How come there are so many people still out there who want to Sell a product or items thinking that they can do it for Free and not have to invest any time or $$ and become a rich person as well? There might even be that type of sort of person here in myLot who wants to earn $$ by selling a product or something and not wanting to take the time to invest some $$ and time in order to do so.
Even if it is just wanting to sell something on Ebay or make something and sell it, unless you are constantly getting stuff FREE from somewhere, you had to invest some $$ at sometime to be able to make some back. This does not mean going above your means and being broke. This just means making a wise choice as well as a conscious decision to what will work best for you.
I know over the years I have tried many things. Some of them were good for a time and others have always failed. At the present moment for me, it is crocheting things and doing my Jerky Business that works most for me. If it was making me enough to be able to quit my job, I would be celebrating, but until that day comes I continue to do all I can to make sure everything is staying successful for sure.

All those spam email that I get are lying? You mean I can't really become a millionaire by sitting on my butt all day doing nothing? Oh, how you shatter my dreams...
I agree that it takes effort to make money but not necessarily money (unless you count electricity and an Internet connection). I don't spend ANY money on online working. What I do spend, however, is time and effort - just like any other job, I'm exchanging my skills and time for money.
I'm going to go and sulk now. I expected a million dollars in my account today, since I'd not done any work.

True, it does seem to be a fee for virtually anything we try to sell and make money out of. I suppose if one can do so for free great but if one can't timing is always a factor. In other words can't do it if we do not have the funds. We just need to be business wise/sense while trying to make earnings.

That is so True for sure. Many times people need to be wise when investing into a Business, but at the same time be willing to put into it what it takes to make it work as well.

Hi, Tina....I've got scads of finished crocheted items that I need to sell. Some of them are suitable for gifts but it's a long time til Christmas. I've tried to figure out how I can sell the stuff and did put some into a consignment shop run by a friend of a friend. It was baby layettes and other baby stuff as the shop's theme is baby, toddler and young kids' items. But I've still got a lot of other things. But I keep on crocheting and adding to the inventory. Crocheting is relaxing to me. Right now I'm doing socks.

Your stockpile of extra items surely sounds like a lot more than mine. There for a while, I was selling stuff as fast as I could get them made, and actually have had people begging for me to hurry and finish something for them. They do make great gifts as well. Have you ever considered trying a Craft fair now that it is Summer or a small town celebration to sell your items at? A lot of times these are inexpensive and a great way to make some Extra money. Also there is Etsy.com and some of the other sites online to post your stuff as well.

I don't want to spend money to make money for example I got this email for working at home so I read it carefully I called her and asked is there a fee for this? And she saisyes a monthly fee depending on how much commission you want to make and then she said they are going to take taxes out to me that makes no sense at all or am I wrong?

The only absolutely free way to make money is with affiliate marketing. It is, of course, best to have your own website with your own domain which does cost you money there, but you could essentially do it on a free blog.
Any other ways of making money will cost you something. Whether it be to open a store or restaurant; buy merchandise for resale, making items to sell, or even going out to work for an employer will cost you money. There's not really any getting away from it. If you want a return on something, for the most part you will have to make some kind of investment be it time, money or both.

Well you do need to watch when it comes to earning from home, as some of the things will take $$ before they ever give you anything, and then it ends up being more of a scam, and then there are a lot of ways to earn money selling a product, and such as well. So it really depends on what you are looking for as well. There are also other Free things as people have listed. You just have to find the things that end up working Best for you.

I've always found it interesting that people want to do nothing and get rich too! Wouldn't we all... but that's not the real world! I have been forced into finding out how to make a living without a "real" job but it's been slow going and I'm just now after 2.5 years getting into tiny pieces of it! I have a bunch more ideas but not enough time to invest - yet. But it seriously takes lots of invested time to make things work...

That is a good thing. I know with all my Health issues going on right now, I know that there have been some questions raised to find out what will be Best for me, and if I should look more into my Writing again like I have done in the past.

Wishing you the Best with this venture, as being able to make enough $$ to live off of and not have to worry about working for someone else is a Big thing. I know in time it will all come together to where you will be able to do more with it. For me with my Business both online and offline it is starting to work for me. Just need more time to get it all together so one day I can work for myself as well.

it does seem like there are a lot of people out there that want something for nothing. That makes no sense to me. Everything needs to balance...give something receive something...they always say it takes money to make money.i believe that. But, it also takes time. I am trying to get my business going so that I can quit my job, but i don't one can do business without spending something. Like one of the mylotters said money & opportunity doesn't just fall from a tree. Also, i think if i didn't contribute all i could; time or money, I couldn't or wouldn't be happy with myself...or proud of myself!

Well it is a balance for sure. Anyone that tries to tell you all you need to do is invest some money and you will be rich usually is fooling people as well, but many times in Business if you have a product you are trying to sell, you need to take the time to invest in it to have the item, and then you have to be willing to go out there and sell the item itself.

Good luck Tina with all your money making endeavors. Where do you sell your products? What kinds of things do you make? I am a seller on ebay, I mostly use a dropshipper. I have bought wholesale lots of items and then sold them. Like you said gotta spend money to make money.

Well, I have an online company that I do the Jerky with, and do it both via that site, and offline like at Shows, to friends, coworkers etc. And then with the Craft items I have sold them to coworkers, and at shows. Have listed a couple of things in sites like Yard_SellR as well. Have thought about also using Etsy.

I know yeah it takes money to make money. It is such a difficult concept. I look at millionaires and feel like they have so much. However, they have it tough just like us. Money does not buy you happiness although it would be nice to have the money just to experience it for one day.

My husband has always said this and I find it to be so true. I don't think that there is anything that you can get into that you don't have to spend some money or invest some real time. I am wishing you great success in all that you do.

I know. I have a friend who always wanted to do it for nothing...I mean she wanted to use websites etc and not have to pay...that's hooey! I do sell a few handmade things besides my books...but I don't make enough money to live off totally from what I sell....so I'll pay the pittence that they charge to list my things on esty etc.

That is true but, if you start small enough, it won't take a lot of money to start.
We already have a corporation, started in 2009. It cost money to incorporate, set up the stocks, bank accounts, letterhead, etc. but that didn't cost much, a few hundred dollars.
But, I am creating a subsidiary now and have been working on the website which I already own but is not online yet. I will be selling things I've invented, now that all the legal work has been done for each product (i.e., trademarks, patents, copyrights, etc.).
Money will have to be spent once I begin selling these things in bulk because I will be subcontracting different manufacturers to produce these things for me and that means paying for that up front. Still, it will not be a huge sum of money. I've been saving money, putting it aside, just so I'd have enough to pay the manufacturers once the time comes. I've already received quotes from them so that I'll know what I will have to pay. Of course, I will already have orders for my things before going to the manufacturers, so the money I spend will be replaced and then some soon afterward.
Starting small is the way to go if you don't have a lot of money, as long as the money you make goes directly into a business account and you don't spend it. As that amount grows, you'll have the capital you'll need to expand. That is how I'm doing it.

It's all about how we invest what we have. It does seem so that we need money to get more mney. this is is often misleading and discouragiong to the plan we might have in our minds.

That is for sure, and explains part of the reason too many FAIL when it comes to trying to go into Business for themselves, either online or offline. They do not want to take the time and $$ to get their thing going, and expect the $$ to fall off the tree or something.

Yes, in general you are right of course. But there are probably still some ways to earn without spending too much, there always has been. But getting started definitely gets easy if you have some cash to get you started, I agree.

Yes, for most things in life it does take money to make money unless you somehow are lucky enough to be able to make something to sell without taking some time to spend some $$ first. Even Free things you find online you still need to invest $$ with your Electricity and Internet bill unless you surf from your local libraries and such.

It is true you have to be able to invest in what you are selling and hope that you can make more money for it then you originally invested in it. I personally sell used books on line. It used to be a pretty profitable business, but Amazon allowing penny sales has really hurt the whole business and the whole industry and it is a lot more difficult to make money then it used to be. I am trying to transition in to online writing more. I don't have to invest anything but time in order to make money doing that.

Of course we need to invest some money in the hope to return more money later.
If we are not sure and no confident in our investment, it is better not to take a risk to invest.
In my mind, good experience, good knowledge, good reference and good planning are the criteria of my confident to invest.
