Can you learn English writting on Mylot?

Yes i've learned a lot here in mylot. You know friend from the very beginning I am not a good conversationalist. But since then I joined here I begin to speak a little English and write also. Mylot helps me to improve my memory and to create many things into a possible way as my friends here are my inspirations. If I have problems I write it here and ask for their advices thru my discussions. How nice and friendly this site to me or to all of us. More power to all and friends here and to MYlot. If someone is going to edit it for you then you will be able to learn English. I find mylot a good way to improve my skills in English and I think its helpful for other people also.

Yes, writing on sites and forums does give you a chance to improve. What you have to be careful though is not to pick up the jargons like "u", "lol" etc., because they will spoil you general English. Also another thing where you need to be careful is the fact that a lot of people do not care about Grammar. So you might watch out for that. Cheers! Ram

yes, actually mylot will be a big help for you, like in my case i got to practice a lot, and not only that you will also get used to speaking english too. just also join in the discussion and in no time at all you will be an expert in english

In a way yes. Because you are forced to think of how you are able to construct you thoughts in sentences. And not only that, you are also able to read comments from people who can write beautifully and learn how they phrase their words and learn some writing styles from them. The only disadvantage is that, you are not able to correct your own grammar here because there will be nobody who would dare correct you with your wrong grammars because they would not want to offend you.

Hi patxih, I don't think a person can learn English through myLot if he has never spoken or understood any English word before. What myLot does is "enhance" it. I am glad that you find that you have improved your English through myLot. It really is one of the advantages if you join this site.

Yes, I do think you can learn how to read and write in English just by being a part of this big community. Its a great way to meet all kinds of different people and write about stuff you know so that you can help them. I have improved by English and Grammar a lot as well as my typing speed just by being here.

Yes I think it is possible to learn some general knowledge in English by typing in myLot. I think myLot should decrees the age limit so that younger could do postings. We can also learn new English literature words and sentence formations by reading others posts. Just be aware of those "lol" and other unnatural English. They don't have any dictionary meaning and can easily break your English knowledge. Happy mylotting!
