Making an income on myLot...

How many discussions and responses do you think you should make in order to get enough money on myLot to be considered a main income?
I think if you give it a few hours daily you would make a decent amount of money, but I don't know about making a full income on myLot.

First consider that myLot is not a paid-to-post site and therefore there is no fixed rate for each post. Then realise that we earn for discussing and the more interesting your topic, the more responses it might receive and therefore the more chances there will be for you to comment and further the topic.
If you are very inventive and original and your topic is something that has not been discussed before you could spend all of your time here and just start that one topic and comment back forwards on it all day and you would be surprised at your earnings.
If you are also able to recruit a few referrals and able to get them to be active participating then you would be earning too from them.
Then consider whether you are able to complete some of the writing tasks (available right now in the tab above) and you will soon be seeing a nice amount adding up.
Whether you can live on that though is extremely doubtful so why not just think about having fun here and think of the earnings as extra because, as far as I know, no-one would ever consider using myLot and making a job of it.

One of my referrals on Neobux nakes thousands and posts videos on Youtube (which you might have seen) each time he is paid. He put a lot of work into recruiting and got off to a brilliant start when the site launched almost 4 years ago and have never given up
Did you check the tasks too? You might enjoy those knowing that if you do them correctly they will boost your earnings by $2.50 each time.
It is fun here, a lot of fun, and beats the soaps every day!

I'm sorry, I read it but just forgot to answer. Yes, I have seen them, but I'm not sure about how they work.
Does the users pay you themselves? What if you do the task and they don't? Does myLot keep track of the whole task to make sure you get paid for your work?

Thank you for the help.
But there's something that the FAQ page doesn't answer, what if a user get people to do tasks for him/her and doesn't pay them. You said myLot is not responsible, so if a user does that, do we contact myLot admins about it... or just start a club for those who didn't get paid by the user :D :P Haha :D

Its not possible to make an income on Mylot. Even if you spent 18 hours a day on ere you wouldnt make enough to pay your bills. Mylot is a way to communicate with people, ask questions, seek advice, and offer your opinions and such. The money is just a perk. I have been a member for years, and have never made enough to pay any bills. I wouldnt suggest trying, because you may loose a lot of money. I would just be happy with the fact that you may make $10 a month, maybe less and maybe more some months. If you want to make any money you will have to find good discussions and give decent responses. One word responses dont give you anything. I believe there is a tab on Mylot that gives the payout details.

I think if you have some interesting discussions where you get a lot of responses and you comment to them, and if your responses are really good and full of substance, then 18 hours a day would be probably enough to make as much as an income. But then again burning my eyes for money isn't worth it :D

Maybe if you spent 24 hours a day doing nothing but posting new discussions and responding to other discussions you might be able to... But you wouldn't have time to sleep! And you'd get pretty burnt out pretty fast! MyLot is a fun place to discuss things that interest you, make new friends and earn a little bit of spending money at the same time, but it definitely is not a good way to earn a living!

You need to understand that mylot isn't a get rich site, as you won't get rich, and to just have mylot as your only source of income as well, would be difficult, as you wouldn't make enough to make a living. Mylot isn't meant that way, as it is a fun site and if you just relax and have fun, then you will enjoy your time here much more, and your earnings will become secondary. I will have to admit that when I first joined mylot, it was about the money, but as time has gone on, I have realized that it is much more than that, and I realized I wouldn't earn all that much anyway, so I just come in here to have fun, and enjoy myselof and I seem to do much better, than I would if I just thought about my earnings. good luck to you and happy mylotting.

I think if you spend a little time here you'll see exactly how things work. I haven't heard of anyone making a living from mylot. All the money you earn is considered to be income, so it's possible to earn money and still not make a living from something.

this had been my question as well lately because i had been out of job for more than 2 months now... i need to make extra income as soon as possible to be able to survive and i try to figure out whether mylot can become my full-time job at home... i think if i really set my mind to it, focus and concentrate, i will be able to even though it will be really really hard... i still prefer to have a real decent job compare to mylotting and i hope God will give me one soon... take care and have a nice day...

It would be extremely difficult, but after getting a decent amount of active referrals, it might work. a full-time job that you go to everyday with actual people is better to me too than making an income over the internet.
I'm sorry you've been without a job. I wish I could help more. Hope god will give you one soon, but remember you should try and do the best you can and god shall assist you in finding one.
Have a nice day

Hi Sum1passingby,
I don't think I'd give up my day job for Mylot. I'm on here a lot and I don't even always make the 10.00 payout. I can't even imagine sitting here long enough to make enough to cover my rent, food, lights etc. It's a legit site for sure but I don't think you'll find you'll make enough to consider it a main income...maybe pocket money but that is it.

Actually having a job to go to every morning is better to me than staying at home looking at your computer screen. But that's my viewpoint, and I think some people might actually like the idea of making an income on this site. It may be (very difficult) but not completely impossible. If you put the efforts nothing is impossible on this site.

That's a pretty unlikely scenario.
I've been with Mylot forjavascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$cphMainContent$lbStart','') over two years now and I have yet to earn over $25 in a given month. Although I am not saying it's impossible, in order for you to earn a full-time income on Mylot you would have to refer about 530 or so active referrals making at least $1.00 a day on Mylot. And that only equates to about $1000 a month(which for a lot of people probably isn't a livable amount.) Which, if you think about it.. isn't an IMPOSSIBLE task but would take you a heck of a lot of work to not only refer the active people, but to keep them motivated as well.
On your own, I would say a full-time income on Mylot is impossible. The most I have heard someone make in a given month on Mylot by themselves was about $100 and they were on like. 24/7.
Best of luck to you though, if you want to try!
I would say if you're fairly active each day you could probably easily peak $30 a month($1 a day.). It takes some practice though, knowing where to post, and of course. Most importantly, making quality posts.

Hahaha, I was just saying the idea is plausible, although very very difficult. I'm not intending on trying it.
I think you did the math as to how many referrals you have to get, etc. If it is to be possible it would take a year or two finding active referrals. If you get somethig like 1000 - 1500 referrals who are somewhat active, you certainly can make an income here.
Although it is very unlikely, like you said, I think the idea is interesting.

I don't think anyone is stupid enough to think they're going to make an income here just posting responses and starting discussions. I meant you're going to have referrals, lots and lots of referrals. They're the key to achieving this. And it's probably going to take heck of alot of time to find all those referrals and to keep them active.

It sure is. If someone could make that much just being here for a couple of months, then making an income is certainely achievable, though it's going to reaquire alot of effort.

Unfortunately I think the answer is too many. While I do not spend a lot of time here as I work full time, the time I spend here cannot match what I earn in regular employment on an hourly basis- if it takes a minute to read & type a decent response we only earn a cent for it. That's 60 cents an hour! Even sweatshops would pay better.

Memnon, I'm surprised at you. You have been here long enough to know there is no set rate "per post". In fact, there is no set rate for anything at all.

When you have a couple of thousand somewhat active referrals, the "rate per post" wouldn't really matter much.I know it's difficult, but if you put the efforts into it and try to get referrals for a couple of months or a year perhaps you it could work out.

The more you post the more better your income would be. Mylot does not pay depending on number of posts, it pays depending on the quality of post because sometimes you get 2 or 3 cents for a single post. So try to post good quality content. And participate in tasks in tasks section and dont forget to use mylot search engine as some times you get rewards from this worth few cents. Happy mylotting. Regards, harry.

Better quality = Better pay
I wish sometime I'd get a reward using the search engine. I did a task yesterday and got my money. It's really fun being here, there are alot of things to do, and the more you try to have fun the more you're going to earn.

all people work every day and other sometimes at night, but after finishing their work they will have some rest, so we have some time to rest and some time to spend time on television or any kind of activity so why cant we spend our time on internet so that we can earn some good enough money, thats why this my lot site is very useful to some people who can spend and write some articles.

That's exactly the point I'm trying to make. Some people here generate a decent amount of money and they only spend a few hours here having fun. What if someone considered this their full time job and actually put the efforts into it. It might work out.
You really got the point I'm trying to make. It would be hard, but nothing cannot be accomplished ;D

Do you actually believe anyone here has "ever"or can find the time to spend 8 or more hours a day here doing nothing but posting discussions, doing tasks, or using the search engine? All people whether they're Mylotters or not have lives outside of their daily jobs and that includes not spending their precious time on Mylot they just do not take the time and effort it would take to earn a full time income here knowing how really unrealistic it would be.So, even having dozens of active referrals does not insure anyone that these referrals will put in the time and effort you speak of.it would not only be "hard" for most people, but downright unrealistic and for some impossible.

Hi.
My minimum per day is at least 20 post/response. But I'm not sure if how much is the exact earning for that because it varies. The star has something to do with the earnings, as I was told by a veteran here. Also, i am using the search engine and I got rewarded a decent amount, too. . Though, i do not do tasks anymore but they are of help especially if you are running out of time.We may not earn a lot but at least, we can reach the payout in due time.

Making an income based on how much you use the search engine cannot be reliable and you cannot count completely on that.
But it's really fun getting money from this site just for having fun and expressing your opinions about certain subjects.
