Killing their own offspring

These days I find it hard to read this news. It made me think why parents can do this horrible action towards their children. I recalled.. a couple produce offspring because of love making....from the word itself. For heavens sake why do you think killing their own offspring happens and receives few years in imprisonment?
News:
A german mother man-slaughtered her 8 babies. The verdict is a maximum 15 years imprisonment.

I beg to disagree not to blame her (mom).. When women bear children in their womb they know exactly what responsibilities at their hands. So whatever hardships life may offer we have to deal it with open hearts. However, moms who are killing their offspring are surely not in their right minds.

People like that are not ready to become parents so they are thinking that killing the baby would free them from their responsibility but not free them from their conscience. I also dont understand why people kill their offspring when in fact its so nice to have a baby. I am married for 16 months already and we still dont have a baby. Its actually sad that someone who dont want the baby, have a baby and those who want it dont have it.
If they don't like children why not give to those who have not.

It is indeed very very sad to hear about these things, especially without knowing why they do it.
When I had my first baby, I told my father-in-law that I understood why some people kill their children. I know that is shocking indeed. When I had my first child, I had lots of people helping me. But it was still very stressful. I was just imagining what it would be like to be a single mother, having no money, and no one to help out....well, I can very well understand the thought....
Of course there is no excuse for killing, at all......

I'm shocked by this news. For me, It's unbelievable that a mother can murder her children, what I would think is the woman mentioned must have mental disease....

Insanity causes this! No human beings with right thinking would do that crime.
Chronic depression leads to insanity. Probably the mpther is out of her mind when she did that to her innocent little angels.
I will never understand how some parents can kill their own children. You have to wonder what goes through their minds. How could a parent be so cruel to their own child. It's just in human!

This is really a mortal sin. Even if they pay it in prison, they will bring it in their conscience all throughout their life. But the one who killed her eight kids would more likely be insane and needs psychiatric treatment. No person in her right mind can do that however difficult life may be. That act is really horrible and needs to look for a deeper reason why she did that.

There is just no excuse for it - None! Nada! Nilch! I cannot even begin to comprehend how or why someone would harm their own child. Okay, parenting is tuff but so are a lot of other things. As the saying goes "No matter how terrible you think things are, there is someone always worse off".
There has been way too much of this happening and one really has to wonder what the world is coming to...... =(
