Hi ifa!
Good post!
They are surely trying to express their frustration . Knowing fully well that traffic jam may be due to some definite reason(s). Those who blow the horn perhaps do so to disturb others too. They are impatient and should not be on the roads.

It was pleasant surprise for me to as you addressed me by first name ....... Lol!
How come you know my real name?
Yeah, you are right, while driving on the roads we should have more patience than the usual and we should not lose our calm.
Nice to meet you!

roads are the perfect place to test your insanity and your calm. you can see their true color if u take someone to pass this test

I thinks so, they are expressing their frustrations by blowing their horns. They don't care that others are also frustrated and the horns is even an additional factor in the stress and frustrations. They should know that all of the cars there are in the same situation as him and that other cars in front of him can't do anything for there are also cars in front of them. If only those blowing their horns could have their cars fly so they won't be giving stress to other..sigh*

Hi ifa ,
I dont have a car just because of this reason - Traffic Jam
For those who blow the horns even in a traffic jam... I think there are two different reasons - either they have nothing else to do - I mean they do not have the audio in the car or they do not have an A/C so they are just thinking that ok, I am not driving so let me blow the horn and check if that works okay
And the second category is of those who think they will be heard and someone would provide them with an alternate route

Hi Sid,,,
that is really really a good answer
but who knows that they are 'really' thinking this way : either they have nothing else to do - I mean they do not have the audio in the car or they do not have an A/C so they are just thinking that ok, I am not driving so let me blow the horn and check if that works okay
i guess you have to have a bike Sid, it heps you to mobile without being trapped in traffic jam and using petrol

What a great decision not to have a car, mister! You save a lot on your time waiting in the traffic jam...I think I will revert to your alternatives (not having car) after this...Kudos for you, mister!

I also blow horn during the traffic jam to annoy the drivers in front of me And I can't wait I blow the horn due to my impatience. But I think it is not a good thing during traffic jam one should not blow horn.

I have often wondered this myself. It obviously is not going to do any good to sit there honking the horn. It surely isn't going to get the traffic moving. All it is really going to do is make the people around you angry...

hi ifa well in my opinion seeing that they must know that blowing
their horn will not change a darned thing they blow their horns
because they are total jerks.Normal people will wait the traffic
jam out and proceed without acting like nincompoops while jerks
will be well, jerks.

pepepepe..... popopopo.....pippippip... oh no...
I have also my destination man.... why you are blowing your horn behind me? Do you think that i am not to move anymore.... if you want to overtake and think can drive... then go... i am not the barrier.... but dont popo...
Several times i have said all these.... Take care.

Couldn't agree more with you mister...Sometimes it is very irritating hearing those honking sound...They think we can move, and we did not want to, but the actual case is vice versa...If they think they can move, then move! There is no use staying behind me, honking me to move when I cannot...

road rage is the most strange thing to me.
I'm a very simple person. If I can't do anything about what is going on... why get angry?
If I can, I still have no need to get angry. I should just do whatever it is that I can do.
So the highway is a parking lot. Can I make any of those cars move? No? Then what value is there in getting angry? Will that change anything?
So... I don't get angry. Why others do is beyond me.

Some people seem to become quite agitated in traffic jams. they can lose their patience very quickly. Perhaps they are just too impatient and anxious to get to their destinations. they might think that blowing their horn will get the traffic moving faster, but it wont make a difference if they do this or not. the traffic will move when it is able to. These hornblowers are just stressing themselves out more.

In my opinion, it is just simple stupidity that makes people blow their horn in traffic jam.
Beep beep..bop bop..bupbup,,peeet ....do they really think that the road will suddenly becomes clear just because of the beepings??? All they get will be more frustrations and annoying other road users.
No one just hangs around on the road, everyone has a destination to go to, and they'd like to get there as quickly as possible too.

I think that they just wanted to be in the front of the other. People have issues on being the first one to get there, the first one to have that and all that. I think if we just handle things well, we will have less frustrations. I think that people put themselves under pressure. Things will be light and easy if we just let them. If we can't handle things, might as well not handle it at all. We can't do everything. We just have to accept that.

yes it is very disconcerning when people do that, I always think they are blowing their horn at me, some people blow their horn for no reason, they have no patience at all...road rage even is out of control.

I think they are trying to vent their frustrations and annoy the drivers in front of them. But I find this behaviour kind of rude.

Hi,
I do see some people still blowing their car horn despite the traffic
is jammed.there is no point to get frustrated while encountering traffic
jam. Just need to be patient and move your car bit by bit.
The most important is to drive at the right pace. Be a good driver.

I believe one of the answers lies on your question itself...Some people do weird things when they are stressed out, and that make things worse when other people get into the same situation because of their outrage...I believe another reason for this is that they think the situation is caused by the driver in front of them, and for that reason they blew their horn so that the driver moves out of the way and snap, problem solved! (For many reason it is not the case at all! )

Given the fact that we cant really do anything about it, even if we honk the whole day is indeed very irritating. But somehow you have to release your anxiety, especially when you are going somewhere really important or you need to catch someone on a certain time.
