Oh my..what does that mean. Everyone in the house has had their signs changed..lol..and none if us are happy about it. I think the sign Leo better fits my b/f than his original Virgo and he says I am definitley the smake handeler My daighters..well..I'm thinking my original cancer really did fit but my other...well..I don't know..she is Libra but with a mix..anyway are you ok with the way your sign has changed? Has it changed for you where you are or has it always been with the 13th sign?

Mine has changed and there's NO WAY I'm a Pisces! I'm Aries, through and through. Always have been, always will be, no matter what the powers that be say I am. My oldest son was born a Cancer and he fits it to a 'T'. Now, they're saying he's a Gemini. Nope. No way. My youngest son was born an Aquarian. Now, if you know anything about Aquarians, you know how peculiar they are. Supposedly, he's now a Capricorn. No way for him, either. Aquarian thru and thru. My husband is also now a Capricorn, although he was an Aquarian since birth. His personality fits the Aquarian profile, although there is a bit of Capricorn trait in him. I wonder how long this new zodiac is going to fly before it's run out of town on a rail after being tarred and feathered.

I know!! I wonder if they are going to have to shift traits to fit the new sign locations. I can't find traits on my new sign yet. I looked it up and found it but at this point they are only describing the constellation and the greek story about the sign. I am thinking with all the resistance..they may just stick to the normal one. Thanks for the response.

Dear friend, Even though I felt bit confused while I read this matter. But here in South India we have our way of find our sign and also predictions. It is called as "Jyothisum". In this it is connected to Nava Graha (9 planets) and the person who do this does it with shells of particular size. Finds what the present sign and its defect and merits.

I am not dependent with my zodiac sign that is why it won't affect alot of me. When I saw it last night from a local television network I am not affected. What makes me amazed is the earth movement. Why it happened? It's alot of speculations come into my mind. I am concerned with the future of the earth not my own. Before I am cancer and now it change to Gemini. No worries for me neither I like it or not. No concerned. Hope you understand my opinion. That's only for me my friend.

yes mate. the movement of the earth concerned to me not my zodiac sign because most of the time it's not true but if we talk about earth movement it will affect all people not individually. Right?

I think it does affect all people. The thing is that if you can bring it to an individual basis...there is more result. This zodiac change might just do that..I mean..it does mean a shifting of stars right? Maybe it can open an eye or two towards the earth that is changing beneath our feet..I'm glad that you have partcipated and brought that to light.

Who does this astronomer think he is anyway? Look how long the astrological signs have been in existance just the way they are? I grew up being a Scorpio(Nov. 6) and why would I want to change that now? Some many people's paths in life would totally go south if they were to revert back to a totally different sign. THis is perposterous and I for one am going by the old signs. This is like going back in time and changing it. It's weird.

Ya, the professor came up with this new theory that astrology was all wrong. And yet it has been beeing done just this way for many, many, many years. I think if something had been done wrong someone else would have said something before this. This professor just came up with an interesting theory and the media ran with it. I like being a Scorp and I could never see changing. It fits me so closely. To be a Libra would change everything. Too weird!

It is weird! I have heard that it is a changes and then that it isn't a change but on one link I read..they said a professor added a new sign. I dunno...it would be very odd to be something besides a sag. I think we will be going by the original too...lol.

Relax everyone it was an erroneous tabloid report. ABC news checked into the idea and found out the only way to change the Zodiac is to use the ancient Babylonian tools, methods and algorithms. No one has done that!

Apparently its all to do with the Babylonians who started out with 13 signs, but then changed to the 12 that we are familiar with. The "new" sign has always been there, it just been ignored for the last 4000 odd years! Personally, I'm still as crabby as I ever was!

Mine changed and it makes no sense to me. I went from being a Gemini to something else. My husband is now a Gemini and he was Cancer I believe. It seems crazy to me that there is a new sign. Good thing that I do not truly believe in it.

I don't know. I just heard a little snippit on the news a few nights ago. They said later on that it really only effects people in the Southern Hemisphere, not us so much. I'm Aquarius by way of Feb. 1. So did I change? Chinese New Year is Feb 3rd this year. Near miss on that. I think my birthday on the New Year would have been cool. I'm just before Groundhog day, St. Bridgit or Goddess Bridgitta Day, and I need to find out when Candlemas is again. So much goes on in February, Valinetine's Day and President's Day, too. Is there a place I can go see this new Zodiack to check out where I stand?

We've tilted more recently and that allegedly exposes the night sky in some areas to another constellation that was not seen previously during that time of year. Some years there are 12 moons and some, 13. So when we were moon-based for time, they had to come up with something for the 13th moon, but we don't have a moonbased calendar.

I just heard about this today. I really don't know why the whole zodiac needs to change and I really don't think anyone should worry about it. I'm still going to stick with the original zodiac that says I'm a Virgo. Still I guess I'll check it out and see what the difference is for my sign.

Hi Jen! I just responded to another discussion about this absolute nonsense! I am supposedly now a Virgo! I am nothing like a Virgo and have spent more than half a century as a Libra, which sign makes more sense and I have a better fit with! I am not about to change my sign not after all these years! And if you look at the stupid dates, Scorpio had "5 DAYS"! That is stupid, bizarre and beyond comprehention, although my bf would make perfect Scorpio!lol But, I digress, nobody else I know will even think about acknowledging this ridiculousness! I am NOT changing my sign, nor are anyone else that I know! Who the hell though this stupid sh!t up in the first place?

Does this change mean that all my co-workers', friends', and family members' characteristics are suddenly changing along with their sign? Will they now be completely different people than those I knew for the past 30+ years? ETA: And of course you're going to find some people of the same sign with similar characteristics. It's the nature of having billions of people on earth and only 12 signs. But how many other people are ALSO that sign but do NOT fit those characteristics? It's only those who do fit that catch your attention. -------------------------------------------------- Guy walks into a bar, sits down next to a young lady and asks, "Hey, baby, what's your sign?" She answers, "So you think there are only 12 different kinds of people in the world, and that my personality and future depends on what month I was born? How stupid can you be?" He says, "Oh, Sagittarius."

So glad that you have stopped in! There are those people that are apparently "born into a house"..that gives them the characteristics of another sign..they are born into that sign's house. Now take into account that I am by no means an expert so there may be that well studied member that may jump in on me here..and I hope they do just for the fact of knowing how it all works...but anyway...it's what I read before and apparently that gives them the other signs traits...maybe alot..maybe subtle. This new thing actually takes them into that house and gives them that sign. The funny thing is that I am a Sag and that might be exactly how I responded..just for meaness though...I might secretly think something else..who does he think he is trying to read me..LOL.

Gee, I think it proves what I have thought all along, that the whole astrology think is a bunch of bunk. Now, suddenly everything that they've ever claimed about it is suddenly invalid. People have been under one sign their whole lives and now they're something else. How does that make any logical sense and how can anyone believe in it at all? Everything you've ever believed about your sign and how it applies to you is now meaningless. I never really believed in it but now I'm entirely convinced it's just total nonsense.

Thanks for the input millertime! There are people that take it very seriously though. I think there are some places that even base their marriages on it. I read somewhere a while back that there was a 13th sign, but I never really thought anymore about it. I think it's been around for longer than we've known and now the media is having a hayday Thanks again and take care.

I found this to be very interesting. LOL it seems to be some kind of propaganda though. The astrological signs don't need to be updated. These new dates are ridiculous! The original are the only ones I will follow because they are extremely accurate when combined with the animal year you were born under. I have always been able to identify people with their sign correctly. This new method is ridiculously out of touch with reality and doesn't add up. I am and will always be a Gemini! The thought that I would some how be the bull makes me laugh. Thanks for the laugh.

It is amazing how you can sometimes tell a person's sign by their traits. I am thinking that there is going to have to be a rewrite of traits as well if they expect people to just go along with the 13th sign. Thanks for responding.
