I am so sick of being sick! Okay, I've never had the flu, chicken pox, measles, etc. But I get neckaches or headaches once every few weeks. Stomachaches are common for me too. Right now, I have a neckache.
Are you sick of being sick? How often do you get sick? What was your last illness?

There isn't a single day that I do not get a headache and sometimes it lingers for 3 days straight. Then I get a break for a few hours and bam the next day there it is again.

If you are getting a headache every single day then I hope you have seen a doctor about that. That sounds like it could be something serious. Maybe it's just a lot of stress and tension but to have a headache every single day is not normal. Please get checked out. Take care.

Do you exercise? That can make the world of difference to how you cope with stress. There might also be something in your home that you are reacting to, fumes, residues from sprays that you use, chemicals of some kind, cleaning agents, some of these can be from outside your home but comes in through various areas. If you make a note of what is around you when the pain is worse you might see a trend and be able to do something about it. Perhaps you need to buy an air purifier for your bedroom, a good one. Its worth the effort to get you pain free.

Yes I do have to see a doctor about this but have not had the funds and tension and stress have attributed to some of it but it is usual how the onset appears, especially as soon as I get out of bed.

You've never had the flu? In your entire life? Wow, that's amazing.
As for your neck and head aches, have you possibly pulled a muscle? I did that once when I lifted my weights wrong and got this kink in my neck that never really seemed to go away. Then I went to the doctor who had me go to a therapist who in turn showed me how to work my upper back muscles to strengthen them. Ever since if my neck starts getting sore,I will do these exercises to keep the pain away.

Oops, I didn't answer your questions. I rarely get sick and the last time I did get sick was a cold back in the spring when my son was still at school and had probably brought something home..

Yes I am sick of being sick! I have a sinus infection which never cleared up when I was on meds this spring! I get stomache aches, neckaches, sinus pressure, achy muscles and headaches! I don't feel sick all the time but every few days I get a headache at night while sleeping! I really hate that! When I have vacation in a few weeks I'll go back to the doctor and get more meds! It has been hot and humid here! Makes it even worse! Then I find out I am going threw menopause and that hasn't help either! I'm on meds for that and those hot flashes has gotten better!

I hate the flu! but I think I get it once or twice a year. I hat colds and coughs that I get casually because of the rain and when I forget the umbrella. Argh! I think I have less defense against those.
What I do is to take lots of water and it lessens the intensity of the colds.

Whenever I start getting the itchy throat that tells me that I am going to get the flu, I start drinking orange juice, several glasses per day, perhaps about a quart for the day, and it really works to counteract it. I also gargle with listerine daily. I cant remember the last time that I had the flu. Grapefruit juice also works but you have to careful if you are specific medications.

I don't know how hold you are but I swear I could have wrote this topic up for discussion.
I turned 40 this year, last year I had my gallbladder removed, this year my appendix.
Last year had a spinal tap done for headaches, nothing was found and because of the spinal tap had a rebound headache that made me have to lay in bed for a week, it was terrible.
I still get headaches, stomachs and neck pain almost everyday. I also have chest pain. I have not ever been able to find out what is wrong with me, nothing ever shows on any tests, but I still feel sick pretty much everyday. Not pain, but just not feeling well.

Have you tried going to an allergist. I get joint pain, soft tissue pain, drowsiness, and weakness when I eat carrots or pumpkin. Food allergies can really make you feel ill and there will be no signs from what is causing the symptoms. My son gets a splitting headache and drowsiness from the same allergy and his son loses his appetite along with all of the above. I have several food allergies that are really weird and unfortunately I passed them down to my kids, if I eat soy in any form I get severe dizzines and weakness. I get Brain Fog from some preservatives where its as if there is just a cloud over my brain activity. It a medical term that I eventually found out about when I couldnt understand why I was getting that feeling. My doctor did a course in food allergies so that he could keep up with the symptoms that we presented him with every now and again. This was after my son did every investigation in the book and cost me hundreds of dollars only to find out that he shouldnt eat carrot or pumpkin.

I am sick of being sore all of the time. I too have problems with my neck and I also have a lot of pain in my back. I go to the chiropractor every week and still I always hurt.
I used to get a lot of headaches for many, many years. I finally figured out why. I was dehydrated all the time. I never drank water because I didn't like it. But all those years I didn't know that was why I had headaches.
Now that I drink a lot of water I don't get a headache very often, but I still have a lot of neck and back pain, all the time. And my ears hurt all the time too because of my neck pain. And my jaw hurts all the time because of my neck pain.
So yes, I am sick and tired of being of pain all the time. I always wonder what my life would be like if I wasn't always hurting.

The last time I was ill was last May when my appendix needed to be removed. I know how you feel, though, I used to have some little something going on nearly all the time and it was exhausting. About 3 years ago I got serious about cutting down on salt and eating a lot less meat and more vegetables and fruits. I'm not a health nut and not a vegetarian and I do indulge in treats frequently but I've cut way back on salt. I also try to not use pre-cooked or processed foods. I haven't been sick except for the appendicitis for 3+ years, very few aches and pains other than my arthritis and my bad back and even that has gotten better.
Try no processed foods for a week. That means no frozen stuff, no canned stuff, cook everything fresh. No red meat, eat fish and chicken. Don't salt anything, use salt substitute or Mrs. Dash. After a week you'll be surprised how good you feel!!
As for the neckache, go to Walmart and get some ginger capsules in the vitamin section. Ginger does wonders for muscle aches and spasms and it's cheap!

hi stephani right now I am sick of being a diabetic and having to monitor myself all the time. but I have arthritis and yes pain in my knees but its not all that bad. To me it sounds like you may be getting stress headaches and even stomach aches. You need to do what our diabetes educater nurse told us. make yourself a virtual stress proof bubble 'around you and trust it to bounce off all stress. You will have fewer headaches and tummy aches as you will not be all knotted u p inside with the daily stresses of life. You see for a diabetic stress can also raise our blood sugar up really high. I do not get sick very often but if I do not keep my blood glucose in control I c an get really ill, too high or too low both are not good for us. So we do try to avoid stress, you can chose not to let stress bug you.use the pretend bubble idea it works.

Just like you, i also never had big health problems.NO chicken pox(may be when i was infant but its not sure) measles etc.Not even conjunctivitis(i hope i got the spelling correct. i meant that disease that makes your eyes red.) The worst health problem i get is high fever and that i've had only a few times as in 4 or 5? in my lifetime(i'm 18 now). But head ache and stomach pains are usual. Headache isn't that bad but i hate stomach pains and i'm soooooooooooooooooooooo sick of having to bear with it. Its specially worst during mensuration. But beside that i never really get sick except for 2-3 days of common cold during season change but that is the worst that can happen. I soooo don't like blocked nose and watery eyes.

I have colds right now because of the bad weather. And yes, I am sick of being sick. I hate to be sick so i try not to get sick. Drink plenty of water and vitamins and eating a healthy diet and healthy lifestyle would surely help so we won't bet sick easily.

You know, I never really did like it when I was sick the times that I was. It was ever lasting agony and it really is always really awful. I just feel good that I do not get sick as often as I used to. Of course, just by saying that right now, it is just inviting something rather bad for me. Still, over the past several months, I have not been ill in a while.
Now thinking back to the last time I was ill.I had the flu this winter and a sore throat. Sore throats are always bad, because it normally is with a fit of coughing. So the throat is being strained and there is not good times. However, that was a while ago. Still even being sick once or twice a year, not a good thing. It just feels like my entire life is being put on hold, until I recover.

Hi Steph,
I don't get sick so easily but right now my throat is behaving funny, it seems quite sore and is always stuck together so I have to clear it so often, I'm sure everybody around me can hear
Your neckache could be a computer hazard....did you sit too long at the computer in an incorrect posture? I get shoulder aches or even my hands and fingers felt a bit weird sometimes because of long time usage at the computer.

I have fibromyalgia. I've been sick and tired for 14 years. So I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I wake up every morning in pain. I don't sleep well. I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I have a low immune system so the minute I get a sore throat or swollen glands I boost up on Echinacea and Cold FX. They help a lot. I haven't had a cold or flu in awhile, but I am still sick ALL the time.

I kind-of know how you feel. I have a bad back and a bad leg, and I hurt almost every day. I also have a lot of trouble with allergies and with my sinuses. I also have headaches and stuff several days per week. I have a headache right now, but it really doesn't do me a whole lot of good to take anything for it. I think a lot of my headaches are related to stress, but I really don't know. I have no energy at all to do anything, mostly because I work 6-7 days per week most of the time. All I really want to do when I get home is sit around and take naps...

You can do research online and try to determine why you are getting headaches. Then you can maybe try to fine a way to make it better. headaches often cause you to have upset stomach too.
I used to have headaches almost on a daily bases. Then i became single and the kids turned of age and moved out. I hardly ever have a headache now.

My last illness was terrible. First, I was just tired and wanted to sleep all, the time. Then I began to have alternating bouts of chills and high fever. My son carried me to the emergency room where I was admitted to ICU. They kept me 3 days and sent me home with oral antibiotics. As soon as the antibiotics ran out, my sickness came back. This time, I didn't wait as long to go to the hospital. They only kept me 2 days and sent me home with more powerful antibiotics. I've been home a week and a half and feel great. Hope I don't ever have to go back to the hospital. The problem that caused all my misery was a bladder infection that had given me no warnings. I thought I had the flu.
