Yesterday, we went shopping for the clothes my 2nd Year High School daughter would wear on her Christmas Party on Thursday night. I want to buy a pretty dress or a blouse & skirt for her but she wants a blouse & pants. I insisted that she should try my choices first. When finally, we found a blouse and skirt which fits her, she refuses again and insisted on buying a blouse and pants. I was so disappointed, but there's nothing I could do since she's the one who is wearing it. I don't want her to feel embarrassed and uncomfortable while she's in the party.

Ultimately, my daughter has the choice to make her own decisions as to what she wants to wear as long as it is appropriate. I am not going to let her leave the house with a mini skirt up to her upper thigh. My daughter would know what she feels comfortable in and I am not going to force her to wear something that I would like. I would hate for someone to tell me what to wear. I am just there to guide her and make sure she makes good choices.

Children nowadays knows what they want and expresses themselves well. But sometimes, when i see kids of the same age dresses nice, I hope my daughter too would wear something like that. Maybe in the right time, because she feels she's still a baby not a teenager. of course, i would not permit anything which is inappropriate.
