If mylot requires you to put real pictures in an avatar,would you go for it?

Wonderful story behind your avatar. Well back to your topic, I would. I think, perhaps it's a requirement, so by hook or by crook, I have to abide by it. But I still prefer to put pictures that represent me, rather than my own picture. I'm quite expressive and prefer to use other things to tell people about my feelings and things like that.

I guess i didn't really like to put my real picture, but in case mylot requires me to, i have no problem with it. i'll just put up my real photo. But then again when i think of it, how do they know if it's my real photo and not just some other guys? not really a problem i guess

I don't mind it at all. I have no problem to use my own photo as my avatar. Actually I have uploaded quite a lot of my photos online. As well as you, right now my avatar is my son:) Since he is my angel. If I didn't have a child, perhaps I would upload my own photo:) I love China

I can't see why they would require it - that would be goofy! But I put my real picture up anyway. I don't know why, I just do this and have since I started here. I think it makes things a little more personable and gives you an idea of who you're talking to (or what they look like, at least). I like putting a face to the people I talk to online, for some reason. Cute avatar BTW :)

I really don't like to put my actual photo up, I guess I am just a bit nervous about that. My avatar is just something that I thought was really cute and sort of fit my attitude towards life and had a fun and dark side like me. I like yours though she is so so cute.

I don't think myLot would do such thing, but if it does, I'll put a picture of mine as my avatar. Yet, I don't think anybody would like to see my vinegar face . But I like more the picture I have now as my avatar as it shows my two loves: dogs and nature.

Though I am handsome and consider myself good looking, yet I would not like to use my real picture as avatar. I share my pictures with only those who are good friends here on mylot.

I am glad that mylot gives us the choice on what we want our avatar to be. I think that if we were forced to add our picture as a profile picture then I think there would be people who would quit mylot or not sign up at all if they were new and it was required. Sometimes people really want to maintain their privacy and thats important to be able to do so. I have been thinking of taking my profile pictures down and just putting up something that others can recognize me with but I am not sure what yet. I have started to worry about stalkers tracking me down or even something smaller like everyone in town seeing my picture and then gossiping about what I write.

Well I don't think that mylot would ever requires us to do that, but if they did than I would have too because I would not want to be banned from mylot I love it way to much this were I go to type and earn some money so that I could buy things like for college it really does help. Every little bit counts and that is always so true.

If a picture is required naturally I would, however what is to say that someone who posts a picture it would actually be them. My Wendy girl avatar I use simply because she is so cute. I like to see her as my avatar as she cries, sings and yells but hurts no one ears. Kind of like me in real life. I am a very silent depressed person. I do not go around telling people how I feel as I think they would not listen. So Wendy does it for me.

I have just answered a very similar topic. I look very stern, whereas I do have a sense of humour- not apparent in my passport photo. Besides, who would know if the picture were really you or not, unless I posted one of a famous actor on my profile? As it happens, the avatar on my profile was at least created by me, so has some of my character.

Yes I would go for it, but as of now I like my default mylot picture since I find it cute.hahaha . If mylot wants us to be more real why not we are here to follow their rules and regulation.

I do not want to put my photo in my profile, if you put your photo there it becomes the property of the site. The only owner of any of my photos I want is me. I think you never know what will happen to or with the photos you put on sites. I was listening to the news and there was this report on Facebook, it stated in the report that Facebook has taken the photos of its member and used them for their own purpose. Now there is this uproar.

I'd really go for this, as I wouldn't want to lose my myLot account so I'd rather just show my face to all of you guys and maybe even hear what you think (:

i think i will if they make it a must to be able to stay as a member here... but again, i don't know how they can verify whether the picture that we put in our avatar is our real picture or a fake one... also, with so many members already here, i don't think they will want to bother to go through this process... take care and have a nice day...

Your avatar is lovely! Mine is a cat because I adore felines of all kinds. The reason I don’t have a picture of myself as my avatar is because I have my photograph on several different sites such as Facebook and my writing sites so I thought I would be different here where I spend a lot it time. It saves me having to look at myself so much (LOL)!

Hi, Mtrguanlao.:) I have no problem using my own pictures here. I did that. Matter of fact I already used two of my real pictures here but I keep on changing my avatar since my face and mood change as time passes by.LOL But it is a grewat thing if we can stick to only one avatar because we will be able to recognize the poster or respondent easily by being familiar of his profile picture. Some has stories to tell others do it for fun and as their mood requires. :) Your baby is adorable.:)

Cute baby of yours :) I will be posting my own photo if it is really required. Who knows we can be bumping into each other on the streets and we don't know that we are actually friends here. Nothing really special about my avatar. I was just playing online when i saw this game that i can create and dress up an anime so i did try and i liked it. That's why i made it my avatar here. My previous avatar was my World of warcraft account, but i changed it because i keep on missing it everytime i see the photo of it.

I use my own picture to display it as my avatar. I don't have any story behind it, I just like my picture so I put it here. I think it is good to have your own picture because you are easy to find out and predicted by your friends and they can start the discussion with you more easily because it will make you ordinary.
