If you remember my discussion about two weeks ago, I wrote about me being laid off my work that I had been working for the past 6 years... I had been looking for jobs frantically during the past 2 and a half weeks and had submitted over 50 applications (I think)... I had got at least 10 rejections emails saying that my skills is not suited yet for the advertised position or the position had been filled in... But I didn't give up hope because my parents kept on encouraging me... I am so happy that today at last my efforts paid off... I receive a phone call this morning telling me to go for an interview tomorrow afternoon for an administration assistant job (part-time)... I am overjoyed and cannot stop thanking God for that... Please wish me good luck and all the best for tomorrow's interview... I really hope that I will get the job... Take care everybody and have a nice day...

I guess that by the time you read this response, you've already gone and did your interview. I hope everything went well. And that you get a call back.
Don't forget to send out a thank you note/email to all the people that interviewed you. So that they would know that you're sincere and professional. And so that even if they don't hire you, you could always network with them to look for other opportunities.

Hi lingli_78! I want to wish you good luck on your interview. Just
stay calm and be professional. I went through the same things
that you are going through throughout my working career. You
just have to try to stay positive and just keep on going. Sooner
or later you will find a job that is meant for you. I can't
begin to tell you how many jobs I applyed for and never heard
from because there were so many other candidates for the job
too. I live in NYS and this is a very difficult place to get
a job because there are so many other people always looking for
the same positions. Please let us know how it went.

Good luck to you! I've been unemployed for almost 2 years and have sent in countless applications. Most of my rejections stated I was overqualified for the job!!!! I really hope you get the job, as it will give me hope that I too can get a job :)
