How would you react if you saw a human skull skeleton in someones house?

My ex is a plumber so they go in a lot of peoples homes and fix things. In one house about 15 minutes from us he said the guy had a skull in his basement. It was just the bones from one. I assumed he was probably a professor or was given it from a professor or something science related. Would you assume as I did or would you assume he had murdered someone and be terrified? If I was there I might have been freaked out but just hearing the guy had one and not knowing if the guy gave me creepy vibes I just assume he wasent a murderer.

Nothing surprises me anymore! A mate of mine (who suffers from depression and is a HUGE Black Sabbath fan.. so this may explain it) was busy digging up her garden when she came across not one, but two cat skulls. Instead of her leaving them be she has them displayed on her fireplace! They were her cats but even so..it's a bit creepy isn't it? I do have the ashes of one of my cats at Mum's but I don't think I could handle a skull. My mate doesn't see anything wrong with it, however. Helps her "remember" them! I haven't seen them as she lives in Blackburn..absolutely miles away from here but I'm wondering how many people have seen them but didn't know beforehand they were there..like the gas meter man or something lol.

Black Sabbath had some great songs and I related to a few of them really well in my teens when I was going through depression before I was medicated. I'm kind of shocked about your friend digging up her cats bones and putting the skulls on her fireplace lol. I prefer my animals to stay buried so knowing where they are buried I will never dig there. I prefer to remember my animals with pictures but well to each their own.

She also lights loads of candles around the house but she lives on her own so she's not annoying anybody with it lol.

I would have freeked out. Once I entered a client at home and I saw a big puppet of plastic in the living room watching tv. I thought it was a joke. I asked him what that was. He told me it was his friend. I just freeked and wanted to go. I did not feel save and did not what to say. I just said I had an emergency call and I have to leef. Never saw or talked to him. So freeky.

LOL thats would be creepy. I would have probably done the same thing as you and found a reason to get out of there. What kind of client was it? I wonder if he knew someone was coming why he would leave this plastic puppet friend sitting there lol. Maybe he was a creeper but maybe he just does it to give himself a laugh when people freak out.

Yep! I would think the worst and assume that he was some sort of serial killer freak I think. When you come across things like that unexpectedly, you automatically go into shock mode and think the worst. Once you get over the shock, then logic kicks in and you start to think of reasonable explanations but the first thought is always still there...just lingering away!

Haha that was a really good answer actually. I think at first glance I would be really freaked but then after that I would just calm down and think well I'm sure if it was just sitting there where anyone can see it that there is a perfectly logical explanation for it.

First off, if a person has the skeleton just laying around in plain view, I wouldn't be freaked because then I would know that there must be a good explanation why he has it.
But if I just found it in his house where he was obviously hiding it, then that's when my spider senses would tingle. And I may be off running to the cops.

Yeah you definitely have a point there. I doubt if he was a murderer or serial killer or something that he would leave it out where everyone could see it. Finding something like that hidden would be so scary I would be out of there as soon as possible.

Hi Shaggin
Well, I dont have any friends who are into the witchcraft kind of thing and so I guess, it would be my only friend who is a doctor who will have a skull skeleton in the house. So I will not feel scared but yes, if I found it in anyone else's house... that might scare me... and I might even thing that this friend is trying to do something really wrong. I would ask and if satisfied with the response... it would continue or I might stop visiting him.

mamu, dont worry. You would be shocked to see a moving and living skeleton when you visit me... I have one that moves, talks, types, writes and does almost everything that you do

I won't react in a negative way, given that situation.
If he is my friend , I will ask him how he was able to have a skull on display. But if he is just somebody, maybe i will jokingly ask if he is a collector of weird things such as the skull.
As to your ex seeing it in a basement, i guess if the owner of the house is trying to hide something, he will not have it there to be seen by anybody.

Thats what I figured as well if he didnt want people to see it he would probably have hidden it very well not left it out in the open for people to see. He could leave it there just as a joke to scare people. I think if I was alone in the celler it might creep me out but if I was with someone else I might be brave enough to ask about it or just do my work and leave and pretend I didnt see it lol.

Oh my god, so scary. i think that it is normal to think like you but i had seen it in real i might have fallen unconsious and would have thought that even that person can harm me too. so many strange people live in this world, some good and some bad due to which we get scared. but it is horrifying when a stranger crosses by in others house.

Yeah, I'd have to know the person before passing judgment. Although I must say it is weird. At my school we didn't even study a real human skull. But we did have to go to a cadaver lab which I found a terrible experience. I would think that if a person was a murderer there would be other signs about the house and not just a human skull. My boyfriend says he wants a human skull, but if we ever move in together I don't really see myself having one of those in the house even if it was for my man and not for me.

Ick lol. My ex loved skull things like knickknacks. He has a skull tattoo on his arm. He draws skulls and everything but seeing this in the guys house creeped him out. I remember going to a yard sale at these peoples house when I was younger and playing with their baby kittens although I dont remember the people that well and I dont know if it was the same people or not who were living there at that time.

I have an imaginative mind. Sometimes too imaginative. If I were in a similar situation, I'd probably think foul play was involved. I guess these crime series I watch on TV have somehow made me a little paranoid when it comes to human bones :)

I don't think that I would assume that a person was a murderer if I was to see a skull in their home. In fact, that would really make me feel more secure that the person didn't have some kind of bad intentions for me because of the fact that they had the item out in the open. However, if I had to dig in their home and found something that was hidden, it really would be something that would completely freak me out.

I would agree with some of the comments if this person was murdered they wouldn't keep the skull out in the open. It would be buried somewhere in the yard. Now if it was a murder and that was the souviner he or she would be the sickest person on the planet. I may accidently knock it down to hear if it was plastic or something. If I knew the person fairly well I would ask to look at it and see why they have it there. Could be a Halloween decoration especially in the basement or garage. Then again you never know there are a lot of wackos out there.

I will not react anything special. I am a medical student so skeleton is very common things in my life. So if i saw any skull or skeleton to anyone house then i will assume maybe some one in there house is medical student or related with medical field.
Good luck!

Thats pretty much what I thought to. It seems all science teachers have skeletons in their classrooms. The chiropractor has one in her office as well. I'm not sure if all of them are real but I do know that the one in the chiropractors office is! It wouldnt be that hard to come across one if someone wanted one because they thought it was cool.

It is a serious case if you find a human skull skeleton in someone home.
First of all, I shall take a photograph without realizing by the home owner.
Then I shall stay outside of the home to observe and spy whatever activity the home owner has.
At the same time, I shall call and inform the police to find out the true.

Depends, it might not be real..or if it is, he might be a collector..or he might be a teacher or a professor..i mean no murderer would keep the skull of the person he killed right? that would be outrageous!

I asked my ex that and I remember him saying that there was no doubt it was real. He seemed creeped out by it but I was just like well maybe hes a science teacher or something. Murderers do weird things. Some like to keep souveiners of their victims but if this was someone who was doing that I dont think he would keep it so out in the open that anyone going into his basement would see it.

Hi,
If I saw human skeleton, I would ran as fast as I can and
won't never go back to that place again. It is kinda
scary to find human skeleton at someone's house.
Is it the house owner has killed someone and left the skeleton at his own
house?
Sometimes, we did watched some Tv serial where the murderer will hide
the victim at his own house after he killed them. Scary!!

This sight would probably freak me out a little bit. I do have a wild imagination at times. i could conjure up all kinds of reasons in my head as to why the skull was there. They probably wouldn;t be the right reasons, but you just never know.

If I saw a human skull in a basement then I will definitely run as fast as I can. The basement is a creepy place for a skull. If it's a collection or something then it should be on the bedroom or workplace. I watched too many crime episodes for me to be able to think logically. Who the heck will have a human skull in their house in the first place?
If the job of the owner of the house is science related then I think I will be more at ease but still. A skull? I don't know... maybe I just watched too many CSI shows.

It depends the way I find the skeleton. When I was in the university we had one in one of the classroom. It was from a profesor who donate his own skeleton to the science department. I know it is something diferent, that is why I suppose depending on what it looks like is going to be my reaction.
