Touchscreen or Keypad

Most of the newest high end cellphones today are now equipped with Touchscreen technology and no physical keypad. But there are still many people who don't like touchscreen and would prefer to have a physical keypad to type on their text messages. For me I wouldn't mind owning a touchscreen cell phone without any physical keypad. I surf the net a lot and I think it would be more efficient to use touchscreen for this purpose. How about you, which would you prefer?

I prefer keypad compared to touch screen because touchscreen becomes damage as we use them they are very delicate also and if anything happen to them its very costly affair to repair them

Touch screen is really useful while browsing through Internet, photo albums, ebooks, videos etc. Also it will be fun for gaming rather than the plain old joystick gaming. But however we have to type in something to contact with others. Typing contents with a touch screen keyboard is an irritating thing but if we use a physical keyboard then we can easily type even without seeing the keyboard. Thus in my preference mobiles(tablets, much appropriate) like Nokia N900, Nokia N97 and much similar phones are the best. However, if there is a touch screen option then it should support multi-touch interface else I consider it a useless.

I don't have a touchscreen phone. However, my dad has one, so yeah, I have experience using one. I prefer touchscreen phones. Well because it nicer when you surf the net, you could actually see it in full screen. Unlike the regular phones, having small screen. I would love to have one, but yeah, I have no money to buy one. So yeah, someday, I'm gonna have one and be really happy.

I am old fashioned when it comes to touchscreen phones. I guess it's mostly because my fingers are too big or something. And also I don't like it when I accidentally touch it while doing something and it starts to do something else. However, having never owned one, I don't know. I might like it if I try. But right now, they are too costly for me.

I always prefer touchscreen. Though it's much easier to type with a keypad, you'd get to use with touch screen eventually. Besides, I don't text a lot. I am more on net surfs and calls, so, basically a keypad isn't that important to me. Also, touchscreen phones have wider screens which gives you a more beautiful experience with capturing photos and playing games--if you're into it.

For me I would prefer using touchscreen in a mobile phone same as the one i'm using right now. But i dont say it is better to use but let's think about that manufacturing company is developing this new kind of technology with purposes. If you found using keypad makes you more efficient to use a mobile phone you must better to upgrade because most of mobile phone's now a day's are touch screen.

I prefer touchscreen, but I'd like to have a cell phone with a touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard. It would be nice. My current cell phone, Nokia XpressMusic 5800, only has a touchscreen.

I have never had a touchscreen phone before. I'm now having a Nokia E71 with a qwerty keypad. I have gotten so used to the keypad that having a number keypad would not do for me anymore. I think I would still prefer a phone with a qwerty keypad because the touchscreen can be very sensitive and not accurate. I did try to type in a few words on a touchscreen and find myself making a lot of typo errors. However, if given free, I don't mind trying a touchscreen phone.

Before, I really wanted to own a touchscreen phone but I think it was just out of curiousity. And now that I have one, I can say that at first of course, it was really hard because you'd press a lot of letters at a time but you'll get used to it. I think what matters is not the type of phone but the use of it. I think both type of phones just have the same use.

i think the best is keypad because the touchscreen was so very sensitive. unlike the keypad theirs no problem with that because keypad is so consistent.

It all depends on habits and tachnology. We have been using keypads from the beginning. So we are familiar with that. Now we do have keypads and touch screens. So we are able to choose. In future we might not have the keypads and we will be forced to use the touchscreen. Then we will get used to that and using keypads will become a thing of the past. But personally, I feel keypads are much easier to use.

I prefer keypads, since I never liked using the cellphone for surfing the net, I use my cellphone for calling and texting as it was supposed to.

For me, I wouldn't mind having a touchscreen phone at all. I think I wouldn't have a problem with it at all. I guess it would be to those who often use their nails to press buttons which causes scratches and would erase the numbers and letters on the keypads. Then again, they can always apply a protective screen layer on their touch phones so that scratches wouldn't be a problem for them. However, there are phones that do have that touchscreen feature but, would also have a keypad. The keypad would just slide out like a typical slide phone and I think that would be very accommodating for both touchscreen and keypad users. But, I do understand how easy it is to press buttons without looking at them. It seems that with keypads, one's finger wouldn't have a problem pressing the right keys while looking at something else. Buttons somehow help in providing coordination while a touch screen would be a little tricky on that.

I own a Motorolla Droid so I have a QWERTY keyboard and its touch-screen. I like the keyboard better for texting because I find more efficient to use. As for the touch screen, it is easier to surf the web on my phone using it. The only thing I don't like about touch screens is that the touch screen can start to die and make it difficult to use it. Luckily, it hasn't happened so far but I had to replace my last phone 3 times because of the touch screen. I guess if I had to pick one I would go with the QWERTY keyboard.

I prefer to have keypad rather than touchscreen. It's because i don't want fingerprints and such stuff and imprints on my mobile and i can type messages faster with keypad. Given a chance i would prefer a keypad.
