Now a day, when ever I think about success, I always thinking about the term "practice make perfect". In my opinion, if you want to improve something do make it better, the best way is practice it regularly, do it whenever you have time. When I really interst in something, I always pratice is a lot and a lot because when you practice you will know what's wrong and how to solve this wrong; after you solve this worng, in the next time, you won't afair of it, and you know how to solve it if it happen the second time. It's my opinion, how about you.

When I was about 45 years younger than I am today, I had a band director who did not agree with this. He told us that imperfect practice makes imperfect, so we should always make sure that we perfected our technique before we engaged in a lot of practice, or we would just be reinforcing mistakes.

Great ideas, you help me learn a new thing, I know that but I don't remember about it. Imperfect will make imperfect, so first choice the best way, then follow this way, pratice more and you will be better. I help me to think it clearly.

Yes that is correct! Not only practice but also learning from experience and from mistakes makes you avoid committing the same mistakes. We can also learn from other people's mistakes. Wouldn't you agree?

I totally agree with you. I also learn from my past experience and I hardly get the same mistates. I think if you do the worng things, it is't bad, just practice, practice, you can solve the problems; and you will never get trouble with it again.

Yes I agree, you've got the right word. I don't remember in any fields that never need practice. Even schooling, that is a practice.

There are some things where practice makes perfect, makes perfect sense. Driving a car. There is a reason that most states require a certain amount of time behind the wheel with a licensed driver before you are allowed to drive. I think it is especially true of sports. That is why you do free throw drills. If you are nailing it 99 out of 100 shots you are going to do better when it counts, during a game. Things that i know i am going to need, and keep sharp on, i practice religiously. I know I need to know the terminology that is being used within special education. I drill myself on them, and try to use them meaningfully within conversation.

Absolutely. I think that, even in the absence of talent, you can become good at almost anything through regular, repetitious practice. But you need to be motivated, since practice can be boring!

I don't agree with the quote "practice makes one perfect" b'cause its in human nature to make mistakes and learn from it .Mistakes are an integral part of the learning process and being perfect in something will surely take out the fun of the learning experience btw the quote is also contradictory b'cause no one in this world is perfect even the best people in their respective fields make mistakes. No matter how much one practices he can achieve a status closer to perfection but he ll never be perfect.

practice does make us better at something, and to strive for perfection is not such a bad thing.

You are right, if we keep on practicing we will be able to perfect something or at least near perfect. If you really want to excel or do something you love and you are not 100% sure that you can make it, what one has to do is to really practice at least everyday to do that thing right. Even if it's not that perfect for others but at least near perfect and deep inside you, you know that you have practiced well for that thing then for you it will really be perfect.

When I was younger I use to think this as full force. But as I became older I stand by my phrase that practice makes me content. See now if I do not succeed I am happy and content that I really tried, but if I succeed I am happy as can be. This leads to the feeling of being content.

Totally agree. Practice does make perfect my friend. In our every lives we gain more experience on something we do.and that makes us to be a master of what we do.

Practice- is an act of rehearsing a behavior over and over, or engaging an activity again and again, for the purpose of improving and mastering it(wikipedia):"PRACTICE MAKES PERFCT"; I used that lot uring my youth, but it came to the point that i realized that there is a better way to say it. for me it's "PRACTICE MAKES PERMANENT", since we all know that nobody is perfect except a person that if named after it(And Jesus Christ).. LOL, so by doing it you can improve or master that field that you wanted, and gain succes by the good decision you make... but always remember that nobody is perfect you will still fail sometimes but remember that failure only means that you are now yet at your best! so keep practicing and soon it will be more permanent in you.... :)

Let's see it this way...First practice is an act of rehearsing a behavior over and over, or engagig an activity again and again, for the purpose of mastering(wikipedia):the term "PRACTICE MAKES PERFERCT" is good but we should consider the fact that we can not be perfect, as we all know that nobody is perfect. but rather i would say "PRACTICE MAKES PERMANENT"(it will be as habit or normal to our systems!) and then we can say that we can do things far better by doing it and become masters of the field that we decided to improve and in the end obtain succes...but still we can still be wrong after all "NOBODY IS PERFECT".

Agree wholeheartedly. It's always like that. Last time I always didn't believed in this thingy but as time went by, I came to believe it as my results on my results slip showed my efforts. Only by practicing the thing you want to perform well on, you'll achieve greater results.

Hi luukimlong2000, I absolutely believe in the term, "practice makes perfect." If a person wants to perfect any skill that he or she has, there must be practice. You can take a look at anyone who is famous for their work such as writers, musicians, artists, etc.. They all had to and have to continue practicing in their profession in order to stay on top of their game, if you will. A good example of where these words, "practice makes perfect" fit perfectly is, when a baby is born, it knows nothing except to breath, cry, eat, and poop. As the baby continues to develop it will try to crawl, and with practice he or she will be crawling all over the place. Then, the next move toward improving its mobility is to try to walk. At first there are wobbly clumsy attempts, but with practice after practice, walking become perfected. As the saying goes, "If at first you don't succeed, try try again."

I have heard this phrase all of my life. it usually came from my mother or a teacher at school. There is so much truth in this phrase. The more that we do something, the better we will be at it. Practice may not always what we want to do, but the rewards of our labors will be worth it!

Yes, this is true, practice can rally make perfect. I have seen a primary standard 3 student who can do secondary school maths. What she did was practice daily from the simplest one to the most complex one and she practicing it everyday non stop. This is a true story that really happen. She can do a math work sheet very fast and even faster than any adult.
