how do you feel when you have achieved something., for instance finished tidying your room, painting the ceiling... i'm looking for the small things., and how much more do you feel when you have created something.., a card or a poem or a smile., what examples can you give and how did you feel at the time ? your thoughts would be appreciated.

I am just as happy to achieve something small as something great. Every achievement is a success to claim as a victory. We need to take pride in the small things we do. Every achievement counts.

I feel relieved and glad when I get the home cleaned. I also feel good, just good. I like my home being clean and tidy. Everything having a place and everything in it's place. When I make something I feel a sense of accomplishment and I'm glad.

it is comforting to know that i am not the only one who like things in order., i sat for three days sorting out beads that i had been given, they where all mixed up colours sizes, and sorted them out., the time it took was a pain, but they are all now where i can find them to use properly when i need too.. not all of the three days you understand.. had other things to do :) the message from the responses so far suggests, that order, and creative acts make people feel very good indeed including smiling :) thankyou for you response best wishes x

Hi Artizan, I love it when I have just finished tidying a room and all is spik and span and I can then sit and relax in it rather than think I really must need to do that, so I feel good. Making others happyalso makes me smile and feel good. CVan't remember the last thing I made, but Ido write poetry from time to time and if aewwords in a poem can make a diferenceto someone reading it I feel an intensepleasurein that a difference has been made. Huggles. Ellie :D

isnt it wonderful to be able to affect others positively., and writing is creative, of course., the theme that seems to be running through the resposes is that clean and tidy/ order and acreative act brings great benifit to the creator and the receiver., making them feel they have achieved, and happy and peaceful...it will be good to have some of your poems and recent thoughts.., one of the previous comments was that a lady writes down good things that happen., i may take her lead and begin to have a good happenings diary.. thank you for your response :) best wishes x

Hi there artizan Hmm, I guess I am quite easily pleased so when I see the bottom of the laundry basket I feel pretty good but what did give me a bit of a buzz recently was almost filling a charity bag nearly to the brim of unwanted stuff. I felt a sense of de-cluttering and good will for the less fortunate.

I feel like I have achieved something by making other people smile! I like to be organized, but sometimes it can get overwhelming so when everything is clean and picked up, I feel a sense of achievement. When I smile and another person smiles back...I feel elated..or happy inside, because I like to see other people happy :)

smiling is such an easy thing to crete and the benefits are wonderful, for the one who gives and the one who receives. I also like things in order and tidy, but my creative activites are messy ! so when i actually sort them out and put them in order i get a double sense of achievement so understand what you are saying. :) thankyou for your smile best wishes x

I feel really good in myself when i have achieved doing small things like sorting a cupboard out, even though it takes longer as i have to sit down todo alot of things now,but i do feel like i have accompished something, rather than the usual nothing.I like to make aswell as see others smile and even if it is taking the time to chat with the lady next door that pops in every now and again,it is nice to see her smile.

i am wih you there.. this is wh i like creating craft things or painting it makes me smile., and in doing so am ready to share that smile with some one else, who then receives a little happiness... smiling at some one is a great thing, as it is returned and makes you feel even better., i try to be thankful for all the smiles and seeing a child smile or laugh or giggle is wonderful i guess it would be good if we could remember that feeling and share it with others thankyou for your happy response that made mesmile also best wishes x

When I complete doing something then I feel good and satisfied .I have a habit of keeping note of something or the other ,if something interesting happens to me and when I 'm done with my writing,I feel so relax ,happy and I get somewhat like satisfied with what i have written.

that is excellent, to write down the nicer things that happened durin the day., so you write and feel good, and are remembering good, perhaps i should begin to follow your example., it would be wonderful to be reminded in difficult times all the nice things that happen... Thankyou for your response best wishes x

I really appreciate your opinion. Yes when I was in school I always used to draw pictures, make flower gardens, writing short stories, poem and clean home surroundings. I enjoyed doing this things very much. I used to learn a small things very carefully. We learn from achieving small thing to big in life.

you sound very similar to my self., i think all children all over are so proud to creat things and give to their parents, and when a parent receives it with a smile and encouragement they are free to express more creative things. I hope you are still creating small things and still writing as you sound as though happiness for you lies in that creativity. thankyou for your response best wishes x
