Isn’t that there was a time that cellular phones are for rich people? And then whenever we see someone who has cellular phone we were amazed about it then the phone was look like an old school phone that is like a cordless now that can be use in our home as our landline?
Do you still remember your life when you are not using cellular phones or when most people are not using it?
Do you find it easy or hard without a mobile phone?
Unlike nowadays you are already surprised that even your maids and other people who are not financially unstable or even poor people has their own cellular phones? I was able to hear that the personal maid of my former thesismate has her own blackberry mobile phone which is much more expensive than the phone of my thesismate, that is why a lot of people and her friends are telling her that they would want to apply as her maid.
I remember those times that we are not using mobile phones. There are times that I don’t really find it hard because during my school days if we are having a meeting we are actually communicating to each other about it about the time and place that we can meet but then the disadvantage is that of course there are times that we are waiting so long with other colleagues that we can’t even know the updates if that person is coming or not. But then at least there is a landline phone that we can call and pay for it.

Now, hand phone / phone has become a primary need for the community. hand phone does not only belong to the upper class, but also the lower classes. When looking back at the past, people used to wonder could live without the use of hand phone. However, whether the impact of the presence of hand phone is always positive?
When we use the hand phone to communicate, we will feel that the first long distance, now so close. As long as there is a pulse signal and support, we only need to press the numbers that we want to call and voila!, We will be able to chat with the owner of the numbers, though maybe he was out of town or abroad. Not to mention the existence of technology that allows exchanging SMS messages. There are some people who prefer to SMS's than the telephone. The presence of the Internet is also cause people to want to always be updated with what's happening in the outside world.
All this convenience is not always beneficial hand phone user . Imagine if you're not to be disturbed by anyone, but your cell phone kept ringing while your inbox is filled by SMS. The only way that our privacy is not disturbed is to turn off the hand phone. But Can we turn the key?
Can we activate it while when we do that, many thoughts crossed your head. How it later if parents contact you, and it turns out there is a problem important? What if you invite your friends to go hang out while one of the easiest devices to use to contact you is hand phone? What if your boss gives employment not be postponed again? And many more similar things that make us can not disable our hand phone.
So, if there is no other way for people to socialize with each other while still maintaining privacy? For now, no. When we are socialized to use devices such as cell phones are so personal, the only way to maintain privacy is to turn it off. And of course when we turned it off, we're no longer socialize with the outside world (in this case, communicate with people located in remote areas with us using the phone / SMS / internet).

Yes I remember the days that i don't have mobile phone so hard to fine a communication line with somebody to talk to because if they are moved from place to another then how to trace them? If we are moving and there is no telephone on that place well for sure we are all lost. And to remember the time that we are in the emergency situation well so really hard. All we need is to make sure what we have talked about the places we would be. And make it sure no need to change the location. But now it is much easier because those mobile phones helped us a lot. We are easy to locate anywhere in the world just tell your true location. So easy to have cellphone.

Gosh I can still remember when I was in grade school and we didn't have a landline/house phone. I had to always "verbally" communicate with my friends and neighbors by either looking out for them in school or in the street to say something or if I'm inviting them over, I need to at least speak to their parents for permission. I believe it was better before than today because we get to speak person to person and face to face. You can see the person's reactions to what you're saying to them and vice versa. Unlike today, you can't tell if the person's reply through text or BBM (Blackberry message) is a nice reply or not because you cannot tell the emotion through their text or even on the phone. You can only guess it through the tone of their voice or if they put smiley faces on their text or something. Back where there were no mobile phones, people are more upfront or more outgoing and expressive and we communicate better because we meet up, we socialize more than today. When they invented the 3G thing for mobile phones and the succeeding "chat on mobile phones", I think that's an excuse to meet people up. I'm not against it though, it was a breakthrough for communicating with people especially abroad but for the lazy folks it means that they don't have to go out of their houses and meet up anymore.

Well, yes, time is changing,we have experienced lots of new things in the last 10 or 20 years. one thing is our mobile phone.
Of course,i still remember the days in which most people don't have a mobile phone,at that time, mobile phone is a represent of your status. And there are lots of movies which shows the boss and rich men taking a very large-sized mobile phone,in the eyes of nowadays people,it is ugly and funny.
Now,almost everyone of us got a mobile phone. and students of very young age also carry a mobile. It really change our life. There are good ones and there are bad ones. One good side of it is that it make the comunication more easier. We can get in touch of our friends and family member in seconds no matter how far away we are from each other. The bad sides of it are: its rediation can cause disease, too much using can influnce children's study......etc.

Yes, I do remember the life I had before these handy devices. Whenever I wanted to call my friends out, I had to use landline phone. If I was somewhere away from my home, let's say at the city, I wasn't available until I returned home. So my ability to communicate with friends and family was limited and depended on my location.
Now it's easy and I can go everywhere as long as I stay in the broadcast area. I don't depend from my location anymore and it's actually very cool. I think that mobile phones are very useful devices that make peoples lives easier (at least they should).

When I look back on it, I don't know why I didn't get a cell phone earlier than I did. I guess I just felt I didn't really need it, so I never had it. Now, that I have it, I don't want to be without it, as it is a way of life, and it is the only phone I have and use. I wouldn't know what I would do without a cell phone. I can do so much with it, and I am glad that I have it. It sems that cell phones are what wse all depend on to comminicate with our family and friends. I have a smartphone, as it has a lot of features, and I am so glad that I have it. Take care, and have a very good day.

hello metatronik!
the advent of cellphones proved to be most advantageous to most people, especially the businessmen and other people on the go. It has bridged communication from far-reaching places and countries and made transactions, business or otherwise a lot easier to do. At present, i could not probably live without a cellphone because of my work and relationship i am currently nurturing. However, there are times when i long for those days where we still don't have cellphones. Life is much simpler then. We write letters and we go visit people to see how they are. Now, at the touch of some keys, we can connect to the people we want to ask how they're faring at life.
Yes, cellphones can both be a bane and a boon..depends on which side you view it. I remember my life without it and how it used to be. But now, i would not want to live without my cellphone out of necessity.

I suppose back then it was not so necessary for me as my children were quite young and I did not need to worry as perhaps I may be more apt now. I so remember not having to pay for it as I have such an expense now.
However due to the conveniences of having it I suppose it is quite worth it. I am spoiled with it as now I do not have the landline. LOL

hi,
yes, i still remember this, when i was in high school student,
being a student that time we really need a thing that can use to communication,
during that time we only have a telephone at the office of our school,
so we still have to go their and ask for the teacher.
so there are time wasted and of course an energy to walk going their.

Technology makes our work better and easier.
When there were no phones yet, yes, we used to wait for so long for someone. But we were used to it. We were used to not having phones.
But now, the demand for phones increased because we are already used to it and we know that it makes communication easier and better.
