How do you drink your water?

Are you lucky enough to be able to drink your water right from the faucet or do you need some kind of purifier? At our last apartment we had a Brita on the sink as well as a Brita pitcher in the fridge. We had well water which was really awful tasting and smelling, which is why we HAD to purify it. Now that my husband and I have moved we can actually drink from the faucet without a purifier. It's great! We'll probably end up still purifying it at some point just for health reasons, but it's great knowing we can now drink water right from the faucet if we want to! So how do you have to drink your water?

Hello Jennlk84! Each locality has a different water source. Perhaps, due to difficult conditions, before use, one must use alum to purify water. At my local, water is clean. We just boiled water can be used. My father worked in Russia, he said: In Russia, people can drink tap water without boiling or filtering through filters.

We have bottled purified water. And we make sure we don't run out of supply. There are water purifiers available which you just attach to your faucet but we can't seem to trust them, so we stick to the purified water.

I never drink water from the faucet but instead I always use purified water. The water from our faucet is only used for washing.

Also the reason why I don't drink water from the faucet because I know it's not clean and safe to drink them.

I live next to a lake and the drinking water straight from the faucet always seems to have that "lakey" taste so we use a PUR water filter. I enjoy drinking water so the purifier is a must. As far as bathing and washing our clothes and such, we don't use any kind of filter.

We drink our water through a water purifier that we have hooked under the sink. I don't think I would trust any water to drink straight from the faucet. From what I've heard, most water in the U.S. is barely drinkable without some sort of purification.

We bought purified water for drinking. The water here in our city, unfortunately, has awful taste and smell. and its color is yelow-ish.. that is why, my parents wouldn't allow us to drink directly from faucet because we might get sick. :)

Yes..we drink from deep well before passing through our purifier. We've been doing this ever since we transfer our residence from our hometown to the city. So far no problem with our drinking water and the process of it. Nice topic thanks... Mobhomeir here..

In my country, we have to boiled the water from the tap first if we want to drink it. But I prefer to buy water to drink. Here you can buy a galon of water in less than USD 1. Pretty Cheap, right ??

I never drank water in my entire life until October of 2009. Where I decided it was time to attempt to be healthier with what I ate and drank, so there was absolutely no way I could drink it from the faucet so I bought a Brita filter and keep it in the refrigerator. I had to force myself when I first started but it was so cold and refreshing that I can no longer stop. I now drink almost a gallon a day and have lost 60 lbs and feel great. So I can't imagine ever drinking it from the faucet though.

We stock up on bottled waters! I know it's not very green but we just love to grab one and go. We also have filtered water that comes out our refriderator. I love adding crystal light packets to them. yummy!

We do buy a purified water to drink. Then we use faucet water in doing the laundry, cleaning the house and washing. We also use purified water when we cook.

I drink my water straight from the faucet. A couple weeks ago, I had got my water ready for the day and it had a strange taste to it. Later in the week, they had an article in the paper stating that the city had been adding floride to the water, which would account for the "different" taste. Sometimes, I buy my water, but most often I get it out of the faucet. If I lived in an area where there was a lot of sulfur in the water, then I would for sure be buying a Brita!! That water is awful tasting and smelling.

I always drink water that is clean and purified I never and I mean never drink faucet water because is not as clean as purified water you know and clean water is always very good for one. Still if you drink dirt water that has the opposite effect and is dirty and can make one sick. I remember that I was at a friends house and she gave me faucet water I had to leave early because I felt sick. So I always make sure that when somebody gives me water that it's clean purified water because I have a very weak stomach that can not handle water that is dirty others can, but I can't seem to manage that at all. Oh yeah and I forgot to mention something else too always make sure to drink eight glasses of water it really is good for you.
