What do we need to change the looks of our money.

I just heard about the news about revision on Philippine Money. I am totally disagree with the changes at the moment. We are under construction from our New President Era. And yet they are starting changing the money.
Why don't they focus their work on How to Earn more Money and Let all Filipinos get a job better if it will be stable. Rather than changing the looks of our present money. I smell small minded people are organizing this. I am really shame to them.
They are not focusing on the present problem but they are focusing on the creating new problems.
This is the possible looks of Philippine Money.

Not that I know much about the Philippine Monetary system but generally changes to money happen to keep people from being able to make counterfeit money as easily. At least that is what the Federal Reserve System does over here in the United States they change our currency to avoid people from being able to make copies of the currency as easily.

Well for me it is just about time they changed the money since there is rampant counterfeits of our current money. I heard that this new bill is much harder to counterfeit and more security features had been added to it. I am not really conscious about the errors about that details of the money but I think those are minor ones.

Well nobody's perfect anyway.... Which is more important the security features or the design?

I so agree with you syoti. I think the last time we had a major change it was the introduction of the dollar and two dollar coins. The notes were withdrawn. How much money did it cost the tax payer to do this? I don't think it was necessary and I cannot think of a single reason for them to do it. On top of that, they got it wrong. The one dollar coin is larger than the two dollar coin and to this day still causes confusion especially with elderly folk.

I noticed that for every new administration or president, they want to express their identity presenting a new face to our tender/money. If you see something wrong about this move, I suggest that you also look at opportunities presented by this situation. The first batch will surely have some problems. Better get copies of the new money because it can become a good collector's item.
Happy mylotting.

They are in the process of changing our money one bill at a time as well. I understand that the changes they are making in US bills is to make them harder to counterfeit. The bad thing is that last week or two, they were printing $100 bills and the paper folded and ruined a lot of the money they were printing. It would be nice if all the countries had better jobs available for the citizens.

I think the government sees it as a way of boosting the Philippine Tourism Industry. I like the new design of our currency. I just dont like the errors that happened in printing it.
Going back to the currency design change, the new design could interest the foreigners in visiting the places that are on the back of the bills. More foreign tourists or investments means, more income, more business opportunities and then more jobs for us. You have to understand how the economy works and how the money flow works in this country to be able to appreciate changes.
Professional economists have predicted that it will be a good year for business in this country. People are still hoping that things would go good.

We need to change the appearance of our money because we need to cope with the changes (Historically Speaking). Every year there are changes that really molds the country and will be a very important part of our history, so by changing/altering the looks of our monetary bills somehow we commemorate these changes that brought us where we are now.
And besides, majority of the countries in the world are doing this, so changing the apparance of our money is acceptable - we just need to open our minds to changes.
Thank you very much.
Happy MyLotting!

I agree fully with you. Suely they should work towards the more important things like helping people get better and stable jobs, and find ways of making more money so that that will help the country. It seems as when someone new takes over they like to stamp down there authority and make many changes, of which many are not needed and will cause more problems in time. I do not see the point of changing the money, you are all used to the money you have now, surely it will cost a lot to change all this also so why create more hard work and more changes that will not benefit anybody? Seems really strange to me.

Hi syoti,
I don't know how much does it cost to print new currencies but it may be a lot. Maybe I should consider one response from our friend that to prevent counterfeits the government has to print new currencies. It may be one valid reason. Another is that money gets "tired" after passing different hands and different places and the age shows on their torn edges, erased markings, and others are torn in half only held in place by transparent tape or worse, stapled together.
Some higher denominations are still almost in their pristine conditions and you may be right after all. They should be finding better ways to make everybody have access to things that people with a lot of money can have.

Anyhow I think we cannot do anything about that we are like military obey first before complain... So will see what more problems ahead for this new administration... see you around

It sounds like the Romans used to do it, changing the faces on money, or the design shows power. In the USA we have the most prominent people on our money, the people who want to be on the money just want the power but none of the responsibility that comes with it.

We must have this statement to our money: In god we trust, It gives luck to many coutnries that they were first world countries now. The new design reminds me of Australian dollars, the only difference is that Australian dollars have a hole on it but thats how the design look like. inn 20 years Kris Aquino will be in 500 pesos.
