Since now my world is change. I am more into typing when taking down notes and problems. My handwritting skills is starting to fade in me. In order not to forget my hand writing skills. I try to write once in a while and forget my typing skills in order to balance my skills. What about you, which do you prefer more hand-writing?

Typing and I'm glad that I learned in high school. My penmanship use to be exceptionally good, but with the constant use of the computer for over 20 years, my handwriting is now no better than "chicken scratch". When I am forced to write with a pen, I nearly panic.

Additionally, by typing I can edit continuously.

I enjoy both actually. I do enjoy typing and hand-writing. I have fun doing both. There are times, when I do have a slight preference for one over the other, but I still do enjoy the two.

I guess most people now have the same dilemma. It's only the teachers who still rely on good old-fashioned handwriting nowadays - and of course students in grade school and high school. I miss writing with my hand. I use to win awards for best handwriting, but now my skills are rusty. I even managed to teach my left hand to write again, but I seldom get to practice. I really want to teach myself steno, but it seems there is no more use for it because of technology.

I would prefer typing than handwriting. But since I'm still a student, I'm stuck with handwriting. We only use typing if we have assignments or projects, because we need to write down discussions and lectures. I prefer typing since you can have "cleaner" work. In you have written something wrong, you can't delete that. You would have to use the white ink. I'm not so into the eraseable ink ballpen.

It depends on. Most of the time I will type it when I am writing a document. If it is a personal mail, I still use to write it by myself. It will be much more friendly since it is my handwriting. I love China

I prefer typing as it is much faster and neater and easier to read. After taking notes in college for many years my penmanship deteriorated.

It depends. If its personal letter than I prefer to hand write it. If its professional type written is the best way to go to exhibit professionalism. However, if you dont have access to a computer or typewriter, you must use your neatest penmanship. Overall computers are the best way to go because of all the tools available to you such as spell check, grammar check, and my favorite, auto fill. You can also save it to a disk so that it wont be destroyed. If you put the letter itself in a file folder or envelope to save chances are that it will become yellow with time. The paper becomes thin and disheveled. Computers are the best way to go as far as trying to save things. Happy MyLotting dl

I would rather type, I can type faster than I can write so it just makes sense to do it that way. I like to write things down on a notepad but then I will transfer it to a word document.

When I make notes or grocery lists, then I prefer to make a hand written note. The only time I prefer typing over writing is when I am working on my resume. It is hard to type in the proper way on my lap top because of the positioning of the keyboard, so when I use proper hand placement, I am making constant mistakes, so I have to hunt and peck or make tons of errors.

I still prefer to write than type even if i have a very bad penmanship. I just don't feel like typing most of the time. Although typing is more fast and convenient i should say. I don't have any exact reason why i still write..haha..i just love to write than t type, maybe that's a reason enough ;)

I like to type my notes because it is easy to read.but sometimes you have to be quick in typing words.I sometimes write notes thru handwriting because I forget already.

Doesn't matter to me because I can do both just as fast. I can write and fast as I type. Sometimes, I prefer handwriting more than I do typing.

I prefer writing over typing. But recently, I had a bunch of notes from class and because I want to take down as much as I can, the penmanship is really bad. I do have a legible penmanship but when talking about notes from class, I tend to write really fast to get as much as I can but it's not really that legible, other than to me. I need to study them again but because it's straining to the eye, I need to either re-write or type them. There was a time when I rewrote my notes but it was too painful. I was lucky I was able to rewrite all of them. I consumed 5 notebooks for it. For the past few weeks, I've been typing. It may take me as long as writing but at least my hands don't become painful. On another note, an advantage of writing is that it's easy to insert notes and even include arrows or encircle stuff.

I actually prefer old-school writing by hand rather than anything else. It's weird, I guess I'm old-fashioned. I like having it readily available in front of me and organizing information via pencil and paper. I don't know if that makes sense.

Hi syoti: I prefer typing because I can write faster when I am in front of a keyboard. However, I am a writer too so when a huge isnpiration comes to my mind I prefer that it would be just a piece of paper and I. ALVARO

I definitely do a healthy balance of both. Although I can type much faster than I can write, sometimes I feel like it's easier for me to write quickly if I do stuff pen to paper? I think it's so easy to go back and correct mistakes when you're typing that I waste time perfecting what I'm writing when I should be just jotting some stuff down quickly. I love to type anything I do want to be edited and put thought into, and I type out my menus and grocery lists because I like having them saved to look back on. I always lose notes I take on paper.

I prefer to balance the two, mainly because I don't want to lose any of my skills. Since I was in grade school, I have had terrible handwriting, but as I started writing more when jotting down my ideas, or writing a paper, my skills have increased tremendously. Then again, I have been typing all my life and am used to it as well. I really couldn't choose between the two, even though I seem to type a lot more, but it always helps to have a diverse "arsenal."
