Facebook Made My Day Extra Special!

Hi Mylotters, Facebook did bridges gaps and makes surprises. I am just so overwhelmed with the number of greetings i received via facebook yesterday as i celebrated my 41st birthday yesterday. I received hundreds of greetings from my family, relatives and friends. Until now i am still on cloud 9 ---no doubt i am so blessed having those angels around me. Up to now i am still doing my best to respond to all those who posted on my wall individually! My simple way of saying ---i am so grateful for the effort they made to extend their greetings via FB. I hope this will not be deleted as i am just so happy to share with you how FB made my day extra special. How about you friends...do you have any significant experience with FB worth sharing?

Happy Birthday for yesterday. It sounds like you had a pretty awesome day! I had this on my birthday too last March. There was a whole page of birthday wishes posted on my profile page. Most from friends, but others were form people that I did not even know! They were probably on my friends list though. I just cannot keep track of all of them. Some of them I added as friends after they approached me years ago and now I have forgotten who they are.

I think from memory that I gave a general thanks on my page and then thanked my personal friends via their pages for their wishes. I always try to give birthday greetings to my friends on there, but I often miss the notifications for the ones that I do not know well.

that's good at least you're able to reply back. thank you is enough to let your friends know how grateful you are. it's repetitive but our way of acknowledging their greetings!

Hi Rawbill, Thanks for your greetings. What a great day receiving tons of greetings and wishes...i can imagine you so engrossed reading them all. so, how did you manage to respond on their greetings? i know you have your special way of thanking them too. You're right there were those who sent their greetings whom we don't know but it's the thought that counts. maybe that message will rekindle the friendship built. Have a happy sunday!

Hi Shibham, How are you friend? It's been so long since we've exchanged responses. Thanks for your greetings. It might be late but the mere fact that you did your best to still greet me is enough. again, thanks friend.

The most significant facebook experience that I have happened in June of this year. When I was in middle school, I had a wallet that was stolen during an orchestra performance. Well, I received a message from someone in June that works at the place where the wallet was stolen notifying me that it had been found all these years later in a ceiling tile of a men's bathroom. It really was amazing to me that the wallet was found 16 years later and even more amazing that the people at the Singletary Center thought it important enough to look me up so I could claim it.

Hi Dorannmwin, Amazing! How i wish it will happen to me too. I lost my purse in one of the food chain in Maryland three years ago. I hope it will be returned to me too. no need for the money to be returned, the documents i have in there plus the camera--with some of my pictures in Washington DC. You are lucky for having it back and thanks to facebook.

I am not a regular user of facebook, I only open my Facebook when ever I want to check if my fiance already on her job but I don not open it daily. But I was so excited every time I see notifications on my facebook that some one had posted comment into my pictures or a friend of mine send me a message it was so relieving that they can still remember you even though you don't have time to chat with them or send them a message and this is one those good things that I am thankful about facebook.

If there's one thing I have loved about Facebook, it is the opportunity of being able to keep in touch with the people in your lives whether they are in another country or just busy with their work and daily lives. I have received a lot of birthday greetings on my wall the last time I celebrated it. I also get a lot of reactions from friends whenever I post something about my life that concerns them. I am really happy that facebook was created.

Hi Joiemarvic, You are right. There's no more excuses and reasons for us not to connect with our long distance family, friends and relatives and much more look for our long lost family and friends. What a great opportunity offered. Let's be responsible enough to maximize and use this opportunity to keep in touch. It's good to know that you too had the same experience with me as it relates to receiving MOREEEEEEEEEEEE birthday greetings via FB. Have a great Sunday and thanks friend!

Hi Winky, One of the best things about birthdays is that it reminds the people we care about how special we are. This is the time when they get to see us in a special way more than any other ordinary day. I am lucky to share this special day with you.

Belated Happy Birthday! Huh? NO treat well, anyways, that's a good part of facebook since not only you can build bridges again but also have to be greeted by a lot of people.

Hi LK, THanks friend! There were several treats from my hubby, brother and colleagues. They made me so special and i was so touched by their way of letting me know how i am loved by them. aside from facebook, some of my friends gave me a call and the office prepared a surprise "eating session" for me. it was wonderful!
