I did. I am pretty sure by now UPS and the USPS are getting sick of stopping by my house. I have never ordered so much online before. It started with ordering my granddaughter Bath and Body works...then the coupons started coming in..then there was the deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday was hot! I loved it. I didn't have to deal with the crowds...I just sat in the privacy of my own home just shopping away! Did you or do you shop alot online for the holidays?

I did a bit of shopping online.
Most things are shipped from the US and the S & H to Canada is terrible, so I really need to watch this.
I love it that you can also order gift cards online.

I don't understand the 'cash back' that people seem to be talking about.
How exactly does this work?

I usually do most of my shopping for Christmas online. I like not having to get out, and a lot of the time I can find free shipping, so that doesn't matter either. I didn't buy as much as I thought I would this past Monday. I was really cautious on how much money I spent. But I still need to find more gifts, so that is going to be hard for me to do.

Normally, I start shopping a week before Christmas, and I never shop on-line. My companion shops on-line and he has already begun shopping. I love to shop on December 24, evening time, in Manhattan, especially at Bloomingdales, Sach's, Macy's, and local shops in those areas. 34th Street, going towards 9th Avenue, has a few discount stores, however I just live a few blocks away from Bergenline, in Union City, New Jersey (this area is called Hudson County, and it's just minutes away from 42nd Street in New York City, through the Lincoln Tunnel),and this avenue of commercial business is so long it crosses, like four different cities in Hudson County. There are a lot of stores on Bergen Line. The area is mainly Hispanic, so it's very lively as well. I have the Christmas Spirit early this year, and did not experience any down effects like sometimes can happen during the Holidays, and I think it's because I have a changed attitude in my 50's. The attitude is not really putting too much emphasis or importance to any circumstance in my personal life; everything passes, anyway. It's crazy, today I went to an estate sale, we're are located in a fairly wealthy area. All the belongs of the one the occupied the home were scattered across everywhere, and...the Bachelor Degree that was earned in 1934 was discarded. I was like, OH MY GOD..., look at this. People go through great lengths to achieve great heights, acquire expensive furnishing, and a nice home, and then, it is all left behind, and has really no value to another, except for resale, and the original owner does not benefit from it, because they have passed. So, everything must be in moderation, even emotions, and feelings about our limits during Holidays. That is my attitude, and during these weeks and months, as I get older, I am learning to just relax, and let the cards fall where they may. We do what we have to do, and beyond that, it should be done for the excitement of it all, but not to achieve advantages over others, because in the end, what awaits each and everyone of us, poor, or wealthy is the same of two options, if we are lucky; a 6 feet deep hole in the ground, or the oven. So, why all the fuss and depression??? No need for that. Finally, I am at ease of all these troubles, because I made the decision not to let these times stress me out. Have fun shopping on-line, or standing on line, may the Spirit of Christmas, be every day in your life, and especially during the time when our Nation Celebrates the basics of our foundation; God Bless you, and us all. God Bless America! "God Is Our King!"

Oh yeah, especially since we only have one car, it is hard for me to get out to shop. My first shopping experience for the holidays was thanks to mylot when I had money in Paypal to buy a few things for my kids..:) Now, I have not only Paypal, but amazon and hopefully soon, I'll have a prepaid credit card and will even more shopping....

Yes! I've been buying quite a lot from Amazon.com and even eBay - which I never really do. It's super convenient and you can find a lot of things on good deals - but I happened to have missed Cyber Monday and Black Friday as far as online shopping... But that's OK I guess! They still have some good clearanced items and whatnot online.

Actually I don't shop for Christmas anymore. I found it so much easier to give gift cards to our kids and let them buy exactly what they need. It's not as personal but works well for me. We have one daughter who loves to buy things online. I see a UPS truck on her street and know it's coming to her house. It's convenient for her since she has a 2 year old.
Happy holidays,
carolbee

I actually didn't do any online shopping this year. I usually at least buy a few things online. I just went to a bunch of different stores this year and bought some things. I bought some things on Black Friday too. I am finished with my Christmas shopping now so I am not planning on buying anything online.

I have done some shopping online this year with the money I made online. I hope to get my ebay account straightened out soon so that I can buy more there. I will do most of my shopping next year online I am sure. I just hate the crowds.

I bought two DVDS for my daughter on ebay but so far that is it. I have been trying to get her a cute Madame Alexander doll on there but its hard to get a cute one for under $45 or so. This time of year people are bidding on things like crazy to get last minute Christmas presents so its hard to get things some times without paying an arm and a leg for them. At other times of the year the same items could be bought for 25% of the price. I wish I had realized what my kids would have wanted at the time and bought the things for them then.

Hi Jill, I too have done the bulk of my Christmas shopping online, was also going to do the food shop but the delivery slots have been filled for Christmas week already but it is only the fresh fruit and veg bread and milk I will need so will pay more but shop at little corner store rather than have to be pushed about by crowds in a sepermarket. Much less stressful shopping this way. Huggles. Ellie :D

I'm really considering to do the rest of my Christmas shopping online. I was walking around in the mall today and after a few hours I came back home with just one sweater for my dad. My feet was starting to hurt from all that walking. I also realized that I got a lot more shopping done online in a lot less time too. So, I think I'm just going to stay in bed tomorrow (since I have the day off) and finish up my Christmas shopping.

I have never completed my christmas shopping online. I can see the attraction though, no long lines, no crazy crowds, no traffic to deal with. Ahhh, just pure relaxation and plus the added attraction of privacy. Yeah, smart thinking on your part!

to be honest with you, i haven't started my christmas shopping yet... it is good that you are so organised that you have started with your christmas shopping online... and i also don't like to shop online because i don't get to see the item that i will be purchasing before i spend my money... i still prefer to shop in the real shop where i can see and touch the item and bring it home straight away as well after paying for it... take care and have a nice day...

No, not really. I buy one or two things online per year. I'm sure if I could afford it I'd do more. I did just buy my daughter a cd online with last month's Mylot payment. I'm looking to buy my husband some Scooby Doo pajamas or boxers.. they don't seem to sell them in stores anymore but he's gotten them for almost every Christmas since we met. I can't seem to find any at a reasonable price, and when I do find them I'm too broke to get them! Grr. Well maybe tomorrow I'll look and see if I can find them since I know I can't get them at a store.

I have an online store in Facebook so whenever I order items for my buyers, I get to buy something for myself to. But I do it occasionally especially for a special party I need to get dressed appropriately. Last September I bought my dress for a friend's wedding. This month just received my package which includes another dress and cardigan I will use for another friend's wedding. Maybe next time, I'll buy a wedding dress. Kidding!
