I learned over the weekend that a friend is dying of cancer.
So, even tho I'm starting this discussion, I may be a long time (if ever) responding to everyone.
I met my friend in high school. And while we weren't always close at least physically, we were always friends. As soon as we were together it was like we had never been apart.
Also, the roommate has a school friend who's mom is dying too. Because of her situation, we have invited her to live with us, tho where exactly we are going to put her is still up in the air.
We will, for sure, have to have another SHED!
So, if you are a praying kind, or even just a glows sending kind, please keep Judy and Patty in your thoughts.
Judy has cancer and Patty is dying of lung problems - and won't quit smoking.
And if I'm not answering discussions, know why.
I love you guys, and will be in and out.
This ever happen to you?

i had a close friend from my college days.we where very much close. a month ago she been admitted because she hardly breathe because there something block her nose then after a while or an hour she had been nose bleeding.
the moment she text me that she was confined in that certain hospital i was so worried, i called her, that i never knew what happened to her i learned everything when i got to the hospital. the moment i saw her, i was so shock coz i can't imagine that she was so thin coz from the moment we been friends she's fat and now she is so thin. when i took her mom what happened they did not told me that is already cancer but my fiance thought it is cancer. before we go out from the hospital, one of the nurse who was assigned to her is my fiance's friend, then he asked his nurse friend what is the findings of that certain cells block her nose. then, the nurse answered that it was a cancer. i was chilled, i don't know how to react. at the age of 21 she have already cancer. i could not look at her directly to her eyes coz i felt my tears is falling down. now i was relieve & thankful to God coz she is on her recovery. she is now on her third session of her chemo therapy.
thank you, Lord.

Well, I always knew Judy wasn't the healthiest of my friends, but she's dying of the same thing that killed my friend Elaine in 1998, ovarian cancer, except Judy's was discovered even more advanced. This is also what killed my co-worker, Linda, in 1992 or 3.

I'm so sorry to hear this and Judy and Patty will be in my prayers. It's awful to watch someone fade away. I'll be thinking of you and praying you have the strength you need to help your friends on their journeys.

i'm so sorry about your friend and your room-mate's school friend's mom, elicbxn. illnesses are so difficult to handle. i hope they both make it through still. it's sad that just as you are still coping with your own loss, another comes along. i had a similar experience a few months back when two special people i know came down with different illnesses just a few weeks apart. saddest part is, they didn't make it. their deaths really affected me, but somehow i was also thankful because they didn't have to suffer from any pain anymore.
i hope your friend and the school friend's mom get all the support, love, and care they need to fight their illnesses. you stay strong too and take care.

Oh dear Elic I am so sorry to hear your news! I am the praying and glows sending kind so I will be sure to do both for your friends Judy and Patty. There are no words one can say to make the situation better except to remind you that your friends here at the “Lot” are all thinking of you and your loved ones and send you their love. The only experience I’ve had in a similar situation was when my mother in law was dying and, although I made a point to go and visit her on the other side of the country two months before she passed I was not there for the duration of her illness; her daughters were and my heart went out to them each and every day they spent by her side while she was sick. My heart goes out to you too Elic and you all certainly have my prayers and don’t worry we will all be here when you come back. Blessings to you all...

Take care and don't forget that you need to take a few moments for yourself. It's ok. I have loved and lost and I have dedicated myself so I do understand. See you when I can and think of you when I don't. Prayers and glows for Patty and Judy from my way..oh...and some for you too.
