This woman needs to get a LIFE!
I mean, I like Thin Mint cookies too, but I'm not going to HURT anyone over a box!
Honestly, some people just shouldn't be allowed out in public...

What do you think? I don't think this woman DESERVES a box of Girl Scout cookies!
"Bad girl! No cookie for you!"

I don't really think the violence was over the cookies per se. It says they argued and sometimes things are said in arguments that just set a person off. The cookies were just the starting point. I would love to know what all was said in that argument.

Are you sure it was just pee???
After looking at her picture you have to do some serious wondering...and the questions are those that I don't think I want the answers to.

Good question, Lover! I don't wanna know either! I've seen faces like hers before, on Maury Povich, Jerry Springer & Steve Wilkos, getting all upset because someone dared to question their behavior! You know, like, "Get cho (bleeping) finguh outta MY face, b----h!" THAT kind of attitude...

I agree - but consider what I responded to you earlier as a small bit of an explanation - I'd guess this woman felt betrayed by her victim and lacked the normal social restraints that are supposed to keep such behavior from happening.
A female chimp would've done the same thing - I am NOT calling her a chimp - but as the two closely related primates there are some times we can consider related behaviors...
(can you tell I'm reading a book about genetics and heredity and behaviors?)

I'm sure I could come up with a biological/sociological reason for her behavior if I worked on it, not an excuse, but an explanation, if I wanted to think on it more... instead, I just want to kick her down a few flights of stairs, people like her shouldn't be allowed to reproduce!

Somehow this does not really surprise me. I mean, on Black Friday, there have been causalities. I like cookies, but I would not attempt to assault someone over them. Granted, there are people out there in this world that are a bit more twisted and out there than I ever will be. Which is a small comfort for me, I guess, you could say something like that.
Just wow, that was insane. But not totally unexpected, which really when you think about it is a sad commentary on the state of the world in general. Still quite the intriguing story and quite insane as well. Physical violence over a box of cookies. I won't say that I could not think of a worse thing, because if given the time, I just might be able to and I'm certain a possible situation might come up before long.

people kill people for less sometimes, but its not like she wasn't pulled off the woman TWICE!
Now, I do wonder why there was a board lying about for her to pick up, at least she wasn't stabbing her, I guess we can just be glad it wasn't worse!

Looking at her picture, the woman looks none too bright.

I understand that the woman who was charged for assault may have just wanted her roommate to tell her first that she would be getting the cookies before taking it. It's more of "you took what was mine without telling me" thing. Well, at least in my opinion. But I would never hurt anyone over a box of cookies. And if in case that happened to me, I would not take the money either. I would just make sure that whatever stuff I have that I don't want to be touched be tucked away somewhere this roommate or her kids may find. I am not the confrontational type. It's either that or I move if I can afford it.

but the woman was asleep, and the children were the sleeping woman's (the one who did the assault) not the woman who took the cookie's children.
I'm going to guess that sleeping woman was scary enough to wake up, that her hungry children wouldn't wake her up...
I'm going to guess it was probably past time for her to be charged with some kind of abuse if her children were that afraid of her!

Thin Mints were our family's personal favorite, tho my sister liked the peanut butter ones - anything with peanut butter was her favorite ones...
Pretty much, on a good year, the Thin Mints are the only ones I can eat, on a bad year I can't even eat them!

I don't know what to say.
I don't buy Girl Scout cookies for two reasons:
they're over-priced and under-satisfying.
The accompanying photo with the story shows a woman who obviously thinks the world revolves around her.

AMEN! That's the face of a person who should NOT be allowed in PUBLIC!
I buy a box or two, because my sister used to be a Girl Scout... but because I'm trying to lose weight, I don't buy as much as I used to. And some years even the Thin Mints aren't "Elic safe" meaning they don't have corn starch in them (they are safe this year, in this area anyway.)

I quit buying GS cookies after being a GS leader for a year. Seeing the way the organization works from the inside convinced me to stop supporting it.

It did sound like an... interesting... household...
I never did figure out who's husband the "husband" was, but I did figure out that the kids were the crazy woman's - so I'm guessing that she already had a reputation for not waking up in the best of moods, because her hungry kids didn't want to wake her up and neither did the other woman.

oh good grief. this woman obviously has a mental disorder as no one does that kind of thing over just cookies. id be willing to think she just wanted a fight over something. shes probably angry over other things done by the other woman or else maybe the other woman said something that set off her mental thinking.

Those girl scout cookies can cause odd behavior...there was a guy at work approaching me in a kind of shady way asking me " Are those Samoas?" Staring at the box with a certain gleam that made me feel as though I was in danger. He bought them from me in an underground manner that made me feel like I could have made a few bucks off of him. I don't know that it would have resorted to violence though.

What is wrong with this picture, and what is wrong with this woman. I see a lot of things wrong. I see that her kids were up and had not been fed. I see that she over reacted to her cookies being eaten. They are still on sale for pete's sake. The injured woman offered to pay enough to buy almost three boxes of thin mints, or at least two.

This is the sort of person that anything could set them off, so as amusing as it may be to some, it is sad and scary at the same time!
This person needs anger management counseling!

You get that right! That woman needs a life! I love Girl Scout cookies but I would never flip out over a box of Thin Mints! Some people do such stupid things for stupid things! Poeple sure aren't thinking when they do stupid things! Now this woman will be spending some time in jail for her non-thinking!

She must REALLY like thin mints! Sometimes cravings can be bad, but that is taking it a little too far. I'll bet the cops that arrested her thought it was funny.
