From emailing to working, chatting, searching, shopping etc.... how much time do you spend online each day? Remember a decade ago when you could live without the internet? Now we just use the net like it is a necessity, like eating and sleeping.

Well, you have a candid way of pulling it all into proper perspective! I work online and I only discovered that I could when I had to start taking care of my son who was in an accident. It's a great world here really! I spend a large amount of time on line in between taking care of him!

I am online everyday. When I arrive at work, I immediately go online. I check my email, login my skype and ym, check mylot, browse and surf for stuff I need at work and personally. When I get home, I turn on my laptop and go online again. I'll check my facebook, browse and surf, download stuff. Most of the time, I leave my laptop on when I'm asleep. This is because the Internet connection is faster at midnight. During the weekend, I turn on my laptop (If I didn't leave it on) and play/watch the stuff that I downloaded. Sometimes I also work in mylot. Most of the things I do know are related to the Internet. You're right, there was a time when life was bearable without the Internet, but that time, I was still a kid then, so I played outside more than spend time inside the house, so i'd probably not notice the computer at atll

Personally for me, it depends on the amount of time I have Free to be online. During the work week sometimes that can be very little. And then on my days off depending on what is going on, it can either be just a short time or a lot. All I know is it really depends on the type of mood I am in and what else is going on in my life around me as well. I know that it can be easy to forget to do other things you need to do like eat and sleep if you spend a lot of time online, so the Best thing I can always suggest if you spend a lot of time online is balance and remembering to eat.

I do spend a lot of time online. Perhaps more than I really should. But, as a student, sometimes it can be difficult to avoid using the internet. At least, this is what I have personally found. The internet is very useful tool, or it can be, at least. Many might certainly agree with this.

Most of my waking moments, I'm online. My work involves being online so that basically adds most of my online time. After work, I still go online to check personal stuff - email, FB, few online gigs, read blogs, etc. I try to strike a balance by being offline when I'm on vacation (as long as it's not needed) or on weekends when I leave the house and my internet connection to do other stuff.

I would say, about 8 to 10 hours a day, most of it at my work. I am working for a company in the market research sector, and so I have to spend a lot of time online doing market research work. Internet, as we know, has become the information highway for many things. After getting back home in the evening, I spend a couple of hours surfing on myLot, and staying active in the myLot community.

I probably spend 2-3 hours a day online. Most of that time is in increments though. I'm hoping to one day spend many more hours online when and if I ever find a full time job that I can do from home online.

During weekdays I spend around 2 hours in the internet but on weekends I spend almost the whole day. It's not really a necessity because it depends on what purpose does the internet served you. For example, if you are doing online jobs then it really becomes a necessity. But if you are only using it for chatting or shopping you can always call your friends and go to mall and spend time with them. Rather than doing it virtually.

I agree as a kid we never had a computer or cable for that matter. We had a phone that was hooked to the wall and could only call local no call waiting (cheaper) got 3 tv channels pbs, moms soaps, and news guess what we watched lol. As a young adult I got my first cell, a nokia brick that only worked in my service area there were no extra charges or roaming, my phone just ceased to work. Until I was grown did I finally see the benifits of a computer, about the same time the internet came about lol. till then there was only so many oregon trail game I could play. Now Most of my friends and family I only talk to online. I guess cause I don't like them that much anyway and only time I chat with them is when THEY catch me on but if no computer I would never call. I spend at least 10 hours a day chatting searching making money I love it everything I need to know at my fingertips!
