Do you sleep with the doors open?

Do you sleep with your bedroom doors open or closed? And the closet in your bedroom? I used to get creeped out sleeping with the closet door open. I have got over this fear, now that I have had someone to sleep with. A lot of people are kind of afraid of the dark. Even though they don't like to admit. What about you?

I sleep with the door open and the closet door closed. I can't sleep with the door closed if my husband isn't in the room with me I get freaked out. I will admit I am afraid of the dark. I can't even walk down the hallway without turning on every light in the house. I feel so much safer with the door open and closet door shut. I got creeped out with the closet door open when I was younger too I still do if it's open at night. I don't know why I gues we fear the unknown.

I use to be like this. We live in his moms old house though. And now that we have lived here a long time I am very comfortable. When he is home I can walk through the house in the dark half asleep. Now if it's me and the girls home alone, that's a different story. But it's more cause we live in a bad neighborhood rather than being afraid of the dark. After watching a creepy movie though I have to turn the lights on sometimes lol.

I hope you meant the closet door and you don't have to jump over the new bed to get out your bedroom door.

I have no fear of the dark. What I don't feel comfortable is sleeping with my bedroom door open. I always think of the unthinkable like an intruder coming in and find me sound asleep in my flimsy pajama. What happened next is anybody's guess.

I think I would feel this way also if my kids were sleeping in my room also. Since they are out of my room I sleep with my bedroom door opened so I can hear more at night.

I sleep with lights off actually but i would admit that i am a little bit afraid of the dark. Good think i sleep with my sister so i don't really feel afraid when the lights are off. I like our bedroom and closet door close when we sleep, that way i won't be imagining that something is coming out of those doors..eheh

Yes the mind is a powerful thing. At least you know you are only imagining. It's a nice part of being grown up.

I never sleep with my bedroom doors open, but with the closet I sometimes leave them open. Good thing they don't make creaking, creepy sound or I would just go right under the bed. I keep my room dark too even when I was single I did that, but now that I'm married, I still do the same thing.

I sleep with a closed door, closed windows, and closed closet. I get so paranoid sometimes that I wake up in the middle of the night to check if everything is locked and secured. I wasn't always like this though. This strange habit just started when I got mugged.

Before I am able to go to sleep at night, the door to my bedroom and also the door into the utility room that is just off of my bedroom has got to be closed. The reason for that is that I guess I feel like that is another little layer of protection should someone get into my house while I am asleep. As far as the closet goes, I really could care less if it is open or not. I know that there is nothing in my closet that can scare me.

I am asleep with the door closed .coz there are so many benefits if you keep the door closed when you are sleeping . 1) you are safer with the door closed than that without the dooe closed ,and it is the reason why human being invent the object "house"; 2) you could keep healthy with the door closed ,coz you avoid being cold ,then you will not have a cold usually. 3)of course ,you could protect yourself and cover some private things with the door closed.

Hi, We sleep with doors closed.Open doors also I can sleep,as a matter of fact I don't think that open doors or closed doors really don't matter to me. I can't sleep with lights on and my wife can't sleep in dark, so what we do is we have bed lamp on and sleep.I think a sound sleep at night brings real good mornings and keeps you fresh and active through out the day. A person Need at least 7 hours of sleep to be healthy. Cheers

i always sleep with the door close... i can't sleep with the door open as i don't want anybody except my hubby to see me while i sleep... also, i get distracted by the slightest sound while i sleep... so i prefer to close the door while i sleep for peace and quiet as well... take care and have a nice day...

I sleep with my bedroom door open and the closet is in my bedroom, but it also opens to the computer room. No problem, there are stuff in the closet so if anyone gets in, I do have the front and back door locked and the alarm on when I go to bed, so if he stops screaming from bumping into things in the closet, I can phone the police. I did have a worry because some of the equipment we had for my late husband while he was an invalid, got misplaced and I worried they would break in and take some of my good stuff - like the piano - in compensation.

I sleep with the door bedroom door open to let fresh air in, but in winter I like to close it to stay warm in the bedroom. I live on campus and I feel safe, so in summer I sleep with my windows and the entrance door of my apartment wide open to stay cool. lol

lol your story reminds me of paranormal activity, for me i sleep with the door closed only because the light in the hallway disturbs me

Lol I have to admit I am slightly afraid of the dark, and I definitely prefer to sleep with my door closed and the closet door closed. I used to have nightmares as a kid about monsters lurking in the closet :-S ATM I back home with my parents and having to sleep on the sofa-bed in our conservatory. It is absolutely freezing, I can see my breath and looking out into the garden at night is kinda creepy!
