I received a phone call, and letter about me winning $10 million, because I entered some sort of contest, that I don't even know that I did in person. On the phone, someone with accent wants me to pay $600 for the processing and administration fee, and the $10 million is mine. I want to say it in "curse words" over the phone, but there are children around, I just warn that person not to call again. That is totally not real. We knew about this scam long ago, why they still using it?

As long as there are gullible people out there, there will be people who will scam others. By this point, I would hope that people would be able to figure out what is an obvious scheme is, especially one. Yet, you hear about these people who lose their entire bank accounts and homes, because they are the targets of this scam. I really just want to shake my head.
There will always be someone who will be scammed. People who are desperate enough for an insane amount of money, that they will believe anything. We should learn the lessons of those who make the mistakes previously. However, as long as there are people out there who will be tricked, there will be someone trying scams. In a perfect world, that will not be the case, but the fact remains that we live in something that is far from a perfect world. Sad but it is unfortunately true.
I wish that all scammers would be punished. Yet when you cut one off, two more tend to pop up. Or a lot mroe. There are those who are willing to pick up. It is a never ending cycle, that has been going on since what might have been the beginning of the time. Ever since currency was used, this despicable cycle has been going on. I am sad to say that it does not look like it is going to change any time soon.

I experienced something very similar to this about a month ago. Someone called me up saying that they were calling from Washing, DC about some sweepstakes I had entered online and that I had won. He kept insisting that I give my bank account information, but when I suggested he send me a check he said it has to direct deposited into my bank account. These scamsters will stop at nothing to try to get into your pockets. What a shame....
