When my laptop encountered a trouble, I used google to search on how to install OS in my laptop. The problem is that my Asus EEE PC has no CD/DVD drive. How can I reinstall OS on it.
I have searched also that there are several steps on how to install XP using USB Flash Drive.
Please check below blog about the step by step guide.

It's not just XP that you can install via a USB drive. If I'm not wrong, you can also install Windows 7 via USB drive (the instructions and installers are obviously different).
I generally install Linux on my netbooks though, cause it's so much easier to manage that way.

yeah usb flash drive really helps to manage the no DVD/CD drive situation .
Microsoft has released a tool to install Windows 7.
But a third pary application called wintousb does the job easily .More details can be found here

here is the solution to install XP using flash drive.before some days i installed XP using pendrive and after mobile mmc,but it is true.you need a software called "WinSetupFromUSB",by using this i made my pendrive and mmc bootable, and did process step by step according to its software.then i installed XP successfully.also by this software you can install not only XP but Vista as per process.

Or you can try an external CD/DVD drive. That's a better idea in my opinion because you're actually using the windows disc itself. There are a number of laptops that don't have optical drives and external ones are the answer to that.
