How many winter jackets/coats do you have?

Ridiculously enough, I am now up to 5. I want to know what's normal. Ok, out of the 5 (I want to sell 2 on eBay, I just haven't gotten around to it - I never wear 'em), I only wear 3, really. I have one hardcore Old Navy down parka Eskimo-style long coat, I have my new Polaris sporty black-and-pink winter coat, and I just bought a light pea coat from Gap (got a super good deal on it). I'm thinking they all have different purposes and are for different weather increments and are of different styles. And that is my justification. LOL.
How many winter coats do you have?

I have maybe 20. I think it is too much to be honest, but I really like buying winter coats for some reason...

i can't count already how many winter jackets i have because i still keep the old ones... but i only wear 3 of them constantly during winter and hardly wear the other ones... and my winter coats all have the same purpose... take care and have a nice day...

I am not sure exactly how many I have but I know I have a bunch of them. When I moved down South, I never got rid of my "northern" heavy coats. I have several long coats, one for work and one for dressy, several shorter coats, or driving coats I think they are called. Then I have a few ski jackets from back in my skiing days. I really need to get rid of a bunch of them. I also have lighter weight coats which is all I really need for down here.

I just have one really good winter jacket, but I don't use it often. I just have one Columbia thermal coat which I use almost everyday these days. I don't get too cold, and I hate wearing a winter jacket when I'm driving.
Seriously, you should get those 2 on ebay quick.

I have 2. One is an old leather coat I only wear when I'm liable to get real messy ( my wife still claims it smells like pigs blood from 2 falls back ). The other is my leather duster. Without the liner it's light enough to wear in the fall & with the liner it's good through the worst of winters.

i have one that i have had for almost 20 years and is still in good shape. i have another one that i got for free from an aunt and i just got a new short down parka for Christmas. I also have a suede fall/winter coat that i got for free from another relative.
i am in canada so we get all sorts of weather thrown at us and one does need a variety of coats.

The number is too ridiculous, and I only wear two of them (one short leather coat and one long leather coat) the others are just hanging in the closet(s). I was going to try to sell them at our annual garage sell, which is held every year on the first weekend in November, but I had a Saturday class and couldn't participate; I really could have used the money too. I think you just gave me a great Idea, sell them on Ebay. Thanks

I really only have one good coat. That is about all I need. Of course, i have a lot of warmer clothes, like hooded zip up sweatshirts and the like. Then the winter coat does come on when it is cold enough. Which is actually quite often. Still I like my space in my closet and only one coat is needed for me. Its a nice coat, that works, so its all good.

Well, I see you have quite a lot of coats! In my case, I only own one. I don't feel the need to have more, and I don't have much space at home anyway for big clothes like a coat, but for me just one is OK. It's getting a little old, so I think I should buy a new one, but first I need to find an appropiate one, so it can become a good substitute

I dont have a winter jacket. I've never seen the point in them. I live in New england where it does get very, very cold. I think I'm just warm blooded or something because ever since high school, I'd have to say 9th grade I haven't worn a winter jacket. I usually just wear a t-shirt and a hoodie. I think my oldest daughter who is nearly 7 is going to be like me. She hates having a coat on.

Well, I have 3 jackets and 2 coats. I wear jackets more often than coats. The one I bought from Nepal is more stylish, snug and comfortable than the other two that I bough here in India. I wear coats only on special occasions.

Nice collection you have there. I only have two: one for cold days and one for rainy days. The one for cold days is made of wool and the one for the rainy days is made of the same material as raincoats but it's not a raincoat. It's kinda thick actually so it's warm to wear. Sometimes i wear it during winter instead of the other one. I hope it doesn't get jealous.
