Well, there have been many moments I got helped by strangers. I recall my first day at the university. I was searching for a certain room, but wasn't able to find, cause I was unfamiliar with the building. A strange girl approached me and asked, if I was in trouble with something. She led me to the right place. It gave me a good feeling for the rest of the day, I find great that some people are willing to help others. I've also tried helping others and it feels great. If every person would do at least one good deed every day, the world would definitely be a better place!

Generally, I think the majority of people are kind and will do things to help others when they can. I had one instance where this man came up to me while I was pumping gas, and gave me $20.00. He said, it was "free gas day." I will never forget that moment and how much that really helped at the time. This also happened to me several years ago...1995, when a man did the same thing...said, "I paid for your gas!"

There are a lot of amazing people out there still today. I try and always carry some spare change with me wherever I go as I know there are people out there that could use it. One of the easiest things people can do is walk around with a smile on their face, you can cheer someone up or change their lives for the good without even realizing it.

My boyfriend and I struggled immensely this year and well he finally landed a show out in another state. Primarily because the Director is an old friend of his. Because my boyfriend and I have not gone anywhere in a couple years, the Director flew us up there and all expenses paid.
So that is a random act as my boyfriend and this old friend have not spoken in many years and for him to think of my boyfriend was truly nice of him to do this for us.

I got a card from a person that i work with and instead of the usual $5 coffee shop gift card, she wrote a check for 50.00. She told me to go do something fun, and relax. She knows that there are a ton of bills to be paid, and that we are struggling.
I was at a thrift store, and my 2 year old decided to have a temper tantrum. She had just gotten in a few books, including one about mother's kindness. AS I was leaving with nothing in hand, she handed me the book, a mug, and in the mug was a packet of hot cocoa. She told me to head home, and when the baby was asleep take a few minutes for myself.

I was at the mall with my cousins and aunt, and we had just finished eating a good meal. We had a lot of food left over, and were on the escalator doing the tourist thing (I was introducing them to the city I live in)...Behind us, a homeless man was carrying all of his belongings in a black garbage bag--with barely a thing in it. He was dirty, way too skinny, and yet, he had this look in his eyes that I will never forget. My aunt and I looked at each other, and said something about giving him our food. Before I could even think, I knew what had to be done.
I turned around and told him we just finished having a really good lunch, and that we had food left over. I asked him if he wanted it, and he looked at me with those eyes--I never felt so loved by a stranger. I handed two styrofoam things of food over to him, and said, "Enjoy!" and we spoke no other words.
I will never forget that man. He made my day.
Giving really is better than receiving...:) It's great to meet you punkgurl73
