Hello Lotters, I don't know what has gotten into me but some how i felt like barging in or commenting on other people's response on different discussions. but recently, am just doing that mostly on mylot topics just because i was easy enough to comment to other users responses in different discussions. guess it's something when some one like me gets bored but still wants to be in mylot. but then again,I am still SLOWWWWW! as a turle I found others won't find that annoying because there are times i want to comment on you're response, even if it's not my discussion. that was actually my method before after a friend of mine introduces this method and calls it bargin which is already done by veterans. but i didn't last. so,now am starting again. Most specially those topic starting lotters who are a bit lazy commenting on their responders Any thing else you did when get bored here, with out leaving the site. Have a Great day.

I actually started doing this a month ago, as a veteran asked I should join as well. I was so happy as it makes the discussion flow and happier for me. I did not in the past because I have seen members taking too rudely to others by saying get your own box, which for the life of me I do not understand why members felt they own the box. myLot guidelines do state that we should read all responses before replying as they want us to contribute and not duplicate so it makes sense to do so. Anyways can I say I so have had fun seeing you pop in, especially when the starter does not come back. Great job.

lol @ 'your box is prettier than mine' That is a good enough reason and any box with lots of colours in it does make the makes bright and cheerful! I guess that with all the discussions with no comments from the original poster we could all find lots of places to barge in and get those topics moving

If only there were more who were barging in! After all if myLot give us the chance to 'add comment' then it is part of our participation activity here. I am always suggesting that others do it and you know that it's one of my favourite pastimes here I can honestly say that I am never bored. There is always too much going on for me to be able to keep up with and if I ever manage to get back full-time then I have notifiers from way back still in my mail. I also have a folder with all the daily Digests and there are tons of discussions that I missed there that I can go and add something to. Maybe in the New Year I will do just that and revive some topics that bit the dust too soon...

Hello Aunt D. It's hard to track down discussions of friends. So, probably I could patch up with topics that I am a bit related with and add a few on other responders too. Probably it's something that I haven't done in a while. But that's because I didn't feel it rewarding at first because it may not be good for me in the long run. But I am doing it for quite some time at least. Maybe it's not bored but more llike sleepy a bit here since I have been checking on discussions lately that are not so related to me. Thanks for dropping by Aunt D. have a great day.

hi LK! as i haven't been starting discussions for a long time now, i'd rather respond and add comments as well as sub-comments to a select few (discussions), mostly started by friends in my list. hehe i'm such a lazy lotter lately coz of other work so i'm just cruisin' with a few discussions whenever i have time. not that i'm bored with the site or anything. it's just easier for me this way. i mostly respond on discussions started by friends or new discussions. if i'm not in the mood to write anything, i usually just browse and read discussions which are sometimes interesting and funny or just to keep updated on what people are talking about in the philippines and mylot.com sections. "barging in" discussions are usually a nice strategy to keep the discussion alive with a healthy exchange of opinions, comments, views, philosophies etc. it's also a way to reunite with mylot friends thru discussions or meet new ones too. aside from of course it may increase the number of your posts and earnings as well. have a great day too LK! regards to your bro, and greet him a happy birthday from us lotters! hehe enjoy the party.

Hello Myles, How are you lately? Hope you're doing fine though. Guess the safest way again is to comment of bargin in to friends discussions instead. Well, not only am a bit lazy but easily get tired too when I focused more on different discussions to look nor to respond. Some topics are just interesting as the responses in it. So, that's when I decided to stick around and comment on those. That's true, exchanging ideas through bargin in is great since it could spark up more talks and discussions. Thanks a lot and happy holidays.

hi letran I also love to barge too and I love it here that my age is not ever brought up or fussed over but I am treated like every one else here.I like it when you comment on my responses as I feel I am just part of mylot and accepted, which is lovely. I was shocked awhile back to find I had actually not xommented back on some discussions and realized I had been ill during that time, not an excuse just an explanation.

I actually never knew it was considered barging. I thought I was free to comment any place it said 'add comment'.

Hello Hatley, Actually, nowthat my internet speed is slow then my posting speed has gone slower a bit. It's not something I expect but it's just the way it is, not to mention my time has lowered here as well just to save some energy I think. Well, Ybong you can barge and there's nothing wrong with that since we are all have the right to do so. There's nothing that the admin forbid us in doing so, therefore no other user can forbid you to do so.

Would you mind if I barge? Actually I wouldn't do this if Letran is among my friends list or you my dear hatley is not in my list either. @LK I'm not really the type to barge, I just feel like doing it now, anyway it's christmas and most people would be going on vacations.

Letran- I suppose I've never heard responding to another in a discussion as "barging in". Since the day I started at Mylot I have often commented on comments other than the original post. I've been involved with forums for so many years that it is the nature of true discussions to speak with everyone who comments, not just make your own comment to the original post and leave. I suppose I simply do not understand why anyone would interpret that as "barging in" to be honest. It is simply the nature of a group discussion and a way to share ideas. If a person is not up for the sharing of ideas perhaps they should be a hermit. Namaste-Anora

I totally agree and have the same perspective. There are people on mylot who go nuts over rules: do this, don't do that, so maybe this is a home-grown rule.

Letran- I think you misunderstood what I was relating, I already make comments on other people's comments within a discussion. I always answer the original text first, then I go through and if someone's comment stands out and I feel I can add something more to their train of thought I will add a comment. I'm saying I don't feel this is taking over their discussion, it is not detracting, it is not barging in-it is simply having a discussion on a thread. I run a forum of my own where we have many interests each with their own threads of many topics. If no one commented save to the original post we'd never have any real discussions. Most of us comment back and forth building a conversation. If people are offended by this on Mylot then perhaps they should not be online at all. Namaste-Anora

Hello Anora, Well, it's actually a rename for commenting on other comments scenario, Rberon just made it look does like it's barging in, which really worked. Maybe you haven't seen his discussions lately in the past. Actually, it needed something to renamed with since other lotters are not fond with commenting on others discussions. So, he came up with this idea, very intriguing indeed that some new bies then were actually talking about it. Give it a try. Have a great day.

I'm not into barging to others space or box. I just like responding to the discussion by contributing my own and so that I dont have to argue with other people, which is bad.

You are right that arguments can leave you feeling bad. Seems hard to say much about politics without getting into trouble that way.

Glam- I think the terminology is what is giving this a "bad taste". It is very common place on forums to respond not only to the original post but to others who responded as well. This is nothing new to the net. I've been online since the late nineties and this has always been the place where forums and discussions were concerned. Namaste-Anora

Hello glamdoll, Well, that interpretation Ain't that Glamerous to begin. Personally, I wouldn't never barge into some very sensitive, close minded and heated debate discussions. Usually on those usually easy to commented topics since you don't have to think that much for real. I believe you have the right to get into some one elses box, because mylot does permit you so. Most specially if you have something to say. Djbtol, I guess you're the type who prefer to barge into politics, sad to say I never said anything like that in this discussion. That is every ones choice for that matter but I strongly don't recommend it for sensitive and political discussions.

i never do this before here... i don't really like to comment on other people's responses which is not my discussion because i don't think it is the right thing to do... anyway, i already have lots of things to be done here without having to do that... :-) take care and have a nice day...

I had no idea that everyone was supposed to be kept into their "own box". I find many people's conversations very interesting and like to comment on their comments. Wow, do people really not like it when others comment in their boxes? Do they get annoyed if people post in their boxes? I wouldn't care if someone posted in my box. How are we supposed to know what "boxes are off limits" from other people posting in them...goodness, that is not fun...

I found out lately that I am lazy to post my own discussions as well as to respond others post. Maybe because everytime I came from work I much tired and always late. Even though I am tired and running out of opinions but still I tried my best to shared some of the remaining thoughts that I have within the day. I am sorry for those people who spent their time to response my discussions and I comment on it late. It's really different if you are full time here compared to members who spent only less time after their regular job. I start myLotting as a full time and I really missed all those years that I stayed here almost 8 hours or more than 12 hours a day. Because of my recent status I can't do posting within that time frame because I am afraid that after the day I will lost all my energy and also lack of sleep coming to my work which is not good for myself and also to my job. As long I find time to be here don't worry myLot friends I will response all you post if time permits me to do so. Thanks for all the support and I promise to be with myLot until the site still online.

haha..i see your method. it is great if we can do that. it feels like having a conversation in real life. but sometimes i am a kind of clumsy to comments in other discussion if i don't know the person very well. i will try your method and who know i will get the fun too

Well sometimes I do this but not often. I think I've seen you do that a couple of times, including my latest discussion, I think so. But, that's encouraged by Mylot. Mylot always encourages ongoing discussions and comments on responses. I do see some discussions where the comments to the responses kept going and going but in some cases, the responses do go out of point But seriously, that's ok. It kind of maintains the 'atmosphere' in the discussion and those ongoing responses will invite people to join in.

hello LK, I've been doing same thing for weeks now,but with friend's topics. I like it and i am enjoying it really. I just hope no one get's annoyed I never felt bored mylotting, though sometimes i don't feel responding or making comments. I just check on friends topics and tried to scan what i missed and find time to catch up and then go. I never had in mind of leaving mylot.(never find a reason to do so) And i am hoping not to find a reason as well cause i really enjoy it here. HAPPY HOLIDAY dear bro

Hello Sis Jaiho, maybe I should do it with my friends topics instead. I took the risk of doing it in some topics of strangers but some of them knows me. Why should I be afraid, am not saying something bad about what they said. I only hope I don't get a bad interpretation of what I have just said about something. It's either am situation something that person just said or simply adding something he or she said in the discussion. As for me, am not leaving mylot just yet I think. Happy holidays Sis.

@Letran, I see you all over the place honey and might I say you do contribute very well no matter what the discussion is about, so keep "barging" my dear as you do provide a great many members with lots of helpful information. When I have noticed that some get offended by your provided great information even if they do not want to follow the rules, I always (+) you as I know some members are misunderstanding the rating system. Here is a (+) Merry Christmas!!

I haven't been making up any new discussions for a while. I much rather prefer to reply to other people's discussions that have become popular. IT really is a nice way to keep my account with mylot active now and again. I hope to reply to as many as I can. I know what its like to be a slow responder because there are many things in your real life you have to deal with.

Yeh i started doing this a few weeks a go now aswell i find it a way to earn more and a easier way to make more friends and communicate easier here on mylot plus it cant really hurt as it is only a comment not a responce so you can really type what you like as long as it is in reason of the point that the reponder has said lol.
