It is freezing right now in the U.k. and when I ventured out today my toes began to get numb the fastest. When you are out in very cold weather what part of you gets numb the quickest. is it toes, ears, nose or fingertips. please only clean answers. thankyou.

When it is cold outside and the temps have fallen below freezing, my feet are always the first to go numb. And then my hands! it could be poor circulation, but it could also be because of lack of movement. When we are outside, our hands are free to move around which increases the blood flow, and our feet are confined in boots or shoes which restricts their movement. I usually have a hat on when it's really cold, and I know I am going to be outside for awhile, so they never go numb.

I come from a tropical country but when I visited Australia during the winter months recently I feel my whole body turned numb. I have to use electric blanket and stayed in bed almost the whole day for the first few days of stay there. My body was caught in shock as I am always being exposed to the hot sun. When I got used to the cold, only my fingertips gets numb.
