There are a lot of excellent cooks, both men and women. I honestly think though, that men are the best cooks. I believe this because men are not afraid to experiment with different foods, and they like to use a lot of spices!! :)

in hotel industry or food industry, men are great chef but in every house in every country the one who is mostly incharge of cooking and best chef are woman.i like and love to have a meal in the house especially prepared by mother, fiancee, girlfriend or generally women,i really dont know why, maybe because if womem or mother cooks it has a magic of love and caring ingredients hehe.

my brother tells me it's because women tend to economize and not follow the recipes...but for me, I think women are great cooks but they don't need to be chefs because we've been doing the cooking for such a long time in history that we are letting the men species have fun and dominate that area for now

I don't think there is a better cook with regards to someone's gender. I think both men and women can cook well and even in excellence. Mind you, the head chef (or is it one of the head chefs) at the White House is a Filipina. I've seen her compete on one of the Iron Chef's episode with Bobby Flay. So I think it's all fair in cooking - both men and women can become excellent chefs and cooks.
