I like reading books rather than e-books. Though e-books are more portable and get it free-of-cost and easy, i find it difficult to sit up at my laptop screen for a long time :p

Yeah I agree.. Ebooks can be downloaded for free though and yes it is portable, but Ive notice a lot of people prefer the hard book because of good reasons..

I love reading books. Either of the two will be useful. I do believe that reading books makes a man "a man of substance".
Book is a source of information that is why I'm not disregarding it.

I just read normal, every day, old fashion way, hard and soft covered books. hee hee
I have never read or even seen what an ebook looks like. I have never seen one. I don't think I have much interest in them because I think the screen would be too small for me. I don't see so well close-up and I have to wear reading glasses to read so the bigger the letters, the better for me.
I like the idea of downloading a book so quickly but the cost of that is way more expensive than buying a regular book. Plus I go to garage sales and used book stores for my books and never pay more than $2.00 for a book and I know it costs about $25 to $30 to download a book.

Personally, I can't stand eBooks. They're just not bookish enough for me. I like carrying around a big hardcover book with me wherever I go. I like having my personal library spilling out of my bookshelf, and I would hate for all those wonderful paper books to be reduced to bits on a hard drive.

I love to read so for me, it does not matter whether they're printed books or ebooks. Although I still prefer the 'old-fashioned way' of reading - holding a book and turning its pages- I find buying printed books somehow quite expensive especially since I'm on a tight budget and sometimes the books that I like to read are hard to find. That's when I resorted to ebooks. Anyway, I spend most of my time in front of the computer so I might as well read ebooks.

I love reading both, but I am more comfortable reading real books than ebooks. The reason is, my eyes ache after some time reading an ebook. Maybe because of the glare of the CRT monitor that I am using. I am planning to replace this with a flat panel monitor soon.

Way back in college I prefer having books in front of me, cause it is easier and comfortable to use than ebooks.

I just read books. I don't like buying them so I just go to my local library. What I hate though is that they are hard to find and sometimes they don't have the books you want.
I haven't heard of the term ebooks but from your text I'm pretty sure I know what they are.

they are electronic books that can be downloaded online. They can be downloaded for free or for sale.

I like both. Some books aren't in ebook format, anyway. I buy both, and I swap print books on paperbackswap.com. One nice thing about ebooks is that if you want to buy one, you don't have to go anywhere to get it or wait for it to be delivered. Just go through checkout and then download. My only problem with ebooks is that my computer chair isn't very comfortable, and my butt gets sore sitting in one place so long, whenever I get hooked into a good book. I'm waiting for ebook readers to come down in price so that I can afford one. Then I can load my books into it and read wherever I want.

Ebooks also helped me a lot when I was just studying nursing. There are a lot og blogspots out there that offers free downloadable ebooks. Nursing review books and reference books are so expensive and being able to get it free online was really great.

I love reading books because I can read them in any place or position. In case of ebooks I felt difficult to read them. In ebooks you generally don't get all the information.

I prefer paper books to e-books because they are can be carried to remote sites, and they are easier on my eyes than the computer screen.

You are right, I prefer ebooks. They are cheaper and easier to find in the Internet. I like to read normal books too, but most of the time that I go to the library I get dissapointed because they don´t have the book that I want or it´s insanely expensive for a book, so I just turn on my computer and in less than 5 minutes I buy it for $1.

I've never read ebook. I like to get my books from the library. If they don't have a book I want I can go online and search the libraries in the state and get it sent to my library so I can check it out. I love finding books at yard sales too.
I would think reading an ebook would strain my eyes. Besides, I like to get comfy when I read, either in the recliner or in bed before I fall asleep.

I just tried reading ebooks recently. In fact, am reading one now. But I feel a preference for books as I miss the flipping of pages. Matter of habit I suppose.
