Yes i put a lot of photo on face book for my friends to see. my wedding picture and other picture as well the only thing that i don't put on face book is my address and phone number.and all my friend add picture's every day. It's not safe to put your address and phone number their.but i think picture's is ok .That's why they have privacy settings so that you can manage what you want people to see.

I agree with you my friend.
basically nothing we do online is safe but we as the individual we must protect our self. we hold the key to show people what we want them to see so we have to becaful.
If i sign in with my mobile an i view a friend page you call a friend their number just come up an when you view their page with a computer, you don't see their number.
ye sits best to avoid putting up our number and address they as well.

I agree with you tash, we should not put our address and phone number in facebook....i you have attached like what ever notifications are comments are comings that will notify your phone... thats facebook connected to your mobile ...then automatically your number will add up in your profile... so its better to avoid doing this....

I post a lot of photos on my Facebook. I guess the safety is questionable with anything that you do online. I try to be as safe as possible though. I only allow my friends to see my photos. So only those who I trust and have added to my list can see them.

yeah, jennlk if we have accepted only our friends and try to have settings like only they can see it ,then its so safe and we can put our pictures.... we cannot assure for security because we first give prefernce to our friends and must be careful in adding persons in our friend list....

I only one photo of myself and the rest is just picture. Some of them is tagged photo from my friends.
Facebook have more secure now in the security issue about personal information and surely you can setting your profile as private, and only you and your friend can see it.

Hmm, I do upload some personal photos in to Facebook... I do upload some group photos and tag my friends in it. I don't think anyone would want a picture of me [heh heh] and there are far more beautiful people/photo so I don't think I'm in the danger zone or anything. My friends would tag me in their group photos... well, my sister is like you too! She set all her photos to private and untags all the tags that her friends tagged her in. She uploads a picture of a plate of dish or something as her profile picture. Haha. I didn't worry much about the photo part. Besides, I set my profile to friends only so, strangers wouldn't see anything else but my profile picture. :) It's not much of a danger ... I guess.
By right, it's not safe to upload photos to the net. But I guess it wouldn't harm much by uploading 1 or 2 photos. :)

hi,
If you don't have any personal information then it is not a problem at all... i think you handle the social networking sites carefully... its better to do that always... but however our friends know that in what name we are and able to find us....we can put general pictures any scarps and things like that instead of our own personal pictures....

I have quite a few of my photos on FB. I think that I have enough people that watch out for me that i am not too worried about it. My kids also have to be careful not to list personal info on theirs so that they are not targeted. So if the info and pics do not line up then they are ok.

well lisa,
we can put photos if only our friends can watch that...for security in social networking site we cannot do anything even if you have good privacy settings ... hackers are more smarter than us ... teach your kids also how efficiently they can browse and use facebook....

Hello lollypopppp!
Can you explain the reason you are afraid? Or what kinda photos are you talking about?
I do upload pictures in my Facebook, but only my friends can see them, and I don't add strangers as friends, but anyway I see nothing wrong with uploading pics. I think a dangerous thing would be to upload my phone, address and other personal information!
Well, I hope you have a nice day!
Libna.

hi,
i mean the personal pictures means your picture , which can be in solo or in groups
i do afraid for uploading pictures because of facebook security features ,any one can morph your photos and involve in any criminal activities... facebook has large database so they store all datas in five servers interlinked .. whats happening is even if you delete your pictures ... after months also it resides there and it will be seen from your friends account...this information i got to know from one mam...i do't know how much its true?

Hi there lollypopppp!!!
As much as possible I am putting that much picture in my facebook profile. It is becoz some of my classmates might do some things like playing a trick on my pictures. It is really hard to put some pics when you know that your classmates are photoshop literate. They might play with your photos and sometimes edit it to make it funny and I really hate it.
I also think that it is not safe coz someone might still this photos and use it in scams or crimes.Well why I have this worries I also remember that we can make our photos in facebook private, but I don't still think that this is an enough security feature.

I put my photos up I am not worried about it at all. It doesnt bother me or concern me. I do only allow my friends to see the pictures. The funny thing is that I am more concerned with what I write and people seeing that than strangers seeing my pictures.

i have posted a lot of my photos in facebook. i do believe it's okay to post personal photos. photos are meant to capture the memories, and it would be great if you have people and friends to share it with. but of course, you should be aware that a lot of people are gonna see it so you might as well post photos that well represents yourself and the moment. and since different people have different opinions and point of view, you also have to be prepared for comments and criticisms.

Yes I do, there are my personal photos on FB. I do not see any problem with that. I enjoy comments from my friends on my photos so FB is the best place for me to place snaps. I do not put anything and everything there.
Thank you for sharing.

I put my personal photos on facebook, but not too many and I think carefully before putting any photo on any social website, but I don't see how a simple photo can cause harm to someone unless it shows that person in a compromising position, but I'm sure most people are smart enough not to load such pictures in their profiles.

Yes, but I rarely post my photos because I believe that I don't have the need to flaunt my photos online. I just save my photos on my computer or on my external hard drive.
Also, I can't post photos on FB anymore because I just deactivated my account.
