedly and it would always bring a smile to my face. I only take flowers to the church for prayers most of the time though.

Just because flowers will be fade just like food we will just eat it then digest it sooner or later. Unlike the something else at least that could be memorable and yet we can use it.

I have received flowers in my life. i have also been the giver of flowers also. it is eually rewarding. You can not go wrong with giving flowers when it comes from your heart. When you are on the receiving end, it lifts you up. Flowers will give you a good feeling no matter what.

I give flowers to my mom, especially during her birthday or on Mother's Day. But I haven't received yet from anyone. I think for one it's not surprising because I haven't been into a romantic relationship ever since and I really don't care at all. Hahaha! But of course I want to experience the feeling of being given flowers to from my loved ones.

see... meta..
as a boy , he is to give flowers.. girls, she is too accept flowers.. how many of you(boy/girl)received how much flowers is not matter!.. you receiving or not that's matters. its cheap or costlier that is never taken care when it is came to gift for lover..
I see so many south indian girls accepting jasmine chords for 2 rupees from her lover and she wants him to beautify her cloud like hair..
when the flower is for romance... rupees not matters..!!!! thats true..
and you should not expect the flowers for your appreciation because the gift or flowers from lover should have the love not other stuffs!!!...
and dont expect anything... bcoz expectation always hurts

You have a point there that expecting from other people will hurt you oftentimes. But nevertheless we should appreciate of what is there. Count the blessings. I am not expecting just because of appreciation but then I have a dream of that.
