So, for my business class I am creating a business plan, and I am suppose to find my target audience, and I'm also suppose to estimate how much money I could earn. So I'm looking for people to answer these questions for me, I want to get as many as possible, and PLEASE answer truthfully! This shouldn't take you long. I am doing my assignment on plans to start my own animal sanctuary (which I REALLY want to do, it's not JUST for the assignment). So remember, please BE HONEST, but also please know that this is not any kind of obligation! It's strictly for my business plan assignment. *And something some of you may be interested in is my sanctuary isn't just to help animals, it is also going to help people a lot too--so I'm not just targeting animal lovers. Please answer the following questions: 1.Say I was looking for money to just start my sanctuary and start saving my first animals. How much would you donate as a ONE TIME donation? (and also please say if you would be willing to do a monthly donation--don't need a price for that). 2. What state are you from? 3. Are you a pet owner? THANKS!!!!!

Thank you moon :) Could you give me a number for the one/first time payment? I don't need an actual number for the monthly, but I do for the one time so I can add it up for my assignment. :)

$20. I wish I could do more but that is pushing it for me now. This is what I'd try to give monthly too.

1). I would do a monthly donation. 2). Alabama 3). We don't have any pets, because my son is allergic to cats and dogs, BUT he is a huge animal lover, so we would definitely support something like thisa, because it is our way of helping animals since we can't have a pet!

Thank you kris :) In addition to saying you'd offer a monthly donation, could you give me a 1 time amount you would donate to help get my sanctuary started? I need to come up with an actual number for my assignment. So I'll include in my assignment how many of the one time donators will be willing to do a monthly thing, but I also need that one time number. Does that make sense or was I way confusing? lol Thanks!

I could do a one time of $150, but if I did monthly donations, it would amount to more!

Hey Lily! This sounds cool! I hope you would have a plan for a vet to spay and neuter newcomers so that you didn't end up with millions of babies! 1. I could probably afford $100 right now. 2. I live in IL. 3. I have a cat. Good luck with your assignment.

Thank you very much Trace! Yeah I would definitely have any unfixed animals I rescue spayed or neutered before they are adopted, and before any accidents can happen. But to be cautious, I would not allow intact males and females to be together.

i'm from the philippines and i don't have pets, though i've been wanting to have a dog but couldn't coz there wouldn't be anyone that'll take care of it when im at work, lol. but since this is just for your assignment, i'd say i'll donate $100 for the first month, then i'll give a monthly donation from thereon (maybe $20/monthly). i hope that's ok. good luck with your sanctuary!

That's more than okay! That is great! Thank you very much :) If you want an animal that could be alone while you're at work you could adopt a cat? They are solitary any ways and wouldn't mind being alone while you're at work, but if you're lucky you'll get one that also LOVES when you're home with it :)

Thank you carmel :) But I actually need an actual number for my assignment, so lets just say I was asking right now for money, what would you be able to give right now, as a one time payment.

Thank you for responding Mac. This is kind of just a hypothetical question right now. Since I need numbers, how about you just say how much you would donate if lack of funds wasn't an issue. It doesn't matter how small the amount, every little bit helps.

If money wasn't a problem depending on the actual specs I might give a one time of $100.

I have one question before I answer yours. How is this going to help people? Animal sanctuaries are for wild animals. Taken from Wikipedia, the definition of an animal sanctuary: The role of animal sanctuaries is to provide a permanent home where the animals are not 'exploited', used in ways contrary to their nature, In 2008 the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service followed the Captive Wildlife Safety Act and defined sanctuaries as:[4] The CWSA specifically states that an accredited sanctuary must be tax-exempt, # Is approved by the United States Internal Revenue Service as a corporation that is exempt from taxation under § 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, which is described in §§ 501(c)(3) and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of that code; Also read: http://www.bigcatrescue.org/laws/lawscaptivewildanimalsafetyact.htm On to your questions: 1. I would donate what I could, but it really would depend on what I could afford. 2. I don't live in the US. 3. I have several pets in my home.

It would help people because I would hire poor people and people from safe houses (abused women) as the animal care positions and positions that you don't need training/education for. I actually read a news report online today that talked about how homeless people in NYC would rather keep their pet then get a roof over their head. So I started thinking about how I could drive or fly there, find some homeless people with animals, and offer than housing and work at my sanctuary. My animal sanctuary would save dogs, cats, birds, farm animals and the occasional wild animals that need help. If you check out the Best Friends animal sanctuary you'll see kind of how I have mine formed in my head. For the first question could you give me any kind of rough number, I have to add up the money to have an actual number total for my assignment. Even if you have to totally guess, say if I was collecting money right now...as a ONE TIME donation, what could you afford to give now? Thank you very much for being my first responder! :)

This sounds like a wonderful idea and a great opportunity to help others in need. I would probably spare about $40 as a one time donation and also would be willing to donate a lesser amount monthly. I am from Australia and yes I am a pet owner. I have 2 dogs, 5 cats and a rat. Good luck with it all and keep us posted!
