What do you regret in this lifetime?

I'd been asking, what if I was born from a rich family? Will I never suffer? Well since I am a poor guy, I do suffer poverty. But do I have to regret my parents being poor? If my parents were rich, will I never encounter any problems at all? I don't think so. Even the worlds richest men have problems. And their problems is much greater than what a poor guy have. So why would I regret being poor. I may be poor, but I am happy. I am poor and I have a very low level of satisfaction.

Em always happy, carefree and sometimes a bit funny. seriously though, i might have made regrets, but i honestly don't recall any of it. Sometimes when we make mistakes, life changing mistakes, i don't regret the things that i have done, for me i take it as a stumbling block, nobody is perfect, we must accept our mistake and find better ways so as not to stumble at it again. Nice Day Jamed

I regret not living for myself and allowing other people to trample on my feelings. I regret that I forgot that I also have to live for myself. Of course, it's never too late but if I had to live my life again, I would make decisions where it would not only make other people happy. I would make sure that the decisions that I make will make me happy even if other people won't be.

Same here. but the damage was a lot than i ever thought it would be. probably if i did live for myself and fought for it, then i wouldn't be in the situation that I am now.

I wouldn't call it regret, but if given the chance to live my life again, I would live it very differently. I would do things I did not have the guts to do. Being poor or rich is not the question at all. Jamed, you could be happier being poor. It is only the financial problem. The rich have loads of other problems from what I have seen. It is really very difficult to say.

Hello jame, A lot actually. We used to be in the middle class, but things went down when my parents started paying for our tuition fees, which are relatively high. it came down to a point that we are sometimes, don't have food for a day. But i never regretted my decision not to pursue women like my brothers did. i am happy and contented despite the fact that it can be very lonely being single sometimes. I am blessed being poor, because i don't experience taking things for granted just like what i did when i was still young.. IF ONLY I COULD TURN BACK TIME!

personally I regret having born as a human being. Because we are all endowed with the power reasoning we all start thinking about happiness or unhappiness. The animals and birds do not have this problem. The happiness or other is due to comparison. When we compare ourselves with better placed people we feel unhappy and when we compare ourself with less fortunate people we feel happy. It is not the riches or poverty that makes a man happy or unhappy. Many rich people are unhappy and many poor people are happy. As you feel I have no regrets having born to poor parents.

That is too sad to hear. Actually we thought other animals are happy but they are not. Have you seen that girl in Youtube trowing puppies in a river? Have you watched Animal Planet before? If you are an animal like birds, it doesn't necessarily mean, you are happy. Human may thought of animal as happy because we don't experience yet how to be or live like animals. But I think animals experience the same problems that we human encountered. They have prey and predator problem. Starvation problem. Human hunting them problem. Maybe what you wanted is their innocence and not their life style.

You're not alone my friend, i too was not born rich although i can say that i was born in a middle class family. Unfortunately my father has many vices and would really spend much on it so all our saving and money was gone. Now we are suffering from financial crisis. It's ok because me and my family are happy and are still all living together. And i don't regret anything that i have. For me, life is already planned by our creator, its up to us how we handle them. All the challenges only makes us a better person.

yes you are correct ......everyone having their own problems... rich and the poor.... but it is better to be a poor than a rich man... i think the rich people are enjoying their life always but they are not able to get that satisfaction with their joy that a poor man's joy....

I actually don't regret anything about my life. I have learned over the years that everything has purpose and meaning. Even if we don't know what that purpose or meaning is. Everything happens for a reason so there is no need to regret anything that has happened in ya life. I wasn't born to a wealthy family either but I have never been a materialistic type of person so I guess that I can cope with not having that much. Material things can be taken away in the blink of an eye so those are things that really don't matter. I feel like I'm wealthy because I have love in my life, heart and mind. I have all the bare necessities and I'm still alive and well. So I can say that I am pretty wealthy. There's no reason to regret anything because then that shows shame. You should never be ashamed of anything that you have in ya life or anything that you have done in ya life. Even if it is something that is negative. You should know that if there is a negative then there has to be a positive so therefor there has to be a positive side to a negative situation. And there's nothing to be shameful about with a positive situation. I don't know. It's complicated but I know that I have no regrets in life and it works for me.
