I like to eat when I am hungry, so that's more than thee times a day. I usually eat every 2-3 hours, but with the holidays, my eating has been anything but normal. I am anxious for the new year to get here, so I can get back on track with my healthy eating habits. Right now, there are just to many goodies around to resist :)

As a Filipino, and in broader sense,we Filipinos eat 3 times a day.Maybe because like in my case, our family eats 3 times or more because we better to eat than nothing. As long as we have food in our table and have food to eat, there is no exception as long as there is food in our table and have to eat.Personally I eat 3 times a day,and rice is the main food.Without rice,I feel that I don't have enough strength the whole day.

I don't always eat three meals a day. I don't always get the chance to do so. However, I still try to eat at least two meals a day. I don't always find it easy to eat three meals a day. I know I should, but for one reason or another I just don't.

It's interesting what people and doctors say about this matter. Here where I live, most people have 3 inportant meals and 2-3 little ones along the day...I do a breakfast, lunch and dinner, and 3 small ones. The three big meals always includes proteins (egg without yolk, fish, meat), a bit of carb (pasta, rice, oat, but never for dinner) and greenery (salad, grocery, fruits low on glucose, sacharose of fructose). 2 of my 3 small meals have bit of carb (mostly a small piece of bread) and bit of proteins (ham, tuna, squid with its ink...), and the 3rd is basically milk. the small meals are taken 1 between breakfast and lunch, then 2nd between lunch an dinner, and 3 just before going to bed.
As I suffer from diabetes, I must do meals just like these, to avoid fat, and NEVER eat out of home, unless cook of restaurant personally knows me. Also I avoid most of times 3 small meal because it makes my sugar go really high and fell sick(I have problems but not allergy, and my doctor forces me to do it).
The trick to eat well is not only doing 3 meals, 3 big meals, but many small ones, that's much better, as we don't have the hunger or extra fullfil feelings along the day. Also, this way I have lost a lot of weight, and have no high levels on sugar nor lowerages (my most fear), and feel much better when doing exercise.
Let me tell you one funny thing, my doctor hates a lot my personal trainer, because her "diet to lose weight" made me gain a lot of pounds, didn't lower my sugar levels and despite exercise I had no energy at all and didn't help on losing weight and what my trainer made me do worked at all levels, I've lost definetely pounds, my blood levels have never been so well and I'm full of life.

Well not strictly. I wake up at around lunch time and by 3 or 4 pm, I eat a little snack. One habit I do though, is eating a raw food item (like a salad, or maybe half an apple) before I start a meal. It helps with my digestion a lot, and it's way for me to eat healthy. :)

I think my heritage played a big role with my eating habits. I am a Filipino and FOOD is part of me. My family eat 4 times sometimes 5 times a day. Other Filipinos could attest to that. Aside from the 3 main meals a day. We also have the so called *merienda* or snacks at 3 o'clock in the afternoon and a *midnight snack* I think I do not need to elaborate that. Well happy eating everyone! :-)

I do normally eat three meals a day, but i don't usually have breakfast.I tend to eat dinner and 2 smaller meals... one being at tea time and one at supper. I don't usually eat food between meals, but on the odd occasion i do its generally a packet of crisps or a piece of fruit.

I also generally eat three square meals a day. But on odd days I do not mind eating one time less. With my bulging tummy such restrictions go well. Also on some days I do not mind eating out as well. I ensure that daily I have at least one fruit as it is necessary for my kid.
Cheers!

Hi,
It is pretty normal to have 3 meals in a day.and It same
goes to me.
Every morning, I will have my breakfast, then follow by lunch and
dinner. One thing for sure, I always home-cooked for those
3 meals. We seldom dine out as we believe home-cooked meal
is always the best.
For breakfast, I like to have something light like bread, sandwiches,
steamed pau and a cup of hot tea.
For lunch, sometimes, I will cook rice with some dishes or just cook
fried noodle/vermicelle.
For dinner, I will cook a complete dishes : soup,vegetable + meat.

No, not always, even though I do try to do it, because I know it is the best thing. But sometimes I simply can't do it, due to lack of time, no appetite etc.
