inactive friends?

Hello Asliah, i'll answer your questions one by one: 1. I don't check my mails, because my mail is full of that kind of mails, i just check "friends started" sometimes i this is how i participate in some discussions of my friends. 2. Not every kind of topic catch me. There are things which i haven't experienced and i got nothing to say about that. I prefer to impress personal opinion, but i can't have that personal opinion if i haven't been in similar situation. For me posts like "No i haven't done it, i don't know how would i react" are none sense and i got no motivation to post something like that in the discussions of my friends? 3. I don't think that participating in my own discussions is indicator for activity. I don't expect them in my discussions, but when they come i get surprised. People will earn here, wherever they participate so the choice where to join is theirs.

I have a few inactive friends too, but I don't give it a second thought. It could be they might not have anything to comment on, maybe they haven't logged in to mylot in awhile, or they might not be interested in the topic. I don't take it personally, because I am not interested in a lot of topics too. I check my emails, and I read through the topics my friends have posted, but sometimes I just don't know or have any comments to make on their topics.

I think the reason why some of your friends were not responding on your discussion is that they may be doing other discussion or they are interested in responding to another topic.I am actually one of your friend here in mylot and I sometimes see the topics that you are posting.Sometimes I respond to your discussions and sometimes I don't coz I have different interests. Some of your friends here in mylot may not also have an access to the net all the time that is why they can't respond sometimes or even log in there account.They may not have their own pc or laptop in their house and still needs to rent pc outside. Anyways 32 responses are good enough to have.I will be very happy if I will get that number of responses..

I've only got 1 friend on here as I've only been on here a short while. I'll be your friend and hope that we find each others discussions interesting.

I think some people don't have interest on some of our topics being posted in mylot discussions. I'm a newbie here in mylot but I found out that if your topic didn't catch the readers attention, you will gain a few response or nothing at all. The more interesting your topic is, the more people will read and post responses.

I have a lot of people who are inactive too. But not all my active friends respond to all of my discussions. And I can't respond to all of theirs. I keep up with what I can, and respond to the ones that interest me the most.

Not everybody will respond to your discussion, sometimes it might not be an interest of theirs or they may just not be on the computer that week. I have a lot of friends and I check them every three months to see if they are active or not. If they aren't then I'll delete them. Most of my friends respond but many don't because of the topic.

Well dear some may not be active, others may not be interested, others might be just too busy commenting back on their own posts, or others might just be too busy with other tasks so they could not not log in regularly and unable to catch your discussions. My advice is not to expect your friends to always respond when you make discussions. They could not always respond for one reason for another in the same way that you don't also always respond to their every discussion either.

I always check my email. some friends really reply if they feel the topic. Others are inactive. I was also inactive for the previous months but I miss mylot so I came back here. LOL

Hi Asliah. That couldn't be possible. Though we have a number of friends in our profile and even if they are all active, we can not expect all of them to support our discussions. There could be factors like, interest, relevance or relation to the topic that must be considered. Plus, we also have to consider the different time zones that we have. Some of us are wide awake while others are already sleeping like a log. Besides, like you, those friends of ours have other friends, too other than us. :)

This is one of the reasons why i always check the friends i accept. I make sure they are active so that when i make discussions, they are active to respond to it. Sometimes our friends don't respond to our discussions because they don't have any idea about the topic and sometimes they think they can't contribute to the discussion so they just leave your post.

Not all of them. Sometimes, I got 0 response from any of my friends. I assume that my topic just too boring, and no one ever want to make response to it right? I don't know. I can't blame them. I myself try my best to answer as much as I can. That is all.

it is difficult to define in majority of cases they are inactive infact mylot is a community where people cna be active for a period and afterthat not at all..so you should consider even from this point of view...i have amny friends too...but not all or better the majority did not answer to my discussions it cna be normal i guess on mylot..

Not too many are active from my friends list now but every so often the ones who are still posting are no commenting on my posts... I don't post much so I won't get much back but I prefer to comment more than post.. More interesting things out there rather than what I want to post hee hee Happy MyLotting xx
