I love to eat and cook pasta. However, I am beginning to notice that I am gaining weight since I started eating and cooking pasta. I guess it's the carb and fat contents of the pasta recipes that I always prepare. Anyway, how can I make my pasta recipe healthier? Can pasta be healthy and delicious at the same time? Help please! ;)

I love pasta and eat it 3-4 times a week. If you want to slow down on the weight gain you will need to cut down your pasta portions. Or you can get the whole grain pastas but they call for more seasonings, to me, anyway. Pasta doesn't necessarily add the calories; it's the sauces that people put on the pasta that causes the weight gains. I don't use much sauce. You can saute some veggies (onion, mushrooms, garlic) in a little olive oil and stir your prepared pasta into that. Other vegetables are good this way too. Leave out the greasy ground beef and creams and prepared sauces.

yeah, i think that would help..i am used to using a lot of ingredients and meat in my pasta..i like it so tasty hehe..but i guess if i avoid using too much meat and substituting it with vegetables then maybe it would make a big difference ;)

I eat pasta everyday! :) Yes, pasta make people becoming fat. The only possible solution is to eat less pasta. Fortunately I'm thin and I can eat all the pasta I like. You can dress pasta with less oil or not eating some kind of condiment such as carbonara, nut sauce or suace with cheeses. If you are able to cook you can eat a good pasta even with a simple tomato sauce. I can also try pasta with pesto.
