I am looking and still searching for an application which I can use in my day to day activity. I am responsible in storing contact numbers of our clients. But I do it manually. Do you know any application where I could use in storing contact numbers?

There are actually two programs that you could use for this task. I recommend Microsoft EXCEL or Microsoft ACCESS. EXCEL is a spreadsheet. ACCESS is a database. You can very easily create a file to store your contact information for your clients in either of these programs. However, you may want to try ACCESS first, because although it has been a couple of years since I tried to use it, I believe there is a way you can create mailing lists with it, and merge the names and addresses with form letters you create in Microsoft WORD, which is a word processor. This is a very useful and time saving tool. You can get all three of these programs in the Microsoft Office package...

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. I can probably come up with something for you if you still need me to, but you will have to have the program on your computer in order to use the files I send you. You would have to purchase the program, or you may be able to find a free version online that you can use. Let me know if you want me to help you, and we can come up with something...

Personally, I would use a rolodex, because they are easily accessible. If the computer isn't easily accessible, the rolodex is...if you lose your phone, the rolodex is still on your desk. All those electronic gadgets are well and good, but often the old fashioned way is the best...they are right at your finger tips...and everyone can have access to the numbers if need be.

I got in early on subscribing to a web-based relational database application called TrackVia, so I get it at a very reduced price that is locked in for life, and I don't even know what people have to pay if they sign up now, but I absolutely love TrackVia and use it everywhere every day. I need its functionality because I travel a lot and need to be able to access my data from any computer, and even from my smartphone.
Because it is web-based, there is no danger of losing any of the data and it is never unavailable. It can store numbers, text, and even use formulas to calculate across records.

haha =D BUy an iphone, after which download itunes into your computer. With that, connect your iphone to itunes via your com, and u will be able to back up everything into your com, without the hassle of writing manually.. lol =D U can try other smartphones as well, i believe they should have the same function too.. lol =D IF not, next best thing would be memorizing everything.. haha =D

My daughters stored all contact numbers on the cell. When the units failed, the numbers were gone.
There's nothing like the manual way.

Good day syoti...
If you are going to store such data in your computer, the software that you could use may be microsoft access, microsoft excel, microsoft outlook, or the notepad.
You can always ask for a programmer to create such program for you. I remember making one when i used to go to college. I just lost the source code...

Hello syoti,
I assume you want a software on your cell phone for storing contact numbers. Am i right? There are many out there, if you are using symbian or an android mobile. You can find search for tag 'contacts manager' or 'call manager' to find what you are looking for. All the best.

A great program to do that may be Outlook. The contacts section is very complete and functional. It lets you save the name, phones, addresses, photos, mail addresses, and many other personal data you want. It's very good once you got it.
Excel and Access are more "manual" alternatives to build up your own database.

I use the Microsoft Excel mostly in my daily work,as i also need to store some of our clients contact information. I like to use it,because it is very strong in compliing datas and statistics.
so i recommend you to make full use of it too,and another good idea if you don't have much time in computer at the table is to consider buying a PDA to help,we can see types of PDA in the store, they all have the functions as you required. maybe you can have a think. thanks.
