being a working mom is never easy. you need to balance your time as a wife, as a mother and of course as an employee to your boss. this is the kind of life until i'll get old and retire from my work. i could already see the stress that i have to deal everyday, and i'm a bit fearful about it. i try to find sort of things to do to unwind, like going to malls, traveling to province, but above everything, i really find sleeping as a very effective tool to set myself free from stress for a while. how about you, how do you cope up stress?

Yes work and family are giving more stress to us. In my case after my work and in my house watching TV and playing with the children is one way to cope up, I trying to forget at leave in the office about the work. Family problem, thank God because she always with me to face such problem or pressure... so atleast lessen the stress.. see you around

Travelling is an effective way to get relaxed,it is not only mean travel to places far away, you can just take a camera alone, wandering around your near places, seeing others' lives and something interesting, enjoying nature and life, that's amazing!

We're on the same situation dear. Good thing I don't have a boss to keep up with but i still go through a lot of stress. I discovered something a few months back though. I have this garden in my front lawn that I tried to tend and I noticed that every time i do, I'm relieved of stress. So now, whenever I got a headache from stress, I just go and work on my garden no matter how tired i am.

While on work, if you take a break...hearing the voice of a love one is one of the things that relieves my stress from work. :) You can handle your stress at times so try as possible to handle it but if not, i agree with you that sleeping is one of the best stress relievers. :)

i am not working at the moment as i had just been laid off work recently... and i am not a mother yet even though i had been married for almost 5 years... so at the moment, my only stress will be to look for another job to support my hubby financially... in the past when i was still working, whenever i am stress from work, i will go window shopping, eat out, read books, watch dramas on my computer or sleep to relieve my stress... take care and have a nice day...

Well, after a long day in school, I usually take a rest by resting on my bed and switching on my jazz music as I drift into sleep. I find that I can get peace and it makes me really relaxed. It takes away all my stress and I become a free person again. Most importantly for you, try not to think of the negative things you encountered. Instead, try to look forward to something happy so that you'll have something to look forward to and not think of negative things.

When I have much works to do and to get stress, I wish I can have a deep sleep! After sleep, I feel better and healthier.

hi churchill1980,
I have never brought my problems at home to the office and problems at the office to home. The main factor that affects us in our performance at work is the heavy "baggage" we carry in our hearts. Separating work and family would make stress easier to handle. When I am stressed work, I don't force my self to do what I have got to do, though I know I must reach the deadline. I would leave my post and give myself a break. I would go to the rest room and see how I look. When I think I look a little awful and something shows up in my face, I would grab my make up set and retouch. When I get back to my desk, I would feel lighter, knowing I look good. ^_^

First of all I want to congratulate you for being a working mom! And well, I want to tell you that, you can spend time to your children to release stress, I don't have kids of my own yet, but every time I saw my nieces and nephews when I go home, they just get all away my stress in work, and make me feel happy. Their smiles release all the stress I got from work. Children makes us smile. And they are one of the joys in life that really not even the richest man in the world can buy. God bless you!

Its easy to say that family matters/personal problems should be left home. We are just human beings and not robots. We have our emotions with us. For that reason I think and for me, what I am doing to cope up with stress is that I keep on thinking about good things that happened to me the most recent. In that way personal problems will not be aggravated by work related problems therefore you will not feel stressed as if you have a burden on your shoulder.
