What do you think of slippers as a gift for the kids this Christmas?

I think that slippers is a nice idea. For a kid who has never had an item like that it might be a nice thing, and they probably will be happy for being able to wear something confortable and new in their feet too. Of course any gift should be ok, as the important thing is the intention and the love you put in the act of giving something to another person, but I think that this gift in particular is something I would like if I was in the same situation as those kids

That's a really good idea unless they prefer to walk barefoot. A few years ago I went to the home of indigenous people. They took us around their place barefoot. I lent a pair of slippers to a kid who promptly fell when we climbed. The other members of the tribe laughed and told us that they maneuver better barefoot. My point is that it depends on who you will give slippers. If they live in the city, and they just do not have slippers because they have no money to buy a pair, then by all means, give them slippers. But if you are introducing them to slippers, then that might not be a good idea. If they live in the mountains, how about some blankets? Just a suggestion.

I believe that slippers would make wonderful Christmas gifts for those children.It seems that many children need something to keep their feet warm and that would be a perfect gift. I know I always enjoy getting slippers as a present as well as anything that will help to keep me warm!

I think that that's a great idea, especially in the mountains :) It should get pretty chilly up there in the winter, so slippers would keep them warm. You should get them different colored ones, and ones with little pictures on them, as kids love those. I think it's really nice that you do something good for your community over the holidays. I live in the suburbs, a few minutes from the city, and whenever we go there, we always see plenty of people on the streets, begging for money. I always see them and want to help by putting some money in their cups, but I feel as though I'm the only one doing it, and there are A LOT of cups. But whenever I do, the people around me do too, and I feel as though I inspired them to help out. I'm glad you shared this, because it will inspire others to help, too, hopefully. Thanks :)

Slippers are a good Christmas gift for anyone. Everyone can use them. I think a child can appreciate getting slippers for christmas. Slippers can show off your personality and keep your feet warm in winter too.

I certainly think that slippers are a better gift than bookmarks with verses.

I honestly think that they will appreciate anything, I think slippers would be a great gift, as if they have a lot of poverty in their house then maybe it gets cold from time to time, and they can have some nice warm slippers to warm their feet in. I love wearing my slippers in the winter and Im sure they will as well. This is a great thing that you are doing!

I am sorry to say this its true in India many kids over 40-42% of them who live in villages and 20-25% of them who live in metros dont use slippers.For christmas me and my friends have presented some of them with clothes,good food and funds need for education but its so bad that we did not ralise this.It is so important in our place to were slippers so thanks a lot for giving me this idea.I personaly feel that it would be a great gift for these people but with some good food too,they have only food and clothes in their mind so what i feel is that you can also include this in their gifts and i think this could be included in our gift list too.Thanks again for this great idea.
