Sure a lot of people really are dishonest, but is it so hard to believe that there are people out there that are actually honest, and its so annoying when someone automatically assumes your ling when your not I'm not perfect but I've never been a liar so when or if someone accuses me of ling I get angry coz I'm not that kinda person.
Have you ever been falsely accused of lining?

When i was a teenager, girls used to smoke A Lot in the toilets at school. To the point where even if you just walked past the toilets you'd end up stinking of cigs for the entire day.
My brother always loved trying to get me in trouble so he used to tell my strict parents I'd been smoking at school when I hadnt.
My mum used to smell it in my clothes and I used to get harsh punishments, made worse by my protesting my innocence. In the end I'd tip drinks away so I'd have an empty bladder all day. Even if I was so desparate that I wss in pain I'd not go. I was late to lessons because I often walked on the outside of the building to avoid walking past the smell. This made my awful school life unbearable. I often think that I must have been a very strong person to have gotten through it with no one to talk to. I hope nobody has to go through anything like it.

Thats so sad about your brother and you.
I am a parent and I feel that my parents were not perfect parents. Now with my children I look back to see what my parents have had done me wrong and I try not to repeat that mistake.
I am telling you this because I see that your parents are not doing what i consider as correct. But as my parents has done as to your parents, they have somehow raised a wonderfully strong child like you... and me

Greetings!
Yes. I have been accused before that I'm lying though I'm not.My friends thought that I'm against them and that I;m the one who betrays them by telling to others their secrets. I haven't done anything that would make them mad. The happenings was just coincidence that's why they thought that I was only lying. But after a few days, it was all fixed. They know the truth so they said sorry to me. Whenever we're the liars in the eyes of others, truth will always prevail that's why I don't worry to much when others sees me as a liar. :)

Hi dear,
Yes, even happened to me also for several times. Some times I had to say lies to prove that I was genuine and correct. I had and earlier discussion similar that whether you had any occasion to say lies to prove that you are true.
Thank-s

I'm sure many people have experienced that
I too have been accused of lying when I am not
and been accused of stealing when it was other people who did
when all these accusations are proven wrong, I never got an apology
not a single one

I just got accused of lying again from review stream. They banned me from the site and won't give me a specific reason but I assume they are accusing me of copying material. I do not copy anything, everything is my own material that I write myself.
Anyway, review stream has banned me and accused me of misconduct when I haven't done anything wrong at all. I really don't want anything to do with them if they are going to be like that anyway.

Oh sure. We all have. I just laugh though. Normally the people who accuse others of lying all the time, are themselves liars.
The better question is, have we assumed that others were lying, when they were not? Unfortunately yes. So I try not to be something I hate, and try to give people the benefit of the doubt. I'd rather falsely believe someone to be telling the truth, when they were lying, than assume they were lying when they were telling the truth.

Yes, now a days it seems like people will believe a lie quicker than the truth. I have to blame it on the way society has become.
When I was younger I gave people respect and the benefit of the doubt right off but now they have to earn it because of so many liars and con men.
Even the police are corrupt. I don't even try to get help from them now because all they want to do is persecute people. I have often told the truth just to be called a liar and made to feel real bad when I was truly in the right.

I think this is because there are people who have trust issues. There are people who dislike and distrust humanity, so it is indeed so frustrating when you become the victim of their ill thoughts. I had been accused of lying and I hated it. It is actually the paranoid mind of the thinker that makes him accuse others of doing they didn't do. And I think that is a big,big sin.

I know what you mean Apples99. I really makes me angry when I'm telling the truth and people try to make it look like I'm lying. I hate liars and that includes me. So I do my best not to do lie. Sometimes it seems like my sister gets me confused with my brother who lies sometimes. I also remember an incident in Detroit where the people accused me of lying when I wasn't. It's maddening!

I don't really think that it is that easy to tell if a person is telling the truth or lieing. Some people can be so hard to read. Some people can sound so believable even though they are lieing. It all comes down to what we think of the person and whether we believe they would tell us the truth. I hate lies, i ahve caught out so many people and there is just no need to do it. Some people tell so many lies they could eventually believe that what they are saying as actually true when it isn't. I don't like to be accused of lieing and would strongly defend myself if somebody did accuse me of lieing. To prove somebody wrong that calls you a liar shows what type of a person they really are.

When I hear a lie, I am always reminded of the little boy who cried "wolf!" When you are not lying and you really want people to believe you they won't, because he lied one to many times. I keep telling my daughter do not ever lie..

I am not a social person and kept to myself most times and let other people do the talking. So that simplifies my life and have been accused of lying only once so far.
This person accused me of talking about her behind her back. Although I felt anger because of the false accusation, she was my aunt (paternal side) so I kept cool. I did tell her that I did not do it and that my mother raised me to not gossip. After she insisted, I kept quiet and managed to leave without any drama.
At that time I very proud of how my mother had raised me. My mother had made me find better things to do than idle talk about an unworthy person.
How highly have she thought that I would waste precious time talking about her is beyond me except when I thought about this incident again.

It does happen when I have tried my best on something but the result came out not to be so good as what it should be, and then others may accuse me that I should have done it much better and maybe I was not taking it seriously. The feeling misunderstood by others is really very annoying, for most time you can not prove yourself anyway.

yes there were times when i was thought to be a liar when all the while i am lying.
I really get angry when they tell me i am lying when actually i am not. In my frustration to prove that i am not lying i would say " i swear to God i'm not lying" They would stop telling me so, but nonetheless the damage is done, they have made me angry already.

I was accused of plagiarism. After 7 months I posted hundreds of poems, a portal for literature, we stole someone accused me of a text that would belong to themselves and brings dozens of people who read my poems. Of course I turned to law and the truth came out! ...

I think that happened to me a lot when I was still in high school, at my young age I wasn't allowed to defend myself especially with my brother accusing me of things, like he accused me always of his lost things, he was really hard on me before and I felt like I lost my self-esteem but its good that with the help of my friends I was able to cope up with the stress that it brings me, there came a point when he went to my school and pointed at me with his finger accusing me of stealing something from him that really was the turning point for me where I told our parents about it and it turned out that he was the one who lost that and he was just looking for someone to blame so that our parents will not scold him, he is really one hell of a guy, my brother!
