Out of all of the artificial sweeteners I have used, Splenda definately is the best of them all.

No, no. That's a bad idea. Visit http://www.thetruthaboutsplenda.com for more information. That stuff is so bad for you.

Yes I use splenda. It is made from the sugar cane plant. it is a lot easier to use then most other sweeteners and I like the taste a lot better.

I don't agree with the Splenda being bad for you, it is made from sugar which is a natural product. Using it for baking can be tricky. My husband is a diabetic and I have practiced making him desserts because he loves sweets. Pies turn out the best with Splenda. You really can't tell they aren't made with sugar. Cookies are great too. But cakes on the other hand do not do as well. It seems they are dry and dense. A moist cake like banana nut bread is great. There is a Splenda blend for baking that does great but it does have some sugar, just not as much as regular sugar. Sometime if you want to exchange recipies send me an email at janethigdon@charter.net.

Splenda is probably one of the worst poisons that you could put into your body. Stop using it immediately because it is completely unsafe. Read this website link for details: http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/nutraswt.html

I use aspterame. I can't use Splenda because it gives me migraines. Sacchrine and I don't get a long at all, intestinal problems with it for me. So that leaves me with aspterame and even then I can only use some brands of it. Some of the generics give me migraines. I don't like using sugar too much so that doesn't leave me much choice. I just have to be careful.

I have never heard of Splenda. I use Equal for coffee only every morning but I have heard that one of the ingredients is aspartame which is not good - but then if I don't use it and normal sugar is more fattening then what other safe sugar substitutes are there? Do you know?

Yes, I use Sweet & Low or the cheap version of it. I have used sweeteners since I was 16 and especially now that I am diabetic.
I once in awhile use Equal if I am out.
I don't worry about health risks, almost everything we eat these days causes something.

All the more reason to eat healthy. Sure, it's more expensive but a trip to the doctor costs way more.
Stay off artificial sweeteners and anything that's "partially hydrogenated" as well as artificial sweeteners like Splenda. There's a cure for diabetes, check out Kevin Trudeau's book. Good luck to you.

We do not use artificial sweeters at all. We read all labels. WE dont use MSG either. It seems that most commercial foods have either artificial additives or MSG which is an artificial additive as far as I am concerned

I tried Splenda but did not like the taste. I had tried things with the other sweeteners but they had a metallic taste. I prefer using sugar, honey, or brown sugar in my baking and I drink my coffee and tea straight. I would like to try Stevia but here in Canada it is classified as a supplement or food additive not as a sweetener.

I use SPlenda, then Equal. I have been looking for Stivia - I hear that one is very good.

I use Splenda because I have diabetes. I have not baked with it, however. From what I've heard, it's just like sugar. I know the taste is wonderful, to me. But, then, I don't eat a lot of sweet things. So, it may taste really good to me because I don't have the comparison to real sugar that a lot of people do.

Used sweet n low in my iced tea. But never anything but sugar for baking. I even stopped using sweet n low once I found out it was making my mother sick. Aspartame poisoning.

I never use them; I like sugar too much, in fact Too Much is the truth; I should be careful. But sometimes I use honey in both tea and coffee; and it tastes beautiful!

Only in things that are "presweetened" like soft drinks. Corn syrup, especially high fructose corn syrup, is bad for you and aspartame is just as bad if not worse. So unless it is sweetened with regular sugar (sucrose) we don't use it unless it has Splenda. For sweetening coffee, tea, etc. at home we either use cane sugar or stevia - stevia is better for you than all the rest but in the US it is only available as a "food additive" and you have to add it yourself.

I will not use artificial sweeteners. They have an additive which has been linked with cancers. Certain people are susceptible others maybe not. I would rather have a natural sweetener..called sugar. Not something apparently made from sugar. It seems totally illogical to gave something made from sugar. Unless you really love chemicals in your food.

I heard those artifical sweeteners arent good on the body. The chemical used in them has some kind of harm. If you research on it you'll find lots of info about it. real sugar is good (not the over processed white sugar) but natural cane sugar. Take care.
